From our very first consultation, he didn't overpromise, but his calm, optimistic demeanor immediately made me feel I was finally in good hands. We proceeded with a gentle, carefully monitored protocol. He checked my hormones continuously and adjusted my medication doses based on the results. Because of that individualized care, I had an ideal outcome for my age (39). Our first transfer worked, and I am now 11 weeks pregnant with a healthy, growing baby. I started at a local clinic in…read morePortland, Oregon and had a very standard experience: one egg retrieval, generic protocol, and we got 13 mature eggs, 2 blasts, and 0 PGT-A normal embryos. No additional testing or changes were recommended for a second cycle. That's when I started looking out of state and was referred to Dr. Kuo. This review is not just because I'm now pregnant. Even if I wasn't, I would be saying the exact same thing about the level of care I received. Dr. Kuo is the most meticulous and detail-oriented doctor I've ever worked with. Nothing is brushed off, nothing is "good enough," and nothing is done just to move things along. He holds himself to an extremely high standard, and you feel that as a patient in every single decision that's made. It's very clear that he cares deeply about getting it right, not just getting you through a cycle. Before my second retrieval, he did additional testing on my husband that my previous clinic never even mentioned. We found very high sperm DNA fragmentation, which we treated with three months of Chlomid before moving forward. During my retrieval cycle, I was monitored extremely closely and my protocol was adjusted in real time. The difference in results was honestly shocking. We went from 2 blasts and 0 normal embryos to 21 mature eggs, 9 blasts, and 3 PGT-A normal embryos. Before transfer, he also found a uterine polyp that my previous clinic missed, which I had removed. My first transfer cycle was actually canceled due to bleeding and not being an optimal uterine environment. I fully believe many clinics would have just proceeded anyway. Dr. Kuo did not. We adjusted, waited, and did it right. The second transfer was successful. At 8 weeks pregnant, I had a scary bleeding episode, and this is another area where Dr. Kuo stands out. He was in direct communication with me every few hours for days, giving clear instructions and actually monitoring the situation in real time. I never felt like I was on my own. The communication model is unlike anything I've experienced in healthcare. You are in a group text with Dr. Kuo and your coordinator, and you can reach them at any time. That level of access and responsiveness makes an incredibly stressful process feel manageable. The clinic as a whole operates at that same level. Dr. Kuo personally performs every ultrasound and you meet with him at every single appointment. You are seen on time. You are never wondering who you're going to get or waiting weeks for answers. There is a level of consistency and accountability that is very rare in this field. My coordinator Eliana was amazing. So organized, so calm, and completely on top of everything. Blue, Clarissa, and Lizeth were also incredible. They knew my case, they were involved, and they genuinely cared. It never felt like I was just another patient moving through the system. If you feel like something is being missed, if you've had a failed cycle with no real explanation, or if you want a doctor who is actually thinking through your case instead of running a standard protocol, go see Dr. Kuo. Traveling out of state was 100% worth it.

God Bless Dr. Yongjun Lu Daom...I truly am so happy that we found him! I had been going to him for severe pain in my neck and shoulder four years ago and then lost touch as I moved to Seattle. I am back in LA and have been going to him since late 2016 and am pain free now. His new office is very clean and sterile technique is very important to him; as he cares for his patients. He is a very committed to healing all his patients and does it with a dedication I have seen in no other Doctor...he genuinely cares. He works with the energy (chi) of the body and the environment as he heals. He goes back to China 2-3 times a year to update his technique and knowledge of the vastness of acupuncture healing, I have witnessed the change in his technique over the years. He is very mindful of the progress he makes and how to alter the treatment per my presented symptoms. He is go generous with the use of needles - I have been to other practitioners that hesitate to use 5-10 needles. Dr. Lu's focus is just to heal and there are times when he has used in excess of 50 needles for my treatment in one sitting...he just makes sure I can handle it. His treatment is very interactive and he really listens to what you tell him about your pain. There are times I have gone in to treat my shoulder he finishes the treatment, asks about a previous ailment (my thumb has started to hurt) and if there is still lingering pain he will not hesitate to treat that area as well! He is very optimistic and energetic. He is a qualified Herbalist as well but never pushes any treatment. He does make recommendations based on symptoms e.g. I feel very, very cold all the time. While treating me he noticed how cold my feet were and suggested a Chinese herbal medicine. I have started taking it and am noticing a difference within a week. I am delighted to write a 5-star review for Dr. Lu, who has helped me tremendously in improving the numbness of my left foot caused by nerve damage resulting from a bulging disc and a car accident during my surgery recovery. Dr. Lu is an outstanding physician with exceptional skills, expertise, and compassion. From the moment I stepped into his clinic, I knew I had gone to the right place. He listened to my concerns with empathy and patience and took the time to explain the treatment options available to me. He made me feel at ease and confident that he would do everything possible to help me. Dr. Lu's treatment was personalized and effective. He used a