I just had my annual echo completed here recently. Everyone in the office once again impressed me with their professionalism and friendliness. I was greeted and check in immediately when entering. Then only said in the waiting room for minutes before being called back. The girl completing my test made me feel comfortable explaining everything she was doing along the way. Next week I'll return to go over my results with Dr Kumar and totally expect the same type of service. I highly recommend this practice. 2026-15 read more

First the doctors and nurses are great here.... The office personnel (excluding front receptionist) are a bunch of idiots. You ask me to make an appointment at some hospital and then I try to make said appointment and the hospital can't cause no material is available to complete (lack of contrast material) the appointment and then you remove us from the practice. Maybe talk to your hospital and find out what the problem is. So now I have to find another cardio doctor cause your office personnel are incompetent. read more

Be extremely careful dealing with this clinic. Long story short my mom saw Dr.Rana back in 2023. He is the most incompetent doctor I ever experienced for a whole year he did nothing for my mother. While my mom went back and fourth to emergency rooms he gaslighted my mom saying it was in her head. And saying her echocardiograms were normal. When they weren't. And he could have cared less about figuring out what was going on with my mom. After taking her to Cleveland clinic and the President of the hcm society. Who is the leading expert in Hypertropic cardiomyopathy. My mom actually had Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Which was confirmed by genetic testing and multiple echocardiograms which they weren't normal. Any patient dealing with Dr.Rana. I would be very careful trusting his judgment. Get second opinions. Given what he did to my mother several years ago. He is also very arrogant too. And he thinks he knows everything and he thinks he is better than everyone. Also in my opinion he gaslights women patients. Now I can't speak about the other doctors in the group. I have heard there good. But Dr.Rana really screwed my mom over. Also if you have an issue where Dr.Rana delays a diagnosis or gaslights you or doesn't provide you with the appropriate medical care. Please file a complaint with the NY state medical board . They told me they are taking all complaints seriously now. He shouldn't be bullying patients like he is doing. And he doesn't get to do whatever he wants like he Thinks he does. If you advocate for yourself and how your treatments are administered this is not the practice for you. The lead doctor, Dr. Chugh dismissed me as a patient because I disagreed with his treatment plan. I asked for an alternative treatment and I was dismissed as a patient. I found this doctor rigid, inflexible and controlling. I personally seen this doctor scolding an employee in front of a waiting room full of people and other employees. When I asked a nurse about it, I was told that's normal. If that is normal, it is understandable why I found employees seem cold, uncaring and unhappy. My advice, if you want to be a part of your treatment plan this is so not the practice for you. read more

The owner of this practice clearly has never been taught how to talk to current / potential patients. To see a Dr / Practice owner talk and respond to reviews like this is appalling. Let's all pray he retires soon because he's clearly done with it all. I was a patient before. Didn't love it and often felt like anything I said was overlooked but, I continued to visit as it was convenient. At this point one would think a successful, thriving physician would not have the time to do exactly what you are doing with me, and have done with every other individual who has had a negative comment to say about your practice. If you had been reading, you would have noticed I never once said I ever saw you. That would be because I never did. I don't know who you are other than an internet troll and sub-par physician. Any intelligent individual can see from all of your other comments here on Yelp that your personality is less than appealing, and that would naturally translate to bedside manner also being below acceptable standards. If you had read and were able to comprehend my original review you would have understood that I clearly stated I did not return phone calls, nor did I actually care that I was asked not to come back for non-compliance. If you were as educated as you should be, you would have understood that the basis of the complaint was how you treat people, that my referrals to your office have all been treated like crap. My personal favorite story recently is the elderly woman who had a fit at the front desk because she was being charged $100 for a no show fee. She kept insisting she did not miss her appointment. Was argued with relentlessly by the staff that she was wrong and they were right. Until magically someone stopped and actually looked and said "oh no, you're right we changed it on our end and neglected to call and tell you that we did that." And isn't it funny that if anyone takes the time to read the reviews on your practice this is a very common theme. I've got an arsenal of stories from very recent experiences with different people I know who are patients there and hate it for good reason. Let me guess Dennis, it's something they're doing wrong, they're non-compliant with something. Heaven forbid you took accountability for anything. Again, do better Dennis. Reading is fundamental. This place is a scam, I went there and paid my $30.00 copay for the visit. I had to wear a halter monitor for three days, returned the machine, and a month later got a bill for a $20.00 copay on a machine that did not have a copay, insurance paid $400.00 for me to use the machine, so now they try and scam an extra $20.00 for something that did not have a copay on it, if it did, I should have been told about this at the initial visit and would have paid it then, don't try and steal mor money from people for a fake copy. the $20.00 isn't the issue, the SCAM of trying to steal more money from people, Copays are a scam as it is. read more

