They have this thing called reminders which is basically a pink slip every time you are late to class, late homework, chewing gum, and so much more. It was so horrible because I chew gum to help me concentrate and my teachers would get SO ANGRY for chewing gum when it was silent and the only person who it distracted was the teacher itself. Also, I got bullied so much in this school and the teachers barely did anything about it EVEN when they heard the bulling. This review though is for their nice fieldhouse facility and the Glenbrook North girls softball team members that conducted a softball clinic there. One of the kiddos is a participant in the Northbrook Girls Softball Association and these grade schoolers were given an opportunity to improve their skills for a fee at a series of 3 clinics held at the GBN HS fieldhouse. The fieldhouse is quite large with an indoor track, well equipped, well lit, clean, and modern and I had a good impression of it and the high school. The high school aged coaches were all competent for their roles and our grand-daughter had a good time here improving her skills.

Students cannot focus during this long of periods, especially at a high school level. Social exclusion is also a big issue at this school. There are plenty of prestigious schools in the area; you are better off sending you student to another private school or one of those until the new principal gets his head screwed on correctly and fixes the new schedule.

We were blown away…read moreby how much fun he had at Dangerous Camp -- the floor of the gym was covered in nerf bullets and the kids were decked out in safety glasses, the leaders seemed intelligent and fun, nobody behaved like sore losers when they lost competitions, they made everything really enjoyable... great experience. The music camp was super small but they accomplished a lot and my son, the youngest in the group-- still had a really positive experience. I was actually surprised because it's hard to make a tiny music camp fun when you don't know what instruments you're getting and what skill levels-- but they did a fabulous job. We kept in touch with a few of the students and they were great. We went to the open house for the school this year and looooved the headmaster's speech. It seems like a private school that actually sticks by their beliefs and doesn't only cater to rich parents. I was left with the impression that they have great integrity, and the people there were respectful, polite, and fun.
