This place used to be great. However it has went downhill over the past few years. May last experience in office here. I had finished my cleaning & waited 35 minutes for a dr. to come by. No explanation or no one checking in to let me know there was a delay. Made me late for another appointment I had scheduled. Today just took the cake. I received a bill for services performed on January 27th. I paid upfront & again when leaving because they had to do "more than anticipate". Then 8 months later they are trying to bill me again almost half as much again as what I've already paid them. read more

My first visit to Southern Dentistry. I arrived early and was told I needed to speak with the billing dept. because my insurance was maxed out. I went to the billing dept. and was told the same. I explained this couldn't be right, because I had not been to a dentist this year. I asked when they verified my insurance and was told earlier in the morning. I was told I would have to pay upfront ($96.00) for the cleaning. I left and contacted my insurance company. The insurance company stated I had all benefits available for the year and that's what they provided to Southern Dentistry. Not sure what is going on, but I will not be going back to them. read more

Dr Booth and his staff are the friendliest most competent people you'd want to meet. The 3D imaging technology that they use is fascinating.

I had a morning appointment they ground my Teeth down Then they said see you back at 1 o'clock so I had to walk around For an hour and twenty minutes then return to Dentist office to get the rest of my procedure done didn't discuss any of the procedure with me. Told me after they are all done that. They put a piece of plastic in under my Crown. Didn't ask me if I wanted They're done didn't discuss any other options now. This dentistry had the most 5 stars review out of all of the other practices I've seen so I went here and can vouch the 5 star reviews as true! First off, they are Covid safe because they make you text them that you're here and sit in your car to wait instead of waiting inside with other people. Once I got checked in, a staff member asked me to come in, and I was greeted by both staff members inside the practice. The staff are SUPER friendly and I was treated with such great respect! The gal who cleaned my teeth was very friendly and personable and the dentist who checked everything out was informative and very friendly as well. I ended up having a hole in one of my molars that needed sealant. But my teeth came out clean as ever when I walked out so they did a good job. Overall, I have had a great experience and would recommend anybody to come here. They also have a second practice in Robertsdale. read more

If you don't want to mortgage your house, stay away from this office. Their proposal was a root canal and cap on every single tooth. I am in no pain, just have cavities that need fixing. The cost was in tens of thousands. I said I could not afford that, and I did not want a root canal on every tooth. I was promised a call with a new proposal. Nobody called, so I called and asked for a feedback. Again, I was promised a call. That was a month ago. I am done waiting. I would NOT recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

Hygienists are top notch! Dr. Nebrig is a very competent dentist, no nonsense, and skilled at cosmetic dentistry (i had some chair side veneers done and was very pleased) The ONLY gripe I have is that the receptionist is a tad overwhelmed with her job. She is consistently grouchy and bothered by what seems to be routine annoyances one would expect in that position. Waiting for your appointment and hearing griping about insurance and patients isn't good business practice. I'll keep going here for the great dental services, but negativity behind the desk is not a good look. read more

I was very disappointed in the compassion of the staff . I went in with alot of dental issues. I have not had my smile in over 3 years ..I knew it would be alot but I was hoping they would work in my budget. After my first appt it was over whelming and I cried ..The women dentist acted like she had never seen that before. I was then handled over to Insurance girl Martha and I really liked her ,I thought she had my best interest until I tried to reach her to let her know I would have 3500 plus my insurance to work with. No return call except to tell me I would be seeing another dentist,now this is going on another month. I get in to see Dr .Evans and it's for a consultation ,I am sorry thought we did that . I was told we have to have agreement .Well I called over 4 times to tell you let's go and you never returned my call, now you tell me I have to start with a cleaning after a month waiting on dental repair work. No one told me it was another consultation .2 consultations in 2 mnths for the same thing , you agreed to the lady dentis plans but you are telling me you won't start any crowns or dental work so basically you are saying I have to live with teeth that are not fit to chew on and have decay that you want money but you are in no hurry to do the work.I did tell them I did not have a problem with cleaning but I had waited for my appointment and wanted my smile back even if we did cleaning in between. I Battle depression and I felt like I was a laughing stock of this practice. To switch Dentist, then switch treatments knowing I told you I wanted my smile back is horrible. I had over 3500 in cash benefits plus my insurance plan would of paid you. You lost that money and I saw the scenario of how it was planned to make me feel very embarrassed. Dr .Evans had the nerve to say glad to meet you. He is a fake and he could care less about me as a person .They are in Robertsdale and charge higher prices than Fairhope. Southern Denistry reminds me of High School Country Folks. Be nice to your face and talk about you when your not looking..I cried when I left again but I did nothing wrong to these people except be emotional. Sorry they can't handle people who have real issues and are having a tough time. .I did not cause a scene and I got my finances ready to do business but I guess they didn't need my money and I did not need a place where I was not the customer paying for your services. read more

Be Careful!!! I would strongly recommend you get a second opinion if you don't like what they recommend. I was told I needed work on 4 cavities and 2 caps replaced. I went for a second opinion and the Dentist was surprised and angry at what Southern Dentistry recommended. I'm sure some people have a great experience, but if you have any doubt, just get a second opinion.... can't hurt! read more

I'm not a fan of a dentist that comes up with a treatment plan a mile long with each visit. Feel like its dishonest, just after the money. Had 2 feelings (at 2 different appts) and both times I had to get the assistant to file down the rough spots. Never have had to do that before. I'll be shopping for a new dentist. read more
