I took the Woodworking Introduction class with instructor David Hecker and had a really great…read moreexperience. This was exactly what I needed to get familiar with a professional woodshop and all the essential tools. The class accomplished its main goal perfectly: giving beginners hands-on experience with the equipment in a safe, structured way. Over two Saturday afternoon sessions (3.5 hours each), we made a simple candle holder while rotating through practically every major tool in the shop. We used the sliding compound miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, router, and various sanders. While the project itself wasn't particularly exciting, it was clearly designed to maximize tool exposure rather than create a masterpiece. David was an excellent instructor who prioritized safety above all else and patiently answered every question. The class size of about 10 people felt just right for getting individual attention. The woodshop itself is impressive with a fantastic selection of professional-grade tools. Parking was easy and the classroom was simple to locate. At around $150 per person, it's not cheap, but felt reasonable considering you're getting access to thousands of dollars worth of equipment and quality instruction. Just expect to get covered in sawdust! We had plenty of time to complete our project without feeling rushed. This class is perfect for complete beginners who want to learn woodworking basics in a supportive environment. It's specifically designed as a safety prerequisite for their more advanced classes where you can tackle more interesting projects. If you're thinking about woodworking as a hobby or just want to try it out, this is an ideal starting point. I'm definitely planning to take more classes here.

Despite being Filipino, I never was taught Tagalog growing up. I recently was inspired to learn…read moreTagalog, and I was super pleased to learn there was a place nearby that teaches it! I wanted to better connect with the language associated with my heritage, so I decided to invest the time and money to learn Tagalog. I took the Level 1 hybrid course with Rhya in early summer 2026. Overall, it provided a great foundation for introductory grammar and vocab for Tagalog. By the end of the first course, you quickly become comfortable being able to ask simple questions (like where are you from? what's your name?), answering with affirmative/negation statements, and even being able to ask "how much/how many" with Tagalog numbers right off the bat. The class structure felt perfect, with the small class sizes. The course was very interactive, as we were constantly engaging and practicing the language throughout each course. And of course, it provided a safe space to make mistakes and grow with the language. If we made a mistake, Rhya would walk us through our mistake to help understand where it was and why the correct answer was provided. The class structure was also perfect for my work schedule. There were times I had to travel for work and miss a lecture. Because I was signed up for the hybrid course, I was provided class recordings after each session, allowing me to catch up and not feel left behind. The sessions are definitely catered to working adults, with all courses being offered in the evenings. Each session was 90 mins long each week for 7 weeks. I learned a lot from Level 1, and I'm excited to continue on to Level 2!

The instructor that I had, Keiko is great. She is very patient and always willing to help. (The courses can be fast though depending the language and the books being used). The other people there are always very polite and helpful as well. The facility, while basic, is clean and conducive to learning. They seem to use a mix of media (e.g. slides, Quizlet, etc. which is good). FYI - it is near SJC - San Jose Int'l airport and the jets taking off can be somewhat loud at times.

When my wife began bringing our son I knew the class was special with all the unique crafts and fun things our 2 year old was bringing back. Then I had the pleasure to participate for a summer session and the experience was magical. These are the kinds of memories that will stick with you as a parent for many years to come. Teach Brenda does an truly above and beyond job along with all the other staff and teachers that develop a curriculum that is engaging, fun, and informative. I would go again and again. I always tell new mom friends about it because I find it to be such a valuable resource and a hidden gem in Fremont. This program doesn't get enough credit for how absolutely amazing it is!

I took a 6 hour beginning excel class here for my job. I was worried the class would be very boring…read moreand long but I was pleasantly surprised that it was entertaining. The class size was nice and small which allowed for individualized attention. There's hands on lessons and practice which keeps the class engaging. The instructor was upbeat, attentive and smiling throughout. We each received a manual and a certificate of completion at the end of the course. They also offer snacks, coffee, tea and water throughout training to help keep you awake. I walked away with valuable knowledge of beginning excel and they also offer a help line if I ever need assistance. I can also come back and re-take the class for no charge if there is room in the class. Someone in my class said they offer 50% discount for those who are unemployed. For approximately $250 a class, 50% would be a heck of a deal.

I cannot tell you how thrilled I was with this course: it flew by; the instructor was awesome (patient, thorough, patient, knowledgeable, patient); the material she covered was exactly what I needed to know with no fluff; and the examples/practice lessons were relevant and actually fun (did I say fun? who knew making pretty graphs would be cool?) I no longer fear numbers, sums, charts, lists, printing spreadsheets, or being asked to fix formatting nightmares. I learned that F keys are useful for more than holding your pen on the keyboard, and to embrace the words 'function,' 'formula,' and the "auto sum" key. Did I mention that they let you retake any course as many times as you want, for free, no time restrictions? Observations: * The place is really clean * The staff is very polite and helpful * Debby Brown, my instructor (and former 4th grade teacher) was totally awesome * The classrooms seat no more than 15 people (from what I could tell), so classes are small * The bathroom is clean (hey, it matters) * They use Microsoft 2007 (but also offer 2003), and the computer stations are clearly maintained: keyboards, chairs, and tables were spotless (what is nastier than a funky keyboard?) * Parking is plentiful I will be back. Thanks Debby!! :)
