Not like one didn't expect it to be dirty, smelly, and -- eh -- trashy ;-) An observation from this visit & a previous one: if you're driving a rented vehicle, you are likely to be charged by net weight of the trash same as a business, not free like a county resident driving a personal vehicle. (A clue that the vehicle is rented is obvious markings like a U-Haul cargo van or out-of-state licence plates.) Still not bad; most I paid so far is $11. Also, DIY junk removal is a lot cheaper than the junk removal services. The catch is you got to provide your own time & muscle power.

MD recycle says they match competitors prices, that too is a mess, you have to call the competition and get their price and then call MD recycle and tell them what the competitor pays and then ask if they will match it, ugh, a time waster. Just take your stuff to Terrapin, they have an efficient operation and the same hours as the others. The staff there could not be more friendly. I love the paper trail that each transaction takes, they are honest.

The staff that i have dealt with were both friendly and quick. Prices are competitive with other metal recyclers in are area. They are also far more comprehensive with metal theft clearance then what i have seen from others in the area. Not only do they take your license plate, but they also scan your driver's license / photo ID. The only thing i don't like is that they use the atm thing to disperse cash to you. But otherwise, until i find a reason not to, i think i'll be taking my scrap metal and aluminum cans here for the foreseeable future.

I usually park in the rear, where plenty of parking awaits. Be mindful of the obscure entrance in the rear. You may need to dodge incoming traffic as you park. The washing machines are card (plastic), and the dryers are coin only. There are options if you arrive without cash. There's an ATM and bill changing station. You will be covered if you have a bank account with funds available. There are washing machines capable of loads ranging from 20lbs to 135lbs; the dryers have two roomy sizes you can choose. If you divide your load across a few, you'll never run out of options. You will never have a hard time finding a laundry cart. The staff does a great job lining the available carts along the outside wall. All in all, I have no complaints. I will return.

I mean come on the entrance store is been broke since eight months ago and we have the man reopen it and close it. It used to be automatic. You can't even invest the money to get that thing fixed all these prices of detergent and bags and everything. It's just ridiculous. I mean they have a Safeway right now store. I encourage everybody to go there and shop. Please don't buy your items here. I'll like the old owners this guy he cares about money.
