My girlfriend and I love to cook and she heard about this place from a friend of hers so we thought we'd go down to Northfield and check it out. There is also a Redwing location as well that is owned and ran by the same gentleman and his wife. They have so many awesome and very good infused olive oil and vinegar laid throughout the entirety of the shop in fun decanters. I think they're called decanters. Haha if you'd like to cook and you know how to use your olive oil please go check this place out. The owner that helped us was actually very informative and the samples were perfect for helping us pick out which ones we wanted to take home and use. read more

Every time I come to Northfield I stop in to get a couple bottles of olive oil for home baking. I love the blood orange olive oil for my dark chocolate brownies and the herbs de Provence for focaccia bread, turkey, chicken, dipping breads. I use the vinegars with a light in flavored olive oil for beautiful salad dressings.. A must on my list of places to go in Northfield. read more

Dark chocolate vinegar -- it may sound awful, but that's where you're wrong! It's so tasty! This shop carries olive oils, vinegars and flavored salts for all sorts of culinary crafts. I've even heard of folks drizzling select vinegars over ice cream! The best part about this place is that you can try before you buy. This is a really nice shop and is a must when coming to Northfield. The owners are so nice and accommodating. They have not only oils and vinegars to sample, they have an assortment of salts. On my weekends, I volunteer registering people to vote. I was looking for an apartment nearby and stopped in to ask what the street was I was on and the owner/manager lost it in front of customers and told me to get out of the store. This store has become a food destination. Go in and try lots of different olive oils and vinegars. This doesn't sound like fun, but it actually is. The shopkeepers are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I took a bunch of out-of-towners there recently and everyone was impressed, and most bought something. The vinegars are really the star. They are so good I use them on salad without any oil, which is both tasty as well as healthy. TIP: Try the Fig vinegar. Even if you don't like figs. Just do it, thank me later. read more

This store is a great place whether you are looking for your own kitchen or gifts for others. I was shocked to see how many different types they had for both olive oils and vinegars. In addition they had several types of salts. The staff was very helpful and took the time to share some creative combinations. Such as the cilantro garlic olive oil mixed with the dark chocolate balsamic. It was great! And would make an incredible steak marinade. I ended up purchasing the cilantro garlic olive oil and the white lemon balsamic vinegar. I plan on using these items primarily as a salad dressing. The prices are reasonable for the product. I will be back to try more combinations and expand my oil palate. read more

If you are looking for fresh, flavorful and affordably priced bulk olive oil and vinegar, you have to make a trip to this store. The staff was incredibly helpful in walking us through the process of buying bulk: as well as creating amazing combinations of flavors for us to try. Our original intent was to look around and try a sample. But after the insight into how the products are made, how to use them (including recipes) and the contagious enthusiasm of the staff, we couldn't help ourselves and left with seven bottles: Coratina EVOO from Chile, Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar, Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil, Blood Orange Fused Olive Oil, Peach White Balsamic Vinegar, Honey Ginger White Balsamic Vinegar and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar. I went in here to browse and didn't plan on getting anything but holy moly! They have some amazingly delicious flavored oils and vinegars!! I ended up getting the espresso balsamic. I could have easily bought several other things but was trying to stay reasonable so I didn't get in trouble at home for getting too much foodie stuff I don't need! Ha! Love, love, love this place! Honestly THE BEST balsamic vinegar I've ever purchased or tasted! So sweet and mild, incredibly delicious. The flavored olive oils - particularly the garlic, rosemary and herbs de provence flavors - are also wonderful. The flavored salts are also unique...not ones you can find just anywhere. You can sample everything and shop at your own pace. They also fill the bottles while you wait for them. Definitely worth the drive from the cities! read more

They have an amazing selection of olive oils and vinegars, as well as some spices and the most extensive selection of salts from around the globe. Northfield Olive Oils & Vinegars is a fantastic new business in Northfield. I'm hardly a foodie, and I'm not into wines, olive oils or anything like that... but they have converted me after a recent trip to this shop, and an amazing tasting session. When I walked in, I wondered "where is the bread for the tasting", none needed. The flavored balsamic vinegars can be drank alone because they are so delicious. They have everything from a plain balsamic to espresso, dark cherry, cara cara orange with vanilla, cinammon pear, pomegrante, raspberry, juniper, fig, and probably a dozen more. They come in a range of sizes from the $6 sample to a $20 full size. The owners are a very friendly couple who will be more than happy to share their expertise on the products, and they don't come off as snobby foodies, they really just love and are enthusiastic about their products. If you are looking for a lovely hostess or holiday gift, this place is the place to get an affordable and unique present. read more
