I've had so many hang-ups about getting the decks cleaned because I have two little dogs and I worried they might be impacted by the chemicals. Nick answered my request and assured me that the chemicals that they use dissipate so they would not harm my dogs. He gave me an appointment for the following week. He and his colleague, Mark, even showed up 10 minutes early to set up. They used a high powered pressure wash system. They were very thorough. They got the decks done in a couple of hours. They weren't cheap but I paid for a high quality thorough job and that's what I got. They were courteous, hardworking, knowledgable, professional and helpful. I would hire them again. Some areas of my deck had darkened over time and they brightened them up. They reminded me to stain/ seal the decks afterwards. Here are some photos of the results. So, I went with a different company this year. The good news: A Fuller Service came when they said they would; their price ($200ish) for my house seemed reasonable; and their female receiptionist was very friendly. The bads news: First, they are impossible to get ahold of on the phone. I called during their business hours at least 8 times over the course of several weeks and never once got to talk to a real person despite pushing "1". Only leaving phone messages worked. Second, when I booked my appointment I was given a window of a couple of weeks for them to contact me with a final date when they would show up. When they did send me the date, it was in a text message and the message errorenously didn't list the date! I called them back to confirm but, you guessed it... phone message. Third, when they showed up the first time they forgot to do the gutters on my garage. That really bugs me, as I specifically mentioned it during booking and the receptionist told me that she left a note in the file. Upon seeing the garage roof gutters dirty, I called to complain but you guessed it... phone message. The did come back after to correct it. So, I dunno. If you don't mind leaving phone messages AND you are home when they arrive so you can point out things they will miss (despite telling them in advance to focus on) the process should be smooth. But I found it frustrating.

Mike's Roofing is the Best! After calling roofing company after roofing company and hearing only…read morethe most unaffordable prices imaginable to fix my roof's ridge vent and some fascia that was falling off, I finally found MIke! I could tell right away that his prices would be reasonable because when I asked him how much he'd charge for repairing the fascia alone, he didn't charge me the $1200 or $2000 minimum that other companies were charging - just to nail back in the fascia! Not only are his prices much, much better, but he's very prompt and great at communicating. He shows up when he says he will. He calls and keeps in contact if he's going to be a little bit later. On top of that, he works with his son, Nick, and their teamwork is impressive to watch! They work extremely well together, they have high standards, and their manner towards each other is so pleasant that it makes the entire experience a very positive one. It was quite a sight to see Mike working on the fascia from the ladder while Nick was simultaneously working on the same piece of fascia while lying on the edge of the roof and holding it in place. They were extremely careful, skillful, good-natured, professional, friendly, and serious about doing a great job. Their work on fixing the fascia was much better than a handyman team that fixed my front fascia a few years ago and left it bumpy and with nails in the front rather than on the underside. They replaced the awful ridge vent I had - 6 inches across - with one that was 14 inches across - a much more intelligent design for keeping wind from blowing rain right into the attic. They matched the color of the vent, as well, to match my green roof! I don't know why the former roofer sold me that awful ridge vent. How can a ridge vent like that keep humidity out of your attic if it's letting in rain? I can't say enough good things about Mike's Roofing. There was not one thing I didn't like about their work and their manner. They were even careful of the wild rabbits in our yard - careful not to drop anything on them. And MIke even cheerfully put up with the jungle of tall shrubs he had to climb through - and prickers - to access the fascia. It feels great to have a solid roof over our heads again and no more leaks coming through our ceiling! Thank you so very much, Mike and Nick!

Throughout the process, there were repeated no-shows and canceled appointments, usually with an excuse for why he couldn't make it. It became very frustrating because I couldn't rely on him to keep scheduled appointments. I paid for slate roof repairs, but the roof still leaks, and slates have continued to fall off after the work was completed. The issues I hired him to fix remain unresolved. After more than a year of trying to get the work corrected, I have decided to pursue the matter in small claims court. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Mike's Roofing Repair and Carpentry.

I hired Peak Power to soft wash my vinyl siding and clean my windows. I really regret it! They did…read morenot wash the top strip of vinyl on 2 sides of the house, they took paint off the trim of the garage door, the front porch, an attached shed and wood box. The soffit (overhang), which seems should have been included, was not. Took the front of an outdoor speaker off and left it on the ground. They forgot I hired for an unattached shed and when they cleaned it left the bottom 2 boards undone. When it comes to the window cleaning they did a good job minus the window I forgot to take the screen off on the first floor and didn't take the time to tell me so I could take it off. They left an outlet, 8 feet off the ground, covered with tape so when I finally noticed it, it took a ladder and goof off to remove. They left the cable box covered with a shower cap. (little thing, but part of the job.) When I first hired them I continuously received emails confirming, including one that offered $50.00 off a fence cleaning. I called to add the fence and get a price. After 2 more calls and days of waiting I had not heard back from them, so I called and cancelled the whole job. On Sat. Christopher called to apologize so I rehired him leaving off the fence because, according to him, the wood fence was a different procedure and they would have to come back. After the job was completed to their standard it was stated they had a solution that may take off the remaining built up grime still showing and that they would call with a price. To date no call. I tried to send Christopher pictures of the damage and incomplete siding cleaning but his phone number no longer worked. I then called the office, (you never get the same person, they ladies all work from home and seem to not communicate with the boys) to express my concerns, trying to give them an opportunity to correct the issues before I post. It's been almost 2 weeks and no responce. SO I don't know where all these high praise reviews come from BUT it is ill spent money by me. Additionally, after they left I took a little vinegar and water and a mild scrub brush the remaining layer of dirt came off. Though I still need to climb a ladder to finish all the areas of the house that they decided not to clean and, of course, now need to sand and repaint all the areas they took the paint off. I would think twice before hiring these young men!
