This is a fantastic mall. I've been visiting this mall for dare. I say more than 30 years! I think the first time I came here would've been about 1994 Ish that's hard to believe! Anyway, it is a great mall great shopping well laid out very clean. Very safe has nice parking options, including a garage and a couple of different places that you can use. I used one of the garages this morning outside of Dillard's. Helped shield the car from the heat and me too. :-) I really do have a great selection of stores and shopping and they also have good prices that can be found, including great sales and some of these wonderful flagship stores and the mini special entrance stores inside the mall. read more

My boyfriend gew up going to this mall and has a lot of memories around times spent there shopping, hanging out, etc. with friends. These days we go once or month or so to take his mom shopping for things she needs. Her go-to spots are Saks and Dillards. You can tell that back in the heyday of malls North Star would have been deemed awe-inspiring. The mall itself is very clean and spacious with all of the typical shops you expect to find (anchor stores, smaller stores, etc.). Lots of food options including The Cheesecake Factory and others. Easily accessible from the highway. And, who can forget the best part and my favorite part? The legendary and ginormous cowboy boots sculpture(s). In fact, the largest boots in the world. read more

Nice mall with pretty much all the stores you would need. I like that there's a Saks Fifth Ave at this location as well. There's plenty of restaurants or stops to grab a quick bite. Plenty of parking spaces within the garages and surface lots, even a valet parking section. Always love driving past the "worlds" largest cowboy boots! read more

My husband and I went to North Star Mall to see the World's Largest Cowboy Boots. This landmark is located right at the entrance to the mall on San Pedro Avenue. It's not a great tourist attraction to take a selfie in front of without having to dodge traffic. Parking is pretty easy in he parking garage nearby. It's still worth while to take a few minutes out of your day to see. read more

Good mall. Overall has lots of shops inside and a good variety overall. Usually most employees are pretty kind through. I've had good experiences at majority of the shops here and unlike la cantera majority of the shops aren't pricey or super expensive. Lots of thing to choose from for entertaining or shopping. I love coming to this mall mostly because of the iconic (must see) huge cowboy boots outside the mall. It's also one of the closest malls to where I live. I had to come back today to exchange something and I noticed they have these cool "art cows" each one has a unique design by a different artist! I took pictures of a few of them. I love the natural light that pours into certain parts of the mall so it's not so glum and dark. They have every single department store and a decent sized food court. They also have a Fat Tuesday and a small bar for the dads/men that don't enjoy shopping with their wives, gf's, kids lol. It's a clean mall and not so crowded. read more

I'll start by saying that North Star Mall is in desperate need of some renovation. This shopping mall is located right off of 410 just a few minutes from the airport which makes it a very popular shopping center for tourists and locals alike. One of the good things about shopping here is that it is an indoor mall which is a major plus with the Texas heat. They also have covered parking lots which keeps your car protected from the weather. The mall has numerous stores, as well as restaurants and coffee shops. I wish they had more maps of the stores around the mall since every time I go back I feel like I walk the entire place just to find the store I am looking for. A plus about this mall is that they have an indoor playground for the kiddos. The playground is located just underneath the food court section. On rainy days I'll sometimes come in the morning before it gets too crowded and will let my kid play around and get some energy out. read more

Visited recently and it's your classic big mall with tons of stores--Macy's, Saks, Dillard's, Sephora, etc. Food options are decent--lots of fast food in the food court plus some sit-down places like Cheesecake Factory and Kona Grill. Parking's easy with lots of spots. The mall is pretty clean and family-friendly, with spots to charge your phone and free Wi-Fi. Maps are around to help guide you. read more

I think this mall is pretty great compared to a lot of others. Lots of stores I mean a pretty good variety and it seems really clean. The food court has various options and there is almost always easy parking to find. If you're visiting you have to check out the giant boots! Fun mall with many many new stores and constantly being revamped. Huge variety of spots to shop at and nice little food court. I'd venture to say, it's one of the nicer malls in San Antonio. We walked around and visited some sporting goods stores and made some purchases. The sales that the stores had were pretty good. They had buy one get one 50% off. Every employee that we spoke to was very knowledgeable and polite in servicing us. I liked the value of the products that we bought. It was worth the vis. read more

While we didn't get to explore this mall as much as we wanted, it was quite extensive what we saw... We stayed at a hotel nearby this mall and killed some time here before we could check in our room. This mall has plenty of parking. We parked in a garage near JCPenny. The variety of store appeared good. We bought a couple dress shirts for 60% off at Express. Our daughter got a sweatshirt at Forever 21 for $5. We will explore this mall more the next time we are in town! read more

We have not been to this mall before and found it to be a surprising delight. All the employees at Dillards were extremely helpful and personable. Dillards, we found, had a great selection. Luckily they had a super sale going on, where we found not only what we were hoping to find, but for a great price and outstanding quality. Love the covered parking, which was great. We just walked right into the mall from the parking lot and came out to a nice cool car in the middle of the summer. We will definitely be back. read more

