I moved to Northbrook just over a year ago and was in need for a laundry service. After trying one other option I decided to give this place a try. I really like the owners service and the quality of the clean. I have also tried the tailor service which is really good as well. The thing that I like about these guys over other cleaners that I have used in the past is the quality of the press around the collar of the shirts which with other Laundry services usually requires some press work at home to fix but with these guys I have not had to do which is a major time save! read more

This was my worse dry cleaner experience. I dropped my wedding gown to be cleaned a week before my wedding day. When I went to pick it up the buttons on the back of the dress were yellowish instead of white. The owner kept telling me that that's how they were initially. My dress is custom made and I know exactly how it looked cause I chose all the details. So we argued and he told me to come the next day. He will see what he can do. Next day he showed me that he got different buttons, white but cheaper quality and he said that the other ones that I like were sold out and he has just 12 of those. Omg! So he will put 12 of those and 4 the cheaper quality. What a costumer service. He was very angry and he told me that he regrets that I am his costumer. Don't come here people! Do not go here. First time customer. Brought in 3 suits six pants and six shirts. Had custom made suits and shirts pressed for the first time before wearing. Snags on my suit pants and broken buttons in my shirts. The most disappointing is that my brand new white shirts never worn, now have a slight blue hue to them. Very very disappointing. read more

I have been using Northbrook Cleaners for over 20 years. The owners are friendly and helpful. Prices are fair. I've used them for alterations on suits and pants. A couple of times I asked that the alteration be adjusted and they did them without any complaints. They are also very good for cleaning of larger items like comforters. I do not recommend this dry cleaners. I got my clothes back extremely stretched out. When I confronted the owner, he said that sometimes clients ask them to stretch their clothes if their items shrink during cleaning. After I argued that I did not request that, he said that they must had done it to my clothes by mistake. Even though the owner admitted the fault, he neither agreed to reimburse me for the ruined items nor even refunded for the "service". read more
