One gentleman decided the best way to start his day was to bark at us because he didn't like where one of our group parked. We loved the grounds. The dock out back has some of the best small mouth bass fishing we've experienced is decades. We pulled a 4 lb lunker off the lake (catch and release). All the cabins looks like they might be in better shape than the actual lodge, but we didn't see inside them. I'm just saying keep your mind open. It's a cool place and worthy of your stay.

The cabins smell so bring Febreeze. They have dishes and items you can use. Bring ice. They provide clean, comfortable beds and linens, towels, etc. You may need bug spray to get rid of ants. There's a picnic table and a grill. The owners are really nice. It's a good location along that bay, next to almost every other resort/cabin/motel like place. It is CASH only for the rental which is due upon checking in. Phone signal is spotty. Upgrade your cell service so that you are not charged for roaming-turn off roaming. Get unlimited text. The phone company will think you are in Canada. On the far east side, there's no signal. About $85 for a small cabin.

They have your standard rooms and other rooms called "Loft" rooms for family's, which are two story rooms. The upstairs has another bed. Downstairs has two double beds. Some even have a kitchenette. The amenities are so great, that if you never left the hotel grounds you would have had an amazing time!!! They have a bowling alley, restaurant (not half bad), a golf course, volleyball, tennis court and a sauna. The best place to stay on this little island. A definite must!!! I love Drummond!

The park and facilities were immaculate. The dock was well maintained. The sites were a little narrow but filled with large travel trailers and 5th wheels. I had no problem putting our 38 ft TT in a back-in site. We had great views of the channel. The rates for a waterfront site with full hookups were very reasonable. We will stay there in the future.

These little cottages are perfect for a family stay for a week or five (I wish). It's a beautiful spot right in the middle of the Les Cheneaux Islands and you have a beautiful view of the water from inside your cottage and on the deck. There' a boat dock where you are free to keep your boat if you bring one, or you can just fish off the end like some of the little kids have been doing this week. They have a makeshift little beach area with about six plastic Adirondack chairs and I'm telling you, these kids staying here can't get enough of that sand. Right next to that area they have five kayaks ready to go- my cousins and I take full advantage of these every time we stay. Every cottage's deck has some of their own Adirondack chairs which we take from one to the other since we stay in two cottages right next to each other for the week. There's also a charcoal grill at each one which, again, we take full advantage of throughout the week. There's a fire pit off to the side of the cottages which I a great way to spend the evenings. Inside the cottages- fully stocked with dishes, towels, blankets, etc. There's free wifi and cable in each one. Plenty of outlets if you're worried about charging electronics or if you (like my mom) will be working at any point during your stay. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, and microwave- so everything you could need to make any meal you desire. The owners of this place are incredible. Kirstin an Jason are two of nicest people we've met and they really care about everyone here and making sure you enjoy your stay. They live in a house right on the same property so they're almost always around. Both of them drop in periodically to make sure you're enjoying your time and that there's nothing you need from them. They own the North Coast Company in Hessel now which is an ice cream, fudge, and coffee shop inside the showroom of E.J. Mertaugh Boat Works. This was the first Chris Craft dealership in America, for those of you who enjoy boats. This part of Michigan is simply incredible. It's beautiful and quiet with plenty of outdoor activity going on. You're only a little bit away from Mackinac Island, the Soo Locks in Sault Ste Marie, and Tahquamenon Fall- all excellent day trips during your stay. I would highly recommend staying at Ford's Cottages to anyone. You jut can't go wrong here!