My primary care physician recommended I see a cardiologist when I was having a problem. I got an appointment here 4 days earlier than one of their competitors could get me in. I arrived early for my first visit, and was taken in early. Dr Kumar identified the need for a procedure to be done quickly and made arrangements for this to be done the same day so I wouldn't have to wait over the weekend. The care I received here was prompt and efficient. I easily made an appointment for a follow-up visit. I highly recommend northtowns cardiology. read more

Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Chugh at Northtowns Cardiology. I was impressed with the office but mostly with Dr. Chugh. I recently had a double bypass and had many questions. He took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. I did not feel rushed at all and left the office feeling much better and more at ease. Dr. Chugh came in the room prepared and was aware of my history. He is a straight forward doctor and seems to have my best interest in mind. I appreciate that a lot. The office is also very efficient and I did not have to wait long at all. I am looking forward to a long and healthy relationship with Dr Chugh and Northtowns Cardiology. Was just released out of the hospital with a mild stroke and my blood pressure wasn't stable. I was advised to see my cardiologist right away. When I contacted my regular cardiologist I was told she was booking out to December (well that wasn't going to work!). So, I started calling around and Northtown Cardiology said that I could have an appointment in a week. That was great news. So, while I was giving her all my information she asked me what practice I was coming from. I told her Buffalo Medical Group and was then told that "we won't see any of their patients". She literally just told me that I was not welcomed there because they were having a feud with another practice??? Seriously!! I thought she was joking but said they took one of their doctors. So, the owner told them they were not allowed to treat any of Buffalo Medical Groups patients. I guess the owner picked up his ball and went home because he didn't want to play any more. Grow up! This is going to be reported: pick and choose...Really!! Go somewhere else. I'm glad I dodged the bullet after reading a lot of these reviews. read more

It should be widely known that this facility has a policy that patients are not allowed to seek second opinions. I was told that directly by a secretary there today, in person. Additionally, they'll turn off the patient's access to patient portal, even though it's against the law to do so. I will be making a complaint to HHS, as it is illegal to block a patient from accessing their health records! read more

i do not recommend this office! The schedulers and office manager both screamed at me ! They also say one thing and do another. Very nasty and difficult to deal with . I didnt stick around to actually see a doctor. I heard from friends that the practice tends to over prescribe., I also heard from friends that a few including Dr Chug are very harsh , abrasive and arrogant, they don't take the time to explain things and dent like to be asked questions!!! A friend of mine said she was actually afraid to ask a question!!! How sad is that! It seems that they just dent care! With this attitude why are they in this field?? It appears they got in the wrong line when jobs were being passed out!! I also got a bill that I did not owe !! What a travesty !! I dont like to leave negative reviews . I called to establish myself as a new patient of Dr. Amanda Ribbeck and was shocked to get an appointment the very next day. I was asked to show up at 1:30 pm for a 2 pm appointment, but I had absolutely no paperwork to fill out and after setting up my patient portal account, I didn't even get the opportunity to crack my book. I was called back! The PA was nice but didn't seem to care very much that I was concerned about even having to be there (I'm not even 40 years old). She was grateful; however, that I was well-prepared with test results from visits elsewhere earlier in the year. Dr. Ribbeck is very nice and took the time to explain everything to me, order a test tailored to my needs, and called me at 9:05 the following morning with my results! Luckily for me, my results show I have zero risk of blocked arteries (despite family history),and I don't have to go back to Northtowns Cardiology/Dr. Ribbeck for the foreseeable future. read more

