After 2 yrs your memory has obviously gone to mush! As you were hanging Christmas lights at our wonderful neighbors house, yes, I asked if you could fix a section of eve that had come loose. You had the tall extension ladder in between our houses, two feet away! At first you said "no", we can't do that.....then after thinking about it, you knocked on our front door and said you would do it for $250 dollars! I told you...."Tis the Season"! You then got rude and it was obviously about the money! Just an FYI...LYING doesn't look good on you! My review wasn't a "revenge" review....it was the TRUTH! I stand by my first review, DON'T waste your time or money on this company! P.S. I am surprised you're still doing Pat & Frank's house for Christmas , she said she was going to fire you! Bret recently installed accent lighting in my front yard. His skill and 30 years of experience are evident in the outcome! He knew precisely where to place lights to make my home and yard look beautiful at night, while also discouraging would-be porch pirates. Bret truly wants the customer to be happy. He is very responsive to calls and messages, and he stands behind his work. If you anything should happen, Bret said to just call him. He confirms the day or two beforehand, texts/ calls when on the way, and shows up when he says he will. Very reliable person and very fair pricing! Northern Lights did a phenomenal job lighting the front of my house! You cannot find better quality fixtures or a more professional installation. They truly did a great job and were worth every penny. So why not 5 stars? One of the 12 lights has never worked. It has some kind of short in it because it will blink on and off if you wiggle it. Northern Lights has NO customer service. They are a small two or three-person operation so I get it. But I have called repeatedly and they never call back. It is probably something I can fix myself if they would call and walk me through it. I have to recommend Northern Lights because of the great job they did. The other 11 lights have worked flawlessly. I'm really pleased with it. But if you use them, make sure everything is working to your satisfaction because there will be no after care. I was out of town when mine was installed. read more

Far too expensive for a home service!! Yes, they do a fabulous job and we got compliments. But after the initial purchase of their ( high quality) lights, we understood the yearly cost would be much lower. Last year for the front of our new 4 bedroom house in a subdivision, we understood the nearly $3000 cost. It included the purchase very attractive and high quality holiday lighting and the permanent installation of pool lighting. They put up the lights and set up permanent attachment points. That installation included pool lights-- a permanent installation. All done professionally and fast! This year I expected our total fee to be about 50% of last year's our storage and installation/take down fee after subtracting for the pool lighting. But this years invoice INCLUDED our pool lights-- which was supposed to be a one time expense, an error that took a long time to get fixed. We didn't get the revised statement until time to take the lights down. I was surprised that the re-install and uninstall in the revised invoice was nearly $1500. In addition the storage fee was close to $300. This was far more than I expected for a job that this year took under 2 hours to put up and less than an hour to take down. I'd anticipated a cost of about $1000. But I have no recourse since this was an oral agreement. My bad. The costs for this service is more in line with a commercial service-- it was nice-- but too much for the forever home for 2 disabled military retirees. read more
