The experience has been far from positive. We negotiated prices, they took measurements of my property, we walked around the house, and in general, we had a detailed conversation about the work that was going to be performed. After agreeing to the price, I asked the son to send me a text outlining the services and the agreed price. After this happened, I was told the work would take a few days. A couple of days or so after the work began, I received a text stating the duration of the job would require extension because "there is no grass at the moment," and they (the grass supplier) wouldn't be open for a few days. I said ok to that, no problem. A day later I got a text stating it would cost them more to complete the job. Playing devil's advocate, I inquired into how much more it would require. I was then told it would cost another $1360 additional over and above the almost $3000 we agreed to. I was then asked if I wanted the job they started finished to which I replied all this was pretty outrageous as my front and backyard was already carved up. Long and short of this I was asked to make another payment of $1850 in addition to the $600 I gave them to start the job, which I did, following which they subsequently ghosted me and have ceased to answer or respond to any of my calls and messages inquiring into the completion of the work we agreed to. The installed grass in the front is of varying quality and is dying, the grass in the back of the house (other than a slim line on one side) has not been installed. You would be best served avoiding these fellows - they lack integrity and professionalism, and are very money hungry in general. They obviously do not adhere to agreements and are likely to do the same to you.

In the contract it states "Removal of Grass". Grass was raked, not dug up, not removed, and wasn't sprayed to kill the grass. Now the entire backyard has grass growing up through ALL of the landscaping. Don't waste your time with this business. You'll get excuses and customer-blaming and condescending responses from the owner.

He told me that his stump grinder was being repaired and he would return. I have made numerous attempts to contact him because of his failure to honor his contract (hand shake). He will not return my calls. I even threatened legal action. I threatened to contact the better business bureau and to post to the neighborhood site unless he honored his contract. That has not happened. So I do plan on reporting him to the better business bureau, and I do plan on legal action. I realize I will spend more money than it's worth financially. However, I feel obligated to take a personal stand against dishonest people. The contractors name is Darrell Nest, and his telephone number is 469-396-7497. If you wish to hire a dishonest contractor, then this is the person to hire. If, by chance, and Darrell reads this, please understand that my next step is the better business bureau, and after that, i will begin the process of taking action through theĥĥ filing with small claims.