Nice new location and Kathy the PA is personable and took the time to explain things thoroughly. I felt heard and cared for and got all of my questions answered. I didn't feel rushed at all. Bedside manner is excellent. My main doctor is Dr Horn who also is very knowledgeable and caring. Edited to add - the PA just called me herself to give me additional feedback - big points scored here - it's not often a PA or Doctor will contact you back via phone call without using a portal first. From losing my results twice, and getting a call to schedule a procedure when I already had the procedure done via them to misdiagnosis not only with me but my sister which they discharged her with a very serious condition that they have on her echocardiogram and now she's in the hospital dealing with it to the PA who is very condescending and wouldn't listen to my concerns of side effects I'm dealing with from medication that she says I have to take. Wasn't feeling the greatest over the past year, had several concerning symptoms and was referred to Northtown Cardiology to rule out any cardio issues. Northtown Cardiology is a busy, well oiled machine; from start to finish my registration, referral verification, check-in, reminder appointments, and the actual appointments were efficient, fast paced, and seamless which is much appreciated! The office seemed fully staffed and everyone was knowledgeable, on the same page, and up to speed on processes. I had several tests done in-office and also an outpatient 48 hr Holter monitor placed to go home with prior to me seeing the doctor. The Cardiac Sonographer was extremely sweet and personable. She made me feel at ease and was fast and efficient. It was nice to have someone like her at the bedside being that you're already a nervous wreck from the "not knowing" what's going on with your health. After all the tests and work-up performed, I saw the Cardiologist, Dr. Amanda Ribbeck and she was amazing! She explained all my results thoroughly...everything was unremarkable and normal, answered all my questions, was straight to the point, honest and really took the time to listen to me. Good news is I don't ever have to go back as she ruled out any cardio diagnosis. She told me I could call her anytime with any concerns and/or make an appointment if I ever need to or if symptoms come back or persist. Came to North Town cardiology because I had lightheaded and dizziness I Saw Dr. Rana and he sent me for a angiogram results showed 3 blocked arteries, after receiving rotoblading I had two stents put in and doing g great. As far as I am concerned Dr. Rana saved my life and now I have a new admiration of how you are treated at North Town Cardiology compared to any other place and I have been to a few and had no results like I received here. I am beyond furious. I have been a patient for around 6 years. It started when I was diagnosed with A-FIB and A-flutter. For 6 years i did all that was expected and everything has been perfect. I think the world of my doctor, and have referred 4 other patients to them. A few months ago, they said my doctor wasn't available and wanted me to have my appointment with the PA who back tracked everything. She was checking my BP with a machine and i had told her due to my size the machine never works and that everyone reads it high except for the doctor who uses a leg cuff and does manually. Im not sure she understood and wrote a script for a home bp monitor that i knew wouldn't work. I went to get it and sure enough, they did not have one anywhere near my size anywhere. That ruled out doing it at home. The PA also suggested a stress test which i have talked to my actually doctor about, and due to a severe brain injury i had in 2016, there are other options for me. So really besides chit chat my appointment with the pa wasnt beneficial and i knew i would need to meet with my actual doctor. Every week i was getting messages from someone who had a strong accent asking for bp readings which i 1st wouldnt have to give. 2nd the office hours are during my work hours and I cannot use the phone at work. So I figured when I could arrange a day off I'd schedule an appointment with my doctor. I then received a letter saying if I did not contact the office within 10 days I would be released as a patient. I called and got the answering service in another country who had previously screwed up a surgery appointment I had, and my doctor admitted she wasn't so crazy about, so I said I needed to speak to a manager in the office. He connected me to a vm and I left a long vm explaining the situation and that I was a bit upset about the letter and I was going to make an appointment with my doctor but I figured I'd call her first. 2 weeks I never heard back. I called today and spoke to a girl with the personality of a rock to say I never got a call back and to make an appointment with my doctor. She said I was discharged as a patient for not providing bp readings or calling them back. I said i did call and it went to the womans vm. She said the manager has been in and out of the office. Ok... so thats why i was calling. She said theres nothing they could do. Im discharged. I said due to a pa who doesnt know my situation. My doctor does. Id just like to make an appointment with my doctor to explain what has been happening. She said "we dont do appointments for people to complain. " monotone and heartless the entire time. I said not to complain. For me to have the apt with her i should have had and she cab manually check my bp and see the actual reading and speak about the option for the stress test due to my brain injury. She said no. I cant talk to.my doctor, cant make an appointment, and im no.longer a patient because i didnt call. Although i said i did call and left a message for the office manager who she said has been in and out of the office. I said... i am a heart patient and this is what im being put through because someone just out of college didnt understand things i had already spoken to.my doctor about and a manager whos been in and out of the office never called me back? I even left my email she could contact me at if she had trouble reaching me. I got nothing. She said im no longer a patient and cannot speak to the doctor, cannot make an appointment, and all she could do it note my account. At 53yr old i can say ive never been treated more unprofessionally by anyone in a medical office in my entire life. And i have gone through quite a bit. Im still absolutely shocked. I cant believe anyone as a heart patient would ever be treated so callusley and with zero compassion. So after 6 years as a patient, i am discharged because someone a few years older than my daughter, and actually talked about going to the same high school didnt understand what my doctor does or why i have only met with her all of those years, and to an office manager i was just a number despite referring others. This practice is outstanding from walking in the door until you check out. I hadn't been to see Dr. Chugh for 3 years and was able to get an appointment quickly. Dr. Chugh is exceptional, answered my questions in a way I could understand, he is best of the best. Highly recommend. This is a beautiful new building! Waiting room is large, which I'm thankful for because it was busy in there and I don't like to sit next to strangers. Reception staff was friendly and offered to call my doctor to see why they didn't send over the script they were supposed to send over. There are no televisions or refreshments in the waiting room but the wait wasnt too long so no worries. Once they bring you back to the room, the ladies in the room were very good at giving instructions and calming you down. I have to say, I was a nervous wreck but the appointment felt like a girls date where we talked and gossiped so it made everything feel less formal and nerve-wracking. I hope I don't have to come back but it was a pleasant experience. read more

