If you are looking for a place to shop that has unique fines that are picked up from different designers, this is your place. I love the different options that they have to offer. Now, they are pricey! It is not your typical Boutique where are you can get a shirt for $30. But on the flipside, their items are definitely high-quality and as I mentioned unique. What I really like about this place also is you can take your items home and try them on However you would normally wear them. They take down your card number and will give you a call the next day to see what you thought. If they don't hear from you, they will charge you for all of the items (or if you like them of course) or you can bring them back as long as it's in the 24 hour. I don't know of any places that do that, but I will for sure keep coming back!

The collections are high end, and they damn sure come with a price tag. Would I wear everything in this store? Absolutely! Could I afford anything in this store? Nope. A canvas tote bag was $125 and a designer dress was $895. That being said, I appreciate what they are trying to do in this market. She pulled extra pieces for me to try on and recommended the pair that fit best. With this selection and service, Idlewild is a great reason to shop small and local.

I've struck up converstations that go beyond fashion and have learned about the OTR and design from the women who work at Idelwild. My first time in, I learned about Brush Factory (now just on-line). And went on to buy some furniture there before they closed the brick and mortar. My second time in, I learned all about buying trips to Paris and New York, clothing lines and designers I hadn't known before. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful they have been.

For my appointment, I had the last one of the day on a Wednesday and I was the only bride trying on dresses. They had quite a selection of dresses to try on and most were what I was looking for. The bridal stylist I worked with was Brigitta who was very patient and wonderful. She worked with me to understand what I liked in a dress and if I was not liking a feature. She took my opinion into consideration especially when out in front of my family I brought who had loud opinions. Online and from what I found, the dresses were all under $2,000 just as advertised. I unfortunately did not get my dress here but would definitely recommend this shop.

My sales associate informed me that all of their dresses were on average $1,000 or higher. Disclaimer: when I made the apt online I noted my budget was $500, no one ever reached out and informed me this was not appropriate for this store. I was given an incredibly small portion of the "discount" and damaged rack of dresses to try. When I finally found pale blue-green dress that could work (It was $200 and heavily pilled and frayed in the seems). I took a photo and sent it to some friends and my husband. They all said it looked white with blue floral application. I'm the MOG, I can't wear anything remotely white (or photographs white) to this or any wedding. When I told them the feedback and that I couldn't get this dress, they started to pressure me pretty hard. I had my Mom and Aunt with me, they were pressuring to, because they knew that was the last dress that was in budget and could work. I finally had to very firmly say "I can't". I was pretty upset I was being encouraged/pressured to settle on a damaged dress that "could work" (not the feeling I was going for), because it was the last one in my budget. After that, I just got dressed and just left. I left feeling upset, small, and overall embarrassed. Went to David's Bridal right after, had amazing service, tried on so many dresses, and picked one that was half of my $500 budget! Helpful Hint: if someone makes an appt at your store, notates their budget, and if it's not realistic, please notify them. Also, there are no prices online to even gauge what caliber of price and product you have in the store. Even your "Tips" section doesn't elude to $500 being a small budget being it's considered a bridal boutique. "Bridal salons and boutique stores can range from $300-$2,000"-directly from your website. --maybe put a statement the average cost of dresses in your shop (that's not on the damages discount rack).

There might be 40 dresses at most when looking through your sizes. The dresses were expensive and lots of them gave a "trashbag" look. The lady "Barbra" that helped us used the phrase "well now i'm waiting for ur opinion" in a snobby tone, because I had told her before what I had and hadn't liked. This was very upsetting and made everyone in our group feel very insecure. If you've made it this far... go to Carrie Karibo. We were also rushed through the appointment and were only able to try on 8 dresses during the appointment. We went over to carrie karribo and we tried on over 20 dresses.

Less than 5 minutes off of 74 this locally owned shop has already saved me more money than I could have imagined. The owners John & Mary Beth are delightful. They will go above and beyond to save you money on anything you could possibly need. It is kind of hard to give an exact retail description. They carry A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING! It is so amazing. Everything from womans clothes to tools. It really is a treat walking around this place. The owner informed me he sales just about everything 50% off of retail which is nice for someone like me that has champagne taste on a beer bottle budget. If you go in and are looking for something specific and you do not see it, ask John about it. He may have is stored away. He informed that he has more stuff than he has room for which is great! You won't find a better deal on such a wide variety anywhere else that I have encountered. The town is nice, very clean and getting better. The parking is nice and the shop is in such a convenient location. A local business that is doing something new and I love it!