variety of techniques, including acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, and cupping therapy, to help me regain sensation in my left foot. He has also recommended natural herb medicines to help me with sleeping difficulties and insomnia. I am now sleeping at least two hours more than before. This last Wednesday I developed a non-stop excruciating pain on my left thumb that extended all the way to my wrist; I couldn't even grab the door knob to turn it. The continuous pain persisted all night into the next day. It just so happened that I had an appointment with Dr. Lu for a severe stiff neck that I've been waking up with on an ongoing basis for many years due to stress and tension (BTW I'm 74yrs old). Since I've been seeing him I can't remember the last time I had a stiff neck, but that's another story. By the time I left his office the pain in my thumb had 60% vanished and kept lessening by evening. By next morning I was able, with some difficulty, turn the door knob, by evening I had no pain and was able to grab things as if I never had any problem to begin with. Dr. Lu has a gift for narrowing down to the exact cause of the problem and place the needles exactly where it's necessary to speed up the healing process. Actually about a year ago I had an issue with an inflamed knee where I couldn't bended it. The outcome then was very similar, by the time I left his office, albeit it took a few days for the knee swelling to fully go away while resuming 100% use of my leg. I have not had any problems with my knee since in spite of walking anywhere from 6-12 miles a day. read more

Dr. Lu has helped me tremendously! I am a athlete , workout almost everyday , and play basketball in college! So when I got a nasty ankle injury I was more than disappointed, that my activity would be at a halt. A friend of mine told me to go check out acupuncture for the swelling the pain , as well as aiding in a quicker recovery! It was but maybe 2 days after I got hurt that I was searching for an acupuncturist. As a constant doubter of Eastern medicine after many years, I finally gave acupuncture a try. I went in initially for terrible menstrual pain but was also treated for dry skin. I was at a point where walking or moving during that time of month could be extremely painful so I took acupuncture as a last resort. Within the following months, the pain subsided and instead of being cold and wearing a long sleeve shirt with a vest and jeans in 90 degree weather, I could actually feel warm and function properly. This was coupled with herbal medicine he prescribed for me. Dr. Lu is great at asking about your symptoms and making sure you are comfortable in his clinic. I was surprised by his timeliness with checking up on me during the appointment while estimating a proper time for the process. The clinic is clean, and I would have to say that after the eczema on my hands also cleared up, Dr. Lu does his job well. After months of severe back/shoulder pain, I went to doctors & physical therapists to cure my pain but none of their efforts gave me relief. Upon the high recommendation given by my mother and reading all the wonderful reviews of Dr. Lu, I decided to visit Dr. Lu. At first, I was a bit hesitant about acupuncture (not sure how much it would hurt, etc), but Dr. Lu knew right away where the pain was originating and Dr. Lu made it as painless as possible. He really is a magician! After a month and a half, I can easily say that I have less and less pain in my back and shoulder. He is a miracle worker. Before, I was unable to drive nor pick up anything due to the severe pain, but I am now able to move with ease. And, if my pain flares up, I visit Dr. Lu and the pain goes away within moments. At my last appointment with Dr. Lu I mentioned that I'd had several sleepless nights and was feeling overwhelmed. He said at the end of our session he would balance my qi. When he put the needles in to balance my qi he told me to try to rest and he left the room. I began to feel very relaxed. Soon I felt a calm energy building in me and I basked in that wonderful feeling for a while. He came in to check on me periodically. I became aware of the tension in my body as it gently released and I drew a deep and effortless breath in that felt like my first deep breath in days, maybe longer. I continued to breathe effortlessly as my whole body and mind settled into this incredibly peaceful place. An hour later he removed the needles. I felt like a new person. Dr Lu was recommended by a wonderful young women who was giving me my pedicure and I told her about my sciatica related symptoms. I am so glad she did! Dr Lu is amazing, he placed needles in certain areas and each time he told me to cough so that they did not hurt. I had numbness in my left thigh, he came in to room several times to check on me and added a needle in my solar plexus. As I lay there emotions came and tears rolled down my cheeks. I had images of many Chinese Masters assisting with my treatment. I could feel my energy flowing in away that it had not in over a month. When my treatment was over I felt wonderful with my energy flowing allowing my body to be and my numbness was just about gone. I recently had an exceptional acupuncture experience at Northridge Acupuncture. Dr. Lu was not only skilled but also attentive, creating a personalized session based on my needs. Given my struggles with lower back pain and bulging discs, Dr. Lu addressed these concerns with expertise. I brought my son to Doctor Lu to treat his allergies. He was congested to the point where he could not breathe through his nose at all. Thankfully, after his first treatment, one nostril opened and he could breathe through it. He is 11 years old, and even though the treatment does include different sized NEEDLES, he didn't complain or cry. After his third treatment, he was able to breathe through both nostrils. We also purchased from Doctor Lu a special Chinese herb tea that he was drinking between treatments. This tea helped open up his nostrils, reduced congestion in his nasal system and lungs. Discharge from his sinuses is much less now after treatments. I would recommend Doctor Lu because he is very knowledgeable and kind. Also, herb treatment (together with acupuncture) gave the best results so this was the right choice for my son. read more

