December 2020 Shame there is a 'no star' evaluation. They…read moreregularly missed days, the work was extremely poor - so much so it will cost much more to put right. They refused to follow building regulations regarding electrics. Took no care. Eventually took Citizen's Advice and Solicitor's advice and stopped the work. They turned up after 3 weeks to take their tools but childishly dumped a ton of gravel on front drive so unable to get wheelchair past. AVOID. January 2021 update Mr Geraghty, the owner, ignored phone calls, all letters and then the court. He has now been issued with a County Court Judgement against him. We were stupid and naive in trusting Mr Geraghty in paying upfront for materials which never arrived and of course, despite the court order, has not been repaid. I think we were lucky that he did not carry on because it would have cost us far more in the long term to put things right.

I was tempted to employ Mr Hall by a quote that was considerably lower than the others that I had…read morereceived. He ground out and repointed the front and side of my semi-detached house in January 2014. Whilst his work on the upper brick courses was satisfactory, the lower brick courses were repointed to a very poor standard. There was a great deal of mortar staining to the bricks, there were some small gaps in places where the mortar had not been replaced and some of the bricks that had been replaced were not straight. Some bricks that should have been replaced were not replaced. Despite his many and repeated promises over the last 12 months to come back and improve his work, he has failed to do so. I will now have to employ somebody else to put things right. Employ Mr Hall if you want a cheap job but not if you care about how it looks afterwards!

They also have a limited selection of ornaments and mirrors which match the surround that they sell. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and have a good knowledge of their products. The range of fires is wide, although they have a limited amount on show in the showroom. Fires and surrounds can be mixed and matched to suit everyones tastes. They also offer a repair services, and an installation service. Delivery is free, although most items have to be ordered in, so delivery can take a couple of weeks.

On my third attempt to contact them (emails were ignored) they stated that they had an issue with a batch of handles and would replace it. We have made recreated calls and been given promises of dates for the replacement but no sign of the work actually happening. It feels like once they have your money they just don't care.

Looked online for a bathroom fitter online, and came across FJB PROPERTY SERVICES. We went on…read moreholiday for a week, and left the keys with Franky the fitter. We arrived back from the holiday to find a beautifully fitted new bathroom , retiled, new vanity unit, toilet, shower unit and bath. Would highly recommend Franky and his team for doing an excellent job with the bathroom. They are very reasonably priced for the work carried out, especially as some quotes given were double the price of fitting. I am really pleased with the work done, and will use FJB services as my go to fitters, and household repair professionals in the future! Thank you once again Franky for a job well done!

Carpet rucking, underlay not laying straight under the carpet. Carpet fitter hammered in the screws…read moreto the threshold bars instead of screwing them and they are now coming out. The bars need to be replaced in order to get a good fixing. The guys in the shop don't want to deal with the problems with their carpet fitters. The carpet fitters said they had dealt with the problems when they hadn't. If the owner didn't have the ability of a small child in handling complaints and the carpet fitters weren't liars my experience of purchasing carpets would've been a lot better. The website says the carpet fitters are experts. They are only expert in lying.

They come out and measure up for you and are very efficient. They do have carpet books you can look through and order if you don't need it immediately. Quite a good range of offcuts too for smaller rooms. They also have a nice selection of Lino at good prices Car Parking is available on the road sometimes or you can park in Bethsda Car Park just round the corner.

When they attended I asked for quotes for several jobs. It was quickly apparent to me from their attitude and body language and responses that they weren't really interested. The quote given for the jobs they did quote for were, in my opinion, inflated and some of the jobs they just didn't want to quote for. In the end I asked them to carry out one job and they departed saying they'd get back to me to arrange a time to carry out the work. I never heard from them again. After meeting them, I expected little and got nothing.