Awesome! Haven't been here in awhile, but they added a super cool arcade business on the top floor right above Victoria secret and it's awesome! I really wanna go back just to check that out honestly! Went to Jamba Juice, Zumiez and VANS store, OH and Hot Topic and Spencer's. Awesome per usual. A larger variety of store, so put on your shopping shoes & set your pedometer to track your steps since it's huge & there is a lot to see. From high end stores & Round 1 arcade & entertainment, and the food court & some new stores coming in. Plan accordingly if you are in a time crunch on where you park & where the store(s) your looking for are located. Leaving the mall took a bit to get out due to traffic & some construction in downtown San Antonio area. But if you have time, take a picture next to these Massive boots! read more

The shopping mall is not dead in San Antonio. In Vegas with the exception of the Fashion Show on the strip and open air malls, malls are dying slowly and rapidly. I was in a large mall in central Florida where you could count the patrons on one hand. It's a good thing to see brick n motor retail establishments stills surviving and thriving. The mall is spacious, clean, filled with customers and still houses flagship stores like Macy's that are fully staffed. read more

This mall is pretty big and has lots of shopping and food options. Parking is easy and free. Come at night time after the mall closes to get a picture of the world's largest cowboy boots, without waiting in line. Once the mall closes, you can park in the corner of the ground floor of the parking structure and take a short (1 minute) walk across the parking lot (using a crosswalk and sidewalk) to the boots. This was much appreciated taking a small child at night to get a photo. read more

I'm a fan of this mall because it has plenty of options whether you are shopping for clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry, etc. Multi-level mall that is spacious and well-organized. Security at this aiport is ever-present as they are always driving around the mall. The first thing you will notice about this mall are the gigantic cowboy boots. The boots face the interstate so lots of people have seen these famous boots. The mall also has valet parking and EV charging for electric cars. Couple of parking garages so parking should not be an issue as some have stated. I have parked here for the past 30 days I have been in San Antonio and have never had to look for parking for more than a few minutes. The only area of improvement to me is that there could be more food options. For a mall this size it is lacking in food choices....just a few restaurants and the food court. My mall back home is smaller than North Star but has twice the restaurants at the mall. read more

At a time when many malls seem to be downtrending, this one seems to be quite alive. I spotted only a small handful of stores which were shut for good. They have a really great food court upstairs that features a Chick-fil-A, subway and a variety of others. They do have some major department stores such as Macy's, JCPenney's, Saks and Dillards. We were pleasantly surprised to see even a local craft brewery near the food court. Between all the stores there appears to be almost countless kiosks offering almost everything imaginable. Much better than the South Moon, the West Sun and the East Wind Mall. Don't cut yourself when you're shopping here, or it's the North Scar Mall. And if you leave the Mall Door open, it's the North Door Is Ajar Mall. But nowhere near as good as Sun Moon Lake at Tea Top. This is a spectacularly busy mall in the near North suburbs of San Antonio which is packed with little designer shops and major department stores. Parking here can be a nightmare but we managed to get a good spot near the front door, so that was good. It's one of the busier and more claustrophobic malls, and yet I still like it because it has plenty going on. And Barbie certainly had it going on this day as you can see. The North Star Mall is not far from the San Antonio Airport and the home of the world's largest cowboy boots. I've never seen them from the plane (or tried to look for them), but I assume you could see them from a plane in the sky. Anyways, this mall isn't really special, but it is close to me and has some decent stores. Although there is a parking structure and another lot behind the mall, I always try to park in the small public part of the valet lot, near The Cheesecake Factory and Kona Grill. I think they should make the valet lot one row smaller and open that up for public parking. Sure, I could walk a bit more from the structure, but I've been coming here since before that valet lot and I'm a creature of habit. read more

Being a minority in the states, I felt awkward here. I kept getting weird stares and glares. WHAT! Have you not seen an asian/oriental. *roll eyes* I came here for a cheap pair of sandals since the ones I brought on vacation weren't as comfortable, thankfully there is a payless here. They also have cotton on, another one of my fave mainland clothing stores, so I bought 2 summer tops to bring home. The mall has variety of big stores like jcpenny and their food court has chick-fil-a, wendy's and many other mainland known food places. If you live in San Antonio, it's actually a nice indoor mall with many shops.. There's a store called Waikiki here, I laughed... I guess it set the theme with "cheap" tourist like clothing from asia.... Being from Hawaii, it's hard to not find that amusing. read more

Pretty much still a good mall. Last of a dying breed. Went Christmas shopping in 2021 and most stores were still open the food court has been reduced drastically! But the always aggressive Israelí tactical sales alley is still as reliable as always. It's fun to mess with these groups when try to lure you in with questions and handing you their pocket size Dead Sea lotions and creams or overpriced hair appliances! Just visited North Star Mall for what I am guessing is my 30th visit, this mall is very consistent as well as diverse. It's consistently is mainly upheld by the smell of the stores similar to a musty locker-room, while the diversity shines in the walking halls of the mall where many facets of males mentally undressing each and every woman unfortunate enough to be alive in there vicinity. And as far quality of inventory, this mall is looking more and more like Rolling Oaks every day, I gotta be honest. read more
