This place feels so friendly too me. I've been coming back to this gym for years. here goes everyone It has: indoor pool a hot tub sauna racket ball courts. upstairs circuit training and classes equipment for cardio equipment for lifting (recent new machines I have yet to explore... can't wait) Pretty much EVERYTHING. AND!! new yoga classes early in the morning and free child care for mom's who rise early but still want that special part of their day. REASONS TO JOIN!!!: FIRST: If you have any questions the staff is so friendly, this was my immediate draw to the gym. They will show you anything and have so much available for singles and families. You'll never be bored here. ALSO!!! They have great competitive rates. They have corporate discounts TOOOOO!!! They care! SECOND: I don't feel awkward here, I quite like walking in and saying hello. I'm always made to feel like "hey", "glad you're back!" Feeling comfortable lifting weights as a woman for the first time here has always made me feel like... "if I can do it"... you can do it. I never lifted weights in my life, and here somehow i found the courage watching similiar average fitness people trying really hard to figure it all out. This is difficult, but seeing the demographic around me, I felt confident everyone was secretly looking around and feeding off of the obvious intention of everyone. We were ALL trying to better ourselves and I just "felt" that vibe. It's priceless and I encourage everyone to come and join in. THIRD: It's very conveniently located near the NWA Mall... literally right down the street. Soooo, in the summer I can just pop over to lake fayetteville after a workout and enjoy a slow walk and get some outdoor nature time. FOURTH: pure selfishness... This gym could have been one of the good gyms here in Fayetteville if only they maintain it most especially the pool area. They have good instructors for their classes & the guy on the reception was nice too. Hopefully they will try to renovate and put TLC on it in the future and I'm hoping they will have more classes later on most especially aqua classes like aqua Zumba, aqua steps (or maybe even aqua bike!) after the pandemic. read more

Good old school gym. Best rate for a facility of this caliber in Fayetteville. Iron plates and flex machines, good equipment all around. Staff are super friendly and helpful with lifting etc. read more

This place looks like something out of an apocalypse, and I'll get to what I mean in a moment. When you walk in, the machine equipment all looks in fairly good shape, and there is plenty of spots in the back to do deadlifting/squats, but the free weights, benches, bars, and all other equipment is where the facade first starts to show itself. Walk upstairs to the locker room, and on your way there you're met with a graveyard of dusty old cardio equipment, with not a soul in sight. I shudder to think what was behind the 'tanning bed' doors that were closed. Upon arrival to the 'locker room' you're met with two sinks that are both so yellowed from loogie spit and so scraped down by what must have been a metal brush, you don't know whether to flee at the sight of it or try and muster the will to touch the equipment that these animals they let into this 'establishment'. Then we get to the apocalypse part......particularly in the pool and hot tub area... there was insulation draping down from the ceiling and a big pile of it off to one side like someone had swept it up and forgot about it or couldn't care less as long as it's out of a direct walking path. The only difference between the bottom of a creek and the bottom of the pool was the metric tons of chlorine they must use to somehow keep the water blue. The hot tub is nonfunctional and sits with water that's been there for I don't even want to think about how long. The sauna itself looked old but not too shabby, but even that experience was ruined by the water bottles littering the floor and benches of the room. I've never left a review of an establishment before, but as someone who just relocated to Arkansas, this was not a good first impression, and was by far the WORST excuse for a gym I've ever seen. Facility is showing its age, especially in the pool area BUT the staff is very friendly, there is a very good selection of weights and machines, and really that's what matters. Also yoga and Zumba classes are included with membership and it's only $5 to bring a guest. Overall I'm very happy at Northwest Athletic club. read more

Poor customer service from the owner. I called to ask a question and he raised his voice and was very unprofessional. Go somewhere else that knows how to treat their paying customers. read more
