Hair is hard to rid but when in the shower, it's gross. a vacuum works better when everything is dry. Many construction workers have to be out of town and on the job by 7. This particular Holiday Inn has complimentary breakfast at 6:30 but what stands out is they put a gate across the dining area to ensure people who have to leave early can't grab a piece of fruit and head off to work. I guess staff doesn't value the workers who chose to stay. Every other Holiday Inn I've stayed, their staff not only allowed guests to grab something quick but offered assistance. Pretty sad. So if you have to be at work early, know you aren't getting anything in your belly.

If you feel you have to work out after a long day or early morning , there is plenty of equipment to exercise available 24 hours. I had a great sleep there in a very quiet room...loved it The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of the usual, but me not a big breakfast eater, I focused more on the different kind of coffees available. There is a parking lot directly beside the building. Fox Hill sits on beautifully landscaped grounds and there is a paved walkway in the back that leads to a partially covered patio space. This is where wedding ceremonies can take place, in front of babbling ponds full of frogs, trees, and flowers. It is a great backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The main room where tables were set up has vaulted ceilings with chandeliers - it reminded me of the barn-wedding craze. It's a large, beautiful, versatile space. Restrooms were clean and updated, staff was friendly and accommodating, and all of the food we ate was delicious. They had a buffet set up with salads, sides, chicken and beef. Great spot for special events in Cadillac!

The venue is gorgeous, we had a small wedding and that's why we used the Woodside Chapel tent area. They took care of the garden so well, it was very green and beautiful. Bryan is extremely thoughtful in his caretaking of the property: it's a beautiful building and the grounds are spectacular. He also genuinely takes pride in his ability to help curate an atmosphere that is unique to you as a couple, which is something that is not found in many property owners. We took full advantage of all of Nature's offerings, including having 70 of our friends on site with us in the glamping tents Friday and Saturday night. The glamping experience truly made our wedding so unique and magical: there is a huge fire pit in the middle of the woods that added countless hours for creating memories. The glamping accommodations were bougie enough for even the most high maintenance of our friends: everyone was comfortable and raved about their experience! When our original plan for hosting a Sunday brunch fell through at the 11th hour, Bryan graciously let us host the brunch at Nature, once again showing his accommodating nature (no pun intended). One thing I will say is that this venue is not for those who are looking for full service planning and coordination. We did hire a weekend coordinator (who did a great job) but even despite having her onboard, we had an incredible amount of help from family and friends to pull this off. There's no way we could've had the wedding of our dreams without the support from everyone including Bryan, but just fair warning that this venue is very much a DIY blank canvas and requires you as the hosts to be flexible, so make sure you're up for it! We had spiders the size of frogs in our tent all over! The owner made the wedding party put sheets on the tents, take the garbage out, sweep the floor of the tented banquet area, we had to set up table and chairs for reception, we had to set up chairs for the ceremony, again all while he and his two workers are sitting and watching us. He literally had the audacity to sit and watch all of us work! It's a shame they are willing to run this type of operation for such special occasions. My hunch is it won't last long!

Anyway, the shops are teeny tiny but pack a wallop by being beautifully curated and uniquely configured. I think I purchased more here than I have at any other shopping excursion I've had all year. They've got a shop dedicated to alpaca wool goods, a more gentleman focused shop called the Haberdashery, a pet boutique, a used bookstore, a toy store, and many others including my favorite of them all, Moonstruck Gardens, which is packed full of delightful art, stickers, home decor, and more. They also have dining options and a coffee shop if you're thirsty or a little peckish. The layout can be a little confusing but there's plenty of signage to help you along the way. But the beauty of it is just exploring and finding the fun around every corner.