I am a cancer patient and without Dr. Lu I would not have been able to finish my chemo therapy. I had terrible neuropathy in my hands from the chemo. It felt like fire crackers going off in my fingers 24/7. It became unbearable for me. So much so, I was going to forego 2 rounds of chemo which I desperately needed. Dr. Lu is the only reason I was willing to continue. He eliminated the continual firing of my fingers and hands! He is amazing! He also treated me for energy, joint pain, pain in my heel. I first came to Dr. Lu because of pain in my left leg and in my lower back. I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk. He pressed around and pointed out that my right hip was also very tight. He put the needles along my spine and both hips and my leg. I was surprised to feel so much relief after the first session. After a few sessions the pain and tightness were almost gone. My work, like so many, can be very stressful. He's helped me with my diet, showed me some good stretches, and given me herbs that help balance my energy. This week we did a cupping session. Cupping, at least when he does it, is incredible! By the end of the session my body and mind were so relaxed; like I'd been on the best holiday. I have been to other acupuncturists before for my lower back and upper right leg pain but Dr. Yong Jon Lu was the one who was able to reduce the pain after only two treatments. I feel much better to the point where I no longer need to take pain pills. He is also treating me for my left shoulder pain which improved a bit after one treatment. The procedure is not without pain but "no pain, no gain". His technique works! Dr. Lu tries his best to help you, whatever it is that is bothering you. He is friendly and easy to talk you. He is reassuring and answers all your questions. Norm, the receptionist, is really nice and approachable. The rooms and equipment in his Walnut Office where I go to are clean. I suffered with acne for 20 years and have taken pretty much all of the antibiotics that a dermatologist will prescribed and also have taken Accutane twice. My cystic acne kept coming back. I was skeptic about Chinese Medicine at first, but decided to give it a try as I have nothing to loose. I saw Dr. Lu for weekly acupuncture and he prescribed the herbal tea for me. Within a month, I've noticed big difference. I would still breakout, but it's nothing like how I used to. The cysts would heal faster. I have taken the herbal supplements for about 4 months now, and my acne has definitely improved I would say about 90%. I hope more people will give Chinese Medicine a try, because for me, it worked a lot better than Western Medicine. read more

I was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy 2013 the Neurosurgeon from Kaiser told me that i might need to have a surgery 5 years from2013 i got scared of the surgery so i told the Md that i want to try acupuncture and physical therapy instead. So i went to Dr.LU. I did a series of acupuncture to my neck shoulder and arm and sure enough it relieved the pain in my body. Now im back with Dr.LU because im in the same situation again. First day he saw me i was in so much pain but worse than before so again im doing the same treatment and believe or not the pain is less that before. I'm a Registered Nurse and I injured both of my arms. I have lateral epicondilytis and tear on my tendon on the right arm. I was supposed to have surgery on my right arm but Dr. Lu is very good. I didn't need any surgery because of him. I have a lot of problems going on with my body. He treated not only my arms, but also my shoulders and lower back. Dr. Lu is amazing and the best acupuncturist I have ever met. I've been to other acupuncturists and nobody helped me as well as Dr. Lu. In here I highly recommend Dr Lu if you need to see a Chinese medicine practitioner. Three weeks ago the sudden sciatica made it difficult for me to turn over in bed, and can't walk. After a friend introduced the Doctor to the clinic, Dr Lu listened to my situation and patiently analyzed the course of my illness and give me the first acupuncture treatment. The situation was greatly improved that evening. After six acupuncture treatments to date, I have recovered and can walk a mostly normally. Dr. Lu is definitely the best Doctor I have ever known. He is very knowledgeable, kind, considerate, trustworthy, and dedicated to healing work. You go here not only for acupuncture but for whole healing. It is a very relaxing environment and needle does not hurt as I thought, and best thing is my lower back get so much better. Before my visit, I called to confirm the price, and they told me the first session would cost $75, and the following ones would be $65. However, when I arrived, I was told there was a "misunderstanding," and the actual price was $190 for the first session and $160 for the following ones. In the end, they offered me a "discount," so I agreed to pay $130 for the first session and $110 for the next ones. I initially thought it was just a misunderstanding. But after my fourth visit, I suddenly received an email informing me that my next session would cost $120. No one had warned me about the price increase beforehand--they just informed me after the fact! When I asked why I wasn't notified in advance, they simply told me the next session would now be $125. I want to emphasize that Dr. Denis is very kind and attentive, and I truly appreciate his care. That's why it's especially disappointing that the clinic operates this way and treats its clients like this. I feel really sorry about the situation. This is the second time they have changed their pricing without proper communication. I'm shocked by this approach to customer service. Be careful before booking an appointment here!
