So well furnished and equipped: kitchen, games, wood for fires, you name it. Bring yourselves and your clothes is all you need (and food if you are cooking!) Close by are some great things: Seed Savers just down the road, Toppling Goliath Brewery and others in Decorah, Bily Clock Museum and Dvorak Exhibit in Spillville ~25 miles away. A must see. Cowboy Joe is one of the owners and you can tell how much time, love and care goes into maintaining the property. The cabin's are warm, cozy, clean and stocked with everything you could need. They even present you with homemade chocolate chip cookies upon arrival that were incredible! I do recommend bringing all of your food necessary for your stay because the cabin's are extremely secluded. Any businesses are about 20-30 min away and even then, what IS there is extremely limited. My husband and I were prepared for this, so it didn't detract from our stay whatsoever-I say that as an fyi for future guests. The porch with rocking chairs was our heaven so we could read and listen to the sounds of nature. We highly recommend staying here! You won't regret it!

I was able to sleep in, read, sit on the porch and watch the deer, and wander the area and property taking photographs. Read the FAQs, don't expect to be fed a whole lot to do--that's really not the point. I look forward to returning some day to experience what it's like in a different season and explore other roads and little gems in the Driftless.

There weren't a lot of instructions on where to find the remotes to the various electronics including the fan and the wifi did not work at all. The firewood was a bit expensive at 10$ per bundle. It was a small cozy little cottage and the owners made sure it had all the things you might need for a weekend getaway. The cabins are set in the beautiful hilly area of Driftless of Wisconsin and has absolutely stunning views. Might fo back to try a different cabin.
