To be clear, this is about Northshore, not the doctors at this location. The doctor was great! What absolutely drives me nuts is that I can't call the office directly...it always goes through their stupid central call center. Everything takes 10x longer because they take a message, if you're at work and miss the call back then you're doing the same thing again....such a nuisance. read more

If I could give this location a zero I would. This is the 3rd time I have been victim to this urgent care/lab. I am in a nurse practitioner program needing a tb lab test ran. The front desk said the tech was on lunch it would be 40 minutes. Ok that's fine. At 1 hour 40 minutes another front desk woman approached asking if I was waiting for labs I said yep I have been waiting for 2 hours. The other front desk person then tried to tell her I said I wasn't waiting. Yet I sat directly in her view for almost 2 hours so she knew I was. The lab tech then knows I am upset and says loudly for all to hear "I don't even know if I want to take her" they get me "checked in" again and I wait ten more minutes for the phlebotomy tech to come back from her cigarette before drawing my blood. 2 hours of pure BS. Do yourself the biggest favor and do not go to this location. I always try to go because it's closer but I just can't anymore. This will also be the first time I will be filing a complaint because I could never imagine treating patients in this manner. read more

Although the staff are very nice, the system here is terrible! There are no appointments for bloodwork. The facility opens at 8am and there are 12 people waiting in line at 7:45. This creates a 45 minute wait for a blood draw that takes 3 minutes. The environment is sterile and silent. There is only one tech on Saturday, which is ridiculous. This needs to change and I don't know how to make that happen. Sitting there just waiting for 45 minutes to an hour is unbearable, but most people are fasting and can't go later in the afternoon when it is probably less crowded. read more

The lady at the front desk is extremely rude. She was rude to me at check-in and rude to an elderly patient after me. As a medical assistant and patient, I'm disgusted. When I arrived, there were two lines, but when it was my turn, she asked a lady IN THE OTHER LINE who was first. I was before the lady that was before her and she was taken before me, so why single me out? An elderly, disabled man came in for an urgent care visit, and she made him feel stupid for not knowing where he was supposed to go. As I'm sitting here typing this she is still being rude to other patients. Do better Northshore, she's the front of your medical care and she is mean! Nobody wants to go to the doctor in the first place. A little compassion goes a long way. Nurse practitioner and triage were AMAZING AND DESERVE ALL OF THE STARS! read more

I'm a fan of NorthShore Medical Group but I have never been to an immediate care center. Before I went, I noticed that it had a one star rating here. Now I understand why. I walked in at 5pm and there were about 3 people waiting in the seating area. The place is pretty new and waiting area is rather large. I walked up to the front desk with my mom where no one was waiting. There was a woman behind the desk with her head down. After a few minutes I decided to take a seat with my mom since she can't stand for a long time. As soon as we sat down, the woman looked up and then asked if we needed help. We proceeded to go to the desk were she then proceeded to tell us that they are no longer seeing patients for the day. Some common sense questions.... Why couldn't they post a sign stating they are not seeing any more people? Why couldn't the lady behind the desk tell that when I walked up to the desk with my elderly mother who had a cane? Why did she make us wait for several minutes without acknowledgement? I would avoid this location and go to another one if possible. read more

My experience at the urgent care clinic on Touhy was not the best experience . The office was clean service was quick. Nurse practitioner was pleasant. But when it came down to getting a certain prescription filled was the issue. I was not told this when I was in office speaking with the nurse practitioner who examined me. I found out this detail when I went to pick up my prescription. The medication was noted on the discharge instructions. However, the pharmacist stated medication can't be filled. and found out I could not get it. So I called the location was on hold for 30 minutes. I went back to the clinic and was told my PCP have to prescribe this medication. Really I came to urgent care to receive urgent care. Also to be given the correct instructions. Total waste of my time and money. read more

I had to respond, considering the last 3 reviews weren't that great. I am sure that their reviews were honest, but I feel that when a good job is done it should be mentioned. I arrived there early and the receptionist and staff were very nice and followed covid 19 restrictions. I enjoy going there and really liked the internist that I saw for the first time. read more

I had an ingrown toenail and went to the Immediate Care on Woods Drive in Skokie. The doctor saw no problem and did nothing. Another time I went there for a sinus infection. The person seeing me informed me that I needed to make an appointment with my doctor and get put on antibiotics. The one in Niles examined me and put me on something for the sinus infection. I ended up going to the ER for my toe. They said it was an ingrown toenail and took care of it, thank goodness! I'm my opinion, the Immediate Care in Niles has it together a good deal more than the one on Woods Drive ( which I will never go to again). read more

I saw Dr. Prassana Nair of internal medicine at this location. The nurse who took my vitals and asked me questions was extremely thorough and friendly. I was told to wait for Dr. Nair. She came in and hardly said hello. Right off the bat it was a bit awkward but I can handle awkward. It quickly went south when she asked me if I was sick. I said no but that I was coughing to clear my throat because of my allergies. ( I have persistent stubborn allergies all year round). She then went and said sternly and rudely that " if I have congestion I can not be in the office to be treated" because it's a symptom of covid( which I tested for twice prior to make sure it was allergies) she was not sincere, did not once apologize, and when I told her I'm not sick and just came in for a physical she continued to repeat herself as if I hadn't heard her the first time. She said she could get me rescheduled. I told her I would do so myself. When I left the room and she was standing near the doorway she said " the front desk can reschedule" to which after the way I was treated I replied " no I won't be coming back". This was the most awful medical experience I've ever had. Hands down. I never write reviews, I never complain, but this was absurd. Extremely disappointed. What does she do with COPD patients who cough 24/7? Claim they have covid and send them home?!? I wish I could give negative stars. read more

We are in the midst of a pandemic crisis, Northshore Immediate Care in Niles has their patients, including little kids, infants, and elderly, waiting outside in the cold instead of taking appointments for arrival times and allowing patients to sit in their car until that time. The line has been forming since earlier than I arrived at 07:00 and they don't open until 09:00 even though their call center said they open at 08:30. Some people may just be getting screened that are asymptomatic, but others may be having symptoms, shortness of breath, fatigue, sharp headaches, muscle aches. Their call centers for appointments also have you waiting at times for "55 minutes" to pick up calls. Everyone expected a surge in Covid cases, they should have been prepared. Northshore doesn't seem interested in customer service and in convenience, again, it's a pandemic. Finally, I was up to the front desk, the front desk took my name and verified my insurance, asked me for my cell number, and told me to go wait in my car and that someone would call me. I was tested at Rush about 1 week ago for an upcoming procedure, big difference between Rush and Northshore, Rush cares about their patients and allows for appointment times and drive ups in car to test as well. My family and and will be switching to another health care group, absolutely no compassion at this place. read more

Went in for an early pregnancy test since my spouse and I are having trouble. The MA that took me in asked my reason for visit, I informed her that my last period was May 20 and I understand I am 3 days early. She gave me this look as if I was stupid and says "you need to wait one month after you miss your period." (Mind you, Ive worked in a ob/gyn office before) then she gives me this "sorry" look and didn't even give me options like a blood test to see if any hCg levels are high.... so I'm already uncomfortable and then she verified my pharmacy which I needed it changed. She couldn't find it in their system and kept telling me different addresses for Osco where I got frustrated and showed her on my phone which osco and she says it's not in the system how does this one sound? And pretty much forces me to put a bullshit pharmacy. Once finally done, I felt so uncomfortable and upset, I was told the doctor was running late. She gives me a cup and says if I need to pee, she can do a urine pregnancy test and puts it on the counter for me. You know what I did? I walked the hell out. This place has so compassion for people. I wish I can give it 0 stars. read more
