They are relatively uncommon in our area so that's not surprising. So we met Jim Gowin at the house and he did an assessment and gave us an estimate and we set a date to do that actual treatment. The house is vacant at the moment so we had to make plans to come from out of town. Jim showed up on time (I was actually late and that was not a problem for him) and he took care of the problem. He was professional and reasonable and I also appreciate that he is a small operation, not one of those big impersonal outfits and you don't know who is going to do the actual work. Our house was only…read moreabout 10 years old, but the original builders didn't properly insulate that area and the plastic sheeting they laid down on the floor was dark, dirty, not sealed, and didn't even cover the entire dirt crawlspace floor. Two guys from CrawlPros tore out all the old insulation, old plastic 'vapor barrier,' and other construction mess, and then they re-did all the insulation and put down a new white/clean vapor barrier that covered then entire floor...they were super fast and very clean...it looks like a nice professional job down there now!
