I have never been to a chiropractor where the exam room is "open concept"; three exam tables in the same room, doctors providing the care in front of any and all other patients, possibly divulging personal information. It's somewhat embarrassing for me. You may or may not be seen by the same doctor. The initial examination/evaluation was thorough, you receive updated reviews every 6 weeks for insurance purposes. I found the treatment plan provided by the staff worked for me. At the beginning I could hardly walk let alone stand for more than 5 minutes . In talking with the staff they felt I could regain 40% back on my mobility. Today I would say that have 60 to 70% back. The staff here are great and created a treatment plan that works using the soft wave and the chiropractic has given me my life back . It was a big choice for me as we drive from Ottawa each week for treatment but one would would do again. read more

The staff is so awesome here. Everyone does their absolute best to answer questions and make sure you feel welcome. I've been getting the VAX-D treatment for lower back spinal disc disorder and they have been magnificent every step of the way. I can absolutely attest that anyone with back issues should stop in or call and schedule an exam with them. They are super flexible about scheduling around their patient needs as well! read more

Was a patient at Northern Lights for approximately a year. They want you to do a program that costs about $2500. The doctor that actually treated me was very good but I wasn't treated by the Drs I met for the program. I felt the program was a financial obligation. It felt like a money grab office. They bully you to feel like the program is made for your best interest. If you don't do it you don't care about yourself. The program overshadowed any positivity of the chiropractic care. I thankfully got out of the contract and am now a very happy patient to family chiropractic office that I respect and highly recommend. read more

My 13 month had a crazy fever . He was so hot to the touch . Miserable . Got him adjusted tonight and less then an hour later - fever free and NO Motrin or tylonel !! my mind is BLOWN! read more

Marketing was too aggressive, I scheduled my wife for an exam and I got "required" to show up with her for her next appt. I called the day of to let them know I could not accompany my wife to her appointment and they kept telling me "my presence was required" and if we both don't show up we will be fined 50$. FOR WHAT? my wife is a consenting adult. And when I finally got my point across they told my wife she can show up by herself. My wife had an appointment at 2pm and the door was locked at 1:50pm. Nobody answering the door and no one answer the phone clearly people was inside and ignoring her. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY! read more

They tried to make me sign a contract to pay $2,000 (this is on top of my insurance coverage). They wouldn't accept a co-pay for each session, so unfortunately I couldn't go there. It did look super nice inside and everyone seemed very caring. However, they have an open room with chiropractor beds (think like physical therapy). I prefer a single room with more privacy. read more

When I called Northern Lights Chiropractic after my first visit to cancel a follow-up appointment, I was told that, even though I was cancelling a full 6 days before my visit, I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee because I had "made a commitment to the doctor" by scheduling a second appointment. I told the receptionist that I would absolutely not pay it. When I asked her where in my paperwork I had been informed and signed off on this unheard-of cancellation policy, she said she didn't have it in front of her so couldn't tell me when or where I had been told about it. When I asked her to get my paperwork so she could give me an answer, she changed the subject. I told her that if I had been informed of the unusual cancellation policy (which was, apparently, that any cancellation at all results in a $50 charge), I would never have made the follow-up appointment to begin with. THEN, she claimed that the second appointment was paid for as part of the fee for my first appointment. So, she would have me believe that their policy was to charge me ONLY for appointments I DIDN'T come to. When I offered to come down to the office to be shown the cancellation policy in writing and where I had agreed to it, she told me that someone had JUST put my file in front of her and she could see that I was never informed of it. She went on to tell me that I should still consider coming in because my x-rays were "very concerning." I don't understand why this person who is not a medical professional was looking at my x-rays or discussing them with a doctor, as was implied. I would definitely not recommend this place. read more
