Lots of mature trees define the holes and a fair number of sand traps, both in fairway and around the greens. Green fees are a little pricey but there are a number of discounts available. There was one green that was in rough shape and there were some irrigation repairs being done but it was barely noticeable. It was a little expensive, $85 for 2 on a cart doing 18. But we had a blast, so it was worth it. BRING BUG SPRAY. The gnats were terrible, our tee time was 7:00AM, they were brutal until about 10, but still present after that. The clubhouse had a nice bar. Burgers and cheese curds were really good.

Their store has what is by far the biggest selection of equipment and golf apparel I've seen anywhere. Better selection than the big sports stores, plus it's nice to deal with people who know what they're talking about. They've taken care of me with every purchase. Bought a putter a couple of years ago which had some cosmetic issues after about 3 months. Took it back and gave me a new one. Try to do that in 15 minutes on the Internet.
