After breakfast, my brother and I went to North Star Mall to tool around. I needed to purchase a few gifts for sorority sisters for sorority meeting. North Star mall was festive with many shoppers bustling about. Store managers were eager to sell their goods. Gift ranged from extremely expensive to very high end. Fortunately, I found some ornaments that you could personalize. Their names on the ornaments made them very special.

My husband and I went to North Star Mall to see the World's Largest Cowboy Boots. This landmark is located right at the entrance to the mall on San Pedro Avenue. It's not a great tourist attraction to take a selfie in front of without having to dodge traffic. Parking is pretty easy in he parking garage nearby. It's still worth while to take a few minutes out of your day to see.

Good mall. Overall has lots of shops inside and a good variety overall. Usually most employees are pretty kind through. I've had good experiences at majority of the shops here and unlike la cantera majority of the shops aren't pricey or super expensive. Lots of thing to choose from for entertaining or shopping. Overall this is a mall you can have a good time in and it's not run down or fading out. There aren't a bunch of empty shops and the environment is nice.

This mall has all of the basic stores you've become used to seeing at a mall. This mall is known for the iconic, cowboy boot statue at The entrance. Has all of the stores, I like to frequent such as the Apple Store, Tiffany and Company, Victoria's Secret, Bath & body Works, etc. has a variety of restaurants as well.

Only in Texas could you find something as quirky and over-the-top as the World's Largest Boots! Located right outside North Star Mall, these iconic cowboy boots are absolutely massive and make for the perfect photo op. You can't miss them--they're 35 feet tall and have all the charm you'd expect from a Texas-sized attraction. What I loved most was the unexpected delight of seeing something so uniquely Texan. It's free to admire, quick to stop by, and fun for all ages. Whether you're a tourist or a local, you'll appreciate the sheer audacity of these boots.

A must stop when you're in San Antonio. Cute spot for some photos of the giant cowboy boots

Lots of shopping store choices and four Major anchor stores. Parking is quite very busy and not enough. Needs more food court choices.

We can wander through just about every store, critique the latest styles, admire great finds, laugh at questionable fashion choices, and somehow entertain ourselves for hours. This adventure took us to the Shops at La Cantera, one of his favorite shopping destinations. Unlike a traditional enclosed mall, La Cantera is an open-air shopping center where you're strolling from store to store in the Texas sunshine. Considering we've had what feels like a month of nonstop rain, I was thrilled that Mother Nature finally gave us a bright, sunny day. While the rain has been good for the lawn and plants, I am definitely ready for it to stop. We started near Nordstrom and leisurely made our way toward Zara, popping in and out of stores along the way. One of my favorite parts of shopping is discovering what's new. I was pleasantly surprised to see several stores that had opened since my last visit. Exploring those new spaces made the trip even more enjoyable. You can find a variety of price points at this mall, making it appealing to a broad range of folks. By the end of the day, my brother scored a few stylish pieces from Zara Men, while I somehow managed to leave empty-handed. Surprisingly, I didn't mind one bit. The best purchase of the day wasn't something that fit in a shopping bag...it was quality time spent catching up, sharing plenty of laughs, and enjoying a leisurely afternoon of shop surfing with my favorite shopping buddy...my big brother.

One of the places in San Antonio she prefers is The Shops at La Cantera. It's this beautiful, high-end, open-air shopping center that honestly feels more like a park than a mall, thanks to all the shaded pathways, greenery, and water features. It's the perfect layout for a relaxed day out together, especially since we can stroll from store to store outside rather than being cooped up indoors. What makes it ideal for these outings is that it has a great mix of everything. His mom has a few specific spots she absolutely loves hitting up every single time, from the big anchor stores like Nordstrom and Dillard's to some of her favorite specialty boutiques. It really takes the stress out of our monthly outings because we already know the layout, the parking is easy, and there are plenty of spots to grab a bite when she needs a break. It's just a consistently great experience every time we go.

Pretty spectacular high-end outdoor shopping mall in San Antonio where, unlike the Quarry, every business seems to look the same and have the same design and storefront, which can make it really hard to actually find anything - but it's still really cool. I played a pretty famous show here a very long time ago when there used to be a Borders here. Fun times. We came here recently shopping for Barbie and we had a good time. Late night date spot called the Flying Saucer (and there I thought the one in Houston was a family business, ew). There is an ice cream store here and some bubble tea here that recently changed hands but my girlfriend hasn't changed hands in a while and hopefully she won't anytime soon.

They definitely still have some good options for shopping, but the amount of crime here is not worth it. Me and my boyfriend were here a little while ago stopping for some lunch and his door handle for his car got completely taken off. The security was unhelpful and nobody ever did anything to help. They have a security tower and cameras, but couldn't do anything about it. This is a non-trim in this mall and I don't think you should have to shop and worry. Along with that the mall doesn't have enough traction anymore to keep businesses running every time I visit There's another business shut down and one trying to start up again. It makes me sad. The mall has a potential to be something great again, but until they get stricter security and better upkeep for the mall this is not a good place to visit anymore. Something shady is always going on, and it's just not worth it. I hear complaints of this mall all the time as well as issues with homeless inside the mall. I've even personally witnessed a verbal attack from a homeless man to a woman. Right by the area intended for kids! Save your time, save your money.

This one is like Huebner, which is a very posh and enjoyable shopping center. I like to come here whenever I can because it has good memories and it's extremely well done. Barbie loves it here too and looks great here, but it can be a little bit difficult to walk around this mall with heels. Still, it's much better and more enjoyable than most strip malls, and has beautiful distant old memories for me, too.
