The apartment itself is nice. The one bedroom apartment can fit a king sized bed, two nightstands, two large dressers and a chair, so that itself is very nice. The maintenance men are extremely friendly and try to do their best. It's also very nice they allow up to two dogs up to 50 pounds each. The cons... The walls are super thin. If you're lucky, you'll have a neighbor who works the same hours as you and won't blast music at 2 am every night. I am not so lucky in this category. The sidewalk steps by my apartment are severely damaged and I've slipped quite a bit on them due to the ice. They do have a pet waste site in our courtyard which is great, but have not filled the waste disposal bags in over a month. Be careful where you step because chances are, you'll step in poo. Over all, 3 out of 5 stars. I won't be renewing my lease or recommending anyone here. read more

**Northville Woods Apartments -- 1 star** I moved out in February 2026 but Northville Woods never updated their system, so it continued to show rent due after my vacate date. When I called to resolve it, I was told "corporate takes time" and they were working on it. Instead of correcting a simple bookkeeping error, they took me to court -- but sent the court notice to my old address, the one I no longer lived at. I only discovered the court appearance after the date had already passed and am still in the process of formally getting the case dismissed. Even after the court action, they still did not correct the error. Months later, at the end of June, I received an official collections letter for $2,209.25 -- money I do not owe. When I called Northville Woods, no one would return my calls. I had to use a different phone number just to get someone to answer. When they finally picked up, their own system showed I have a zero balance -- yet they offered no resolution and took no action to retract the collections letter. I then sent a written letter with the collections letter attached. No reply. No action. This management cannot handle basic bookkeeping, refuses to correct their own errors, and does not respond when they cause serious harm to former tenants. This has cost me months of stress, time, and mental energy. Future residents should know: when you move out, they may not update their records -- and you could face court action and collections for debts you do not owe. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. have had to call the police on Emily the property manager for coming into my apartment multiple times with no reason and with nobody being there. Not fixing issues (big issues) like ant infestation, live wires sticking out , lights coming out of the wall and then not being fixed. The property manager is very immature and petty and you will not have a good experience living here. We paid all of our bills on time and never were a problem . Do not move in here! Way over priced and absolutely run down and down right disgusting!! We were moving from out of state so they did a video tour. We were told the unit they showed on the video tour would be our unit. When we arrived we were given a different unit. I'm telling ya, these apartments are nasty! Old carpet, dents and dings all over the walls, small bathroom with rocking toilet, weed smells coming in through the vents, tiny kitchen and spilled sticky crap in the cupboards! Ok, goods and bads. Good: apartment itself is pretty nice. We happened to get an apartment that had new appliances and wood vinyl floors. I'd say it's slightly above typical apartment as far as aesthetic. Bad: this place. It all started when I realized I was paying another apartments DTE and consumer's bill on top of my own. Turns out they gave us the wrong address when we set up our electric and gas. When I called the front desk she literally LAUGHED at me for paying multiple apartment's bills. Then there's the issue of our renters insurance. We paid it all up front, and they are still charging us for it monthly. Despite multiple phone calls, emails, and walking into their office they still haven't gotten it right. They've admitted they got it wrong, but we are still paying monthly for it?? Also still waiting for them to refund the money they wrongly charged us. I honestly don't know what their deal is but I'm getting fatigued by this battle. On top of these erroneous charges, they have a lot of hidden monthly fees to look out for. They nickel and dime you. We've had a lot of maintenance problems as well, although thankfully that staff is much better than the staff managing our rent/charges. I am honestly so fed up with this place. read more

I have lived in Northville Woods for almost a year and have had a positive experience. I moved from out of state and found online reviews to be helpful, so I thought it may be good to share for others who are relying on the internet to find an apartment. Often times reviews only give views of negative people, so this attempts to give very clear and honest information. The day that I moved in, the apartment was not in as clean of shape as I would have expected (dusty, hair on bathroom wall), and I had some issues with a doors not closing well, but they were quick to respond and fix the problem. The apartment is definitely dated with a cosmetic fix, but it looks well maintained. My air conditioning went out once, but they came to fix it and it was running again by the end of the day . Despite the few problems, I'd still consider this a great experience because all apartment complexes are going to have issues that can always be complained about, but many are way worse in customer service. Rachel and Bettina in the leasing office are super nice and responsive, and the maintenance team is always very pleasant and available as well. I am moving out only because my job moved, but if I were staying at the same job I would have definitely renewed my lease. I think it is slightly over priced for the units that don't have a washer and dryer, however it is unlikely you'll find an apartment with updates that has this many square feet for a better price given the location (the amount of closet space is going to be so hard to give up). It's extremely close to so many great places like downtown Northville (about a mile... I have walked there) or Haggerty with grocery stores, target, Costco, Trader Joe's, chipotle, etc. Many of my neighbors are families with a lot of kids, but they have never been loud at all. Other residents stay to themselves. I've never had any problems in the shared laundry facility and have always had a washer or two available when I've gone in. The pool is nice and kept clean in the summer. Overall, would recommend! read more

Well I've made up my mind that I am definitely moving out of here when my lease is up!! How scarey for this place to be over 65k in the hole and lose it to the bank!!!! How sad!! Someone's been pocketing all the rent! I guess when the bank came to kick everyone out of the office, the owner ( Roger ) was in tears and all he could say to all the employees is "I'm sorry"! HA! What about us...the tenants' Now we have to worry if our rent will go up since the new company is planning on doing large improvements like new windows and new parking lot! Even though this place needs that, I can't stay if the rent goes up to market value in Northville! This place should just be bulldozed and start over! I have to be worried about another fire or flood this winter, since I lost everything in the last fire, I shouldn't of stayed, but...stupid me! I think I have gone through it all here so...it is time to say adios! They are still using the SAME plumbing company that they used who started the fire when my I lost everything in Feb of 07!! Why would they do that'' Everything on this site is SO true except for the good reviews!! The only GOOD thing is the community and area! If you ask the police station our crime rate over here, IT IS HIGH!! If you ask them about Swan Harbour across the street or any others...their crime rate is 0%!!!! I could go on and on here....I'm kinda glad theres a new company and all the idiots are out of the office and maintence! So funny how they interviewed everyone to keep their job here and only kept ONE maintence guy!! That sais alot! I was laughing so hard! I have seen so many maintence guys rig stuff up when fixing things in my apartment its not even funny! Its such a shame that in our economy these days, people have to settle to live like this here!! Great experience living in Northville Woods. It's very reasonably priced for being in Northville. The location is great, just a 5 min drive down from everything anyone would need. The staff has been very friendly to both me and my dog any time they see us walking. I really enjoyed having a natural wood fireplace in my apartment. I never thought I'd have something like that! Even with the new construction going up in the nearby neighborhood, it's still very quiet. I enjoyed having unlimited access to their gym. The equipment and machines were all kept in great condition. Anytime I had even the smallest issue with my apartment I was able to schedule maintenance online to come out. The staff has always been very friendly and welcoming anytime my dog and I come into the office. I would have easily renewed my lease if I hadn't purchased a home. read more