I have been having problems with my heart rate and blood pressure. My general practicioner referred me to Dr. Bataglia, who ran two 24 hour monitor test. One was a 24 hour EKG and the other was 24 hour blood pressure. They gave very clear instructions on how to return the equipment and their office staff was helpful, organized and kind. The visits were very straight forward, the doctor answered all my questions and addressed my concerns with understanding and compassion. Even the nurses were great! They have on sight ecocardiogram available if needed and are very thorough with the exams. I highly recommend this place! Everyone is kind and compassionate. I felt heard and all my concerns and health issues were addressed very clearly. read more

I suffered from a "widow maker" level heart attack. Dr. Steven Horn and the amazing people at Northtowns Cardiology gave me my life back!! The cardiac trained nurses return my phone calls in less than an hour, answer my easy questions, and get back to me on the the tougher questions after discussion with Dr. Horn. Northtowns Cardiology is very responsive in refilling my prescriptions, coordinating with my pharmacy and reviewing my meds for the best results. The staff is very pleasant and friendly, easy to talk with and are always smiling! Finally, the doctors stay on schedule and respect your time with them. I've never been to a cardiologist before but my primary care office suggested Northtowns for an echocardiogram and holter monitor since I was having heart palpitations. My heart is healthy and happy, I'd like to report, BTW. This office was a good place to have my diagnostic testing done. Tons of seniors in here, of course. One was even talking about his 1935 Oldsmobile. Another was coughing her ass off, while another old lady offered her hard candies. Old people LOVE hard candies. Be a fly on the wall and listen in on conversations. It's entertaining. The waiting room was a good size and things moved along quickly. The echo tech was great. Getting the holter monitor on was a breeze. I even forgot my stupid prescription for echo & holter, and the secretary got in touch with my doctor's office ASAP to have it faxed over, thank goodness. So yeah, I'd come back if I need to but hopefully I won't need to until I'm old, like 95% of patients there that day. read more

These guys are awful! No care in the world for people's time.. I was told to arrive 15 min early for my 12:15 appointment.. at 12:45 they tell me my appointment was for 12:30 and to arrive at 12:15. That was a lie.. I waited over an hour for my appointment that was going to be 45 minutes long.. maybe I should send them a bill for my time! Ridiculous!!! read more
