Work they did for me: - Sanded and finished old fir and maple floors in my house. - Removed some old maple flooring and replaced with new fir flooring. - Installed the old maple flooring into another part of the house. - Put in new pine flooring. - Installed faux wood flooring in kitchen. The only negative I can think of is it was often difficult to get into contact with them. This is probably due mostly to the fact they are extremely busy because they do great work and are in high demand. And also because they are traditional craftspeople so aren't constantly on email and their cell phones. Given my very odd timeline (the job kept getting pushed back) and a lot of crossed wires (which were not their fault) they fit me into their schedule time after time and I am greatly appreciative of their patience and ability to get my job done. But when the Marmoleum install was flawed due to an air bubble, their solution was to go over the top of the flawed floor with a second layer of Marmoleum. In the process of tearing up the flawed floor, our brand new drywall was damaged and their attempt to fix it was lousy at best. The representative who came out even said he was concerned about losing money on the job. When we withheld payment until the drywall was fixed, we were threatened with litigation. In the end, we had to fix the drywall on our own.

I hired them in the summer of 2021; I had a huge project, a full renovation. I was approved for a FHA renovation loan which they were aware of beforehand. Kelly have experience with this type of loans. Within few weeks of starting, Kelly submitted unapproved invoices to the bank behind my back, made a bunch of financial errors in their calculation, increased their initial estimate fees. The bank became suspicious and delayed funds disbursement which stretched my project. They got money hungry, try to justify their financial immorality in the name of inflation, really?!. Very disappointing! I strongly believe that they saw in me a weak target they could prey on, it's saddening and heartbreaking. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone seeking to hire a contractor. At the very least, don't hire them if you don't live on site. Unless you can be there every day to question their single move. Not a trust worthy contractor.
