Dr. Sheikh is so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. unfortunately, I have been turned away from appts. for being 10-15 minutes late after a 45 minute drive. Her staff is mainly not compassionate. They all howled with laughter when they rejected me from my appt. for being 10-15 minutes late. One would have thought it was a party to celebrate my misery. I'm an older person. I can't believe they would celebrate turning me away, but they did, as if it were a party. I love Dr. Sheikh, but her office staff seem like unkind people. She actually told me it was okay if I were a few minutes late. I've been turned away 4 times. I do have IBS which makes the challenge greater. She probably has lost nearly $1000 in income from the times I've been turned away. read more

I had an EEG done by these people. So far I have yet to speak to or see an actual doctor. I received a call saying there was a problem with my EEG and I have been trying to get an explanation of what the problem is over the past few days. They had the nerve to call me this afternoon to tell me the doctor was going to call, then no call. I do not trust these people at all. The work ethic is horrible. You have to schedule appointments 3 months out if you can get a hold of someone. read more

Horrible customer service. They treated me with contempt because I couldn't say my information fast enough and interrupted me. Often sounded super annoyed. The lady was also condescending. Tried to rush me and would say "okay okay, now what now and this?" They take medicare but it's only if medicare is your primary insurance. read more

I don't recommend them. You would rather die than get there. I made my mom's appointment in August for December 27 because there was nothing closer, we were willing to wait that long because the family doctor recommended this clinic as a good one. In mid November they sent me a text message without even calling me and said they would cancel my appointment and I needed to reschedule, but when I called they said the next available appointment was in March. You will die faster than they will help you. We have wasted over 3 months of wasted time. My mom's condition is getting worse and worse. Now we have to find another doctor because I don't want to come to a clinic where the doctors and staff have no respect for people. I was agreeable to reschedule the appointment, but somewhere closer to that date, but not in 4 months. If you value your life, I recommend looking for another clinic and doctors who are interested not only in your money, but also in you. read more

My mom is paralyzed and we have to go by ADA Pace services. Pace sent regular car on an error. I called Pace to request proper vehicle. They sent one but it took 45 minutes to come. I called office to keep them apprised of what was going on. The office mgr said we have a new policy we have to keep. If you are more than 15 minutes late ,the doctor will not see you. My mom was having a procedure. They would not bend. kept repeating, I f you are more than 15 minutes, she will not be seen. We would have been 26 min late and as a nurse, I felt this was horrible Patient care. These were undue circumstances. She would not let me talk with the doctor. Again, as a nurse, very poor patient care. I rescheduled apt and talked with doc. BTW, we sat there for 20 minutes past apt time. He felt terrible and profusely apologized. Said he would have seen us ,if he knew. I would highly recommend you go elsewhere. Somewhere, where the patient comes first. read more

Went to address on their website but couldn't find the offices. Searched all three floors but only found empty offices for this space which were under construction. Tried to phone the office but took 20 minutes to get someone on the phone. They informed me I was in the wrong building. The address given in the website was incorrect. Should be 1900 not l800, one more building down the road. When we found the right office they said "sorry, too late. You have to reschedule your appointment." When I explained what we just went through they said "oh, weren't you notified that we moved." I was never notified. Their website is still listing incorrect address. I will never go back to this establishment. read more

Worst place ever!!! Rude staff! Was told that I needed to change into shorts quickly or the doctor would walk in on me naked. Was also told the doctor doesn't knock! I was very nervous that I would not have privacy while I was naked! I will be reporting this office to the proper authorities. Don't waste your time here! read more

I was referred to Dr. Ali at Northwest Neurology by St. Alexis ER doctors basically due to its close location. I had a seizure and still couldn't get in for almost four weeks. At the first appointment, despite my feeling rushed, Dr. Ali himself was very kind, decent bedside manner. The administrative and logistics at the office were HORRIBLE! The nurse did not enter all of my current medications. At checkout, at the first visit, I had to ask for a business card and when the office rep found one, it had writing on it. She then looked some more and found another business card...this one also had writing on it and was clearly used. Alone, that's not a big deal; unfortunately there's more. I later realized I wasn't given any kind of prep sheet for the ordered MRI and EEG. So once the office opened again (which was the day of my tests appointment) I was told when we called the office asking more questions in lieu of having received MRI/EEG written instructions; that I was supposed to be completely asleep during the EEG test and offered absolutely no comfort or options when I told this new receptionist that I have claustrophobia upon learning they offer only a closed MRI. This receptionist was EXTREMELY RUDE acting as if I, the patient, was in the wrong by not having been given the full instructions. Needless to say, I canceled my appointment. Yes, the medical care is more important than the administrative and logistics, but if an office is this disorganized and rude, how can I trust the care I might have received there? read more

DO NOT GO THERE!!!! I decided to go to their Libertyville location in the fall. I met with the doctor, to determine, whether or not, a sleep study would advisable? She said no and referred me to a sleep physiologists. I provided the MD the Rx's I was on. I did my own research, and learned, that one of the RX was causing me not to fall asleep. They are lazy. I ended up with the Sleep Center in Libertyville and they discovered, that I do have sleep apena! read more

I have been a patient of Dr Khan for a few years now and he is still my favorite doctor ever. After a year of mysterious symptoms that would not go away that other doctors brushed off, Dr Khan took the time to diagnose me and treat me. He is very thorough and asks questions - and actually listens to the answer. He does what is best for the patient. I am also very involved in my own treatment, which I really like. I can't say enough good things about Dr Khan and Northwest Neurology. He went above and beyond and I am forever grateful. He gave me my life back. read more

I see Dr. Farbman since February 2017 and have been happy with my experience with him. The office staff, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. The receptionists, both in person and over the phone, are very rude. It makes it almost not even worth going to Northwest Neurology. I'd suggest some good customer service training and attitude adjustments all around. read more

Due to a billing error on Norhtwest Neurology's end, they have refused to make an appointment for an urgent matter. Apparently money means more to this practice than my husband's health. Even though THEY SCREWED UP. Never again. read more
