After I gave notice that I was leaving, the owner refused to pay me for the completed job, citing vague "charge backs" he could not produce documentation for when asked. When I pointed out that Maryland law requires payment for work already completed, he shifted his explanation multiple times and threatened to withhold pay to "offset" unrelated jobs. I would not recommend subcontracting or working for this company -- be very careful about getting clear, written payment terms before doing any work, and don't expect to be paid promptly (or at all) once you stop working here. I would like to note, I am the only female subcontractor he has ever worked with.

To say that the situation was challenging would be an understatement, but Gabe never wavered in dealing with the insurance company and the many vendors that were involved in the reconstruction of my home. Their work is impeccable, and Gabe spent many hours working on my case to ensure that everything was done to my specifications and within the allotted budget. He also worked tirelessly to incorporate some other renovation projects into the rebuild so that everything would be done on time.
