There's a specific ten minute window for drop offs in the morning, and the after school program is from 3:30 to 4:30. They have a specific curriculum for the kids that they stick to. We personally love this, because it's definitely helped our daughter develop beyond what's expected of a two-year-old, and it's actually really nice that we see her as going to school, not going to daycare. A big thing that's been a massive plus: they spearhead toilet training from the get go. A couple months after our oldest daughter started at Sunny Hollow, our second daughter was born. Very little checks and balances at the school. Many working families left to scramble and find childcare because she simply decided you don't belong there any more. We were having trouble with "baby talk" while at the other place, and it completely has ended now, at this new place. They feed them breakfast, snack, lunch and snack. And lots of fruits and veggies are offered. They even have a taste test Thursday, where the kids have to taste a different food each week. The long term teachers are awesome and engaging. Our only regret is that we did not switch before we did.

I attended Trinity Lutheran Church on Easter Sunday as a guest. The music was beautiful and the gospel reading was moving. Although this service with modern music was not what I am used to, I felt comfortable...until the sermon. The pastor completely missed the mark. He began by asking, "How would you feel if someone killed your child?" He then proceeded call us all killers by saying things like, "You killed Him!" (Repeatedly and with conviction). This was all said Easter Sunday morning to a parish that included small children. Easter is a day of celebration and joy. It is a day that, as Christians, we celebrate a miracle that changed the world. It set us free. It is a time to be grateful for the life Christ gave us, not for the life human sin ended.
