I asked two more times if that ment she was on duty now. I have called before and the on duty person went to lunch for over an hour! Miss Rude then says, " I told you three times I'm here 'till 2! I was told by…read morethe person in charge that it was a great deal for me since they would be closed Saturday and Monday for Labor Day and I would be only charged for a 1 one day rental if I had it back before the gates closed at 4:30 pm on Tuesday 9/2/25. I returned the equipment at 2:08 pm on Tuesday and upon checkout I was told the equipment was due back at 8:30 am on Tuesday, and I was charged nearly a full extra day, $306.16. If I had been told it was due back at 8:30 am I would have had it back on time. UPDATE: After posting the one star review, I noticed I had a 10 am voicemail from the person in charge that I spoke to at Lindsey inquiring about the return of the equipment. However, I still know what I was told. I should have known to get it in writing, it would have taken five seconds for me to have him write the deadline with the date and time of return and initial it. The people that worked there and assisted with loading and unloading were very helpful and friendly and other than the issue with the return time, the person in charge was also friendly.

It required tremendous effort just to get the straps on part of the way. (With a crow bar) Budget was aware of the vehicle and model I was hauling, you would think they would provide straps that fit properly. Moving is already a stressful venture and Budget made it even more stressful.

We made a reservation online, received a confirmation the day before and had everything all set and packed up for our trip. We arrived and were thrown off by the horribly ugly motel location. Run down crackhead prostitutes wouldnt go near this place. And don't get me started on the smell. We locate the filthy office and find that there was no one was there working! In the middle of the day! There were other customers there who had been waiting for over half an hour. We called and called and when someone finally answered the business phone, the scumbag says he would arrive in 20 minutes. Unbelievably unprofessional, but it gets worse... The imbecile arrived says that he has no truck for us! even though we reserved online and got a confirmation! Mind you, this is after we drove over an hour to get there and I had just returned my car rental so we had no car, and no where to go. Apparently Budget took too many reservations and didnt have enough vehicles yet we could see 2 trucks on the property that were the same as the one we reseved which the attendant said were reserved to someone else and we were simply not priority. Unacceptable!!! There was no apology, no compensation was offered, no solution, just a "now get out we are closed". I was livid. I mean I was madder than a midget with a yo-yo! We reached out to Budget corporate customer service who wanted to help but the coward wouldn't talk to her, and refused to pick up the phone, then he just started ignoring me. On the day of my move, I got a flat tire on the way to pick up the truck, which is shitty enough in and of itself. Like a decent human being, I tried calling the location to let them know I wouldn't be there to pick up my truck at the time indicated on my reservation. My mom and I called 30+ times and NONE of the calls were answered and there was no option to leave a message. I tried calling the main Budget Truck line and all they could do was transfer my call to the location, which was useless. Finally, about an hour after I was supposed to pick up the truck the location called me. I told them I would be there around 1pm and the guy said as long as I was there by 2:30 it would be fine. However, they didn't have a 12ft truck available, so I would be getting a 16ft truck--not ideal, but okay. We showed up to the location at 12:45 and lo and behold, they're closed until 2:15. There was a sign that said "if you don't want to wait, call 573-639-9100," so we called...repeatedly. I left a voicemail and got two hang up calls, but no one actually spoke. Eventually we texted this number and got a response saying that we had "agreed" we'd meet at 2:30, which is absolutely NOT how our conversation had gone. We wrote back and said that wasn't what we had agreed to and that we needed someone there ASAP, and we didn't hear back. Soooo, we called around to a couple UHaul places and ended up renting a UHaul truck. BUT, the story doesn't end there! At 2:07 (about 45min after we texted to tell him we were leaving to get a UHaul truck) the guy calls to tell us he's headed back and can meet us. We proceed to tell him we already rented a UHaul truck and he yells at us! Despite saying he has other customers he can rent the truck to, he proceeds to call us a couple more times after we hang up on him. Overall, it was a horrible experience and a very unprofessional business owner. I cannot caution strongly enough against renting from this place.
