Called about 2 sling shots they had for sale. on 1-30-26. not there yet. called back on 1'31-26 not there yet. called back on the 2-7-26 not there yet. called back on the 1-12-26 not there yet.. called back and got hold of the sales mgr. on bike # 2611713-the other one 2611717. how can you advertise something for when they are not there! all of sudden there are there. I told him we would be there Friday. the gray bike was so dirty could see it had it had a sign No keys. The red bike was not red it was black. paint as junk . both bikes had been there a long time. would not go back. drove 120 miles one way. read more

It makes me sad to report that I had a very bad experience with Head Motor Company and found them to be downright dishonest. They offered me 10% off parts if I paid for them in advance of them installing cams, exhaust and tuning on my 22 Roadmaster. I paid in good faith and 5 days later they contacted me saying they forgot to include exhaust slip-ons which would be an additional $1,800. They came down to $1,400 and gave me run-around when I said that was a deal breaker. I ended up having to dispute the credit card charge. The most disappointing part was that I literally called 8 times because I had questions about what was included. Nobody would take the time to speak with me and explain what was included or not included because they were "busy with customers." The proposal was not itemized and was very vague. The total for "discounted" parts and labor including the slip-ons was going to be $5,100. We called Lloyd'z Garage in Minnesota where the parts were being ordered from and they will do the parts and labor for $3,800. This is a no-brainer. read more

They took a deposit from me the 1st time and sold the motorcycle to someone else. Then asked me to put a deposit down on an incoming unit and then raised the price another $500 right before I drove 2 hours to pick it up. That was the owners idea. read more

We visited on Tuesday, December 9th I'm pretty sure we arrived between 4:30/4:45, I mention that for a reason, when you goggle your location it states closing is at 6 pm. We went inside, my husband & daughter used the restrooms, which are clear back in the back of the store, not one person addressed either of them with a "welcome" of any kind, same went for me as I meandered around the store as I waited. (passing several associates, more than once) We all three walked out the front door, even being cut off from a young associate male who didn't even try to look back to keep the door open for us. We walked the entire parking lot searching for what we had come by to see. As we walked back to her our car to leave we were being passed by associates (including a man dressed as Santa) driving the motorcycles inside for the night, no waive, no nothing. No one addressed us until I was getting into the passenger side of our car and a gentleman came over and asked if we had been helped??? I told him no sir, no one could even welcome us to your establishment, not alone ask if or what we might be looking for. (we spent at least 30 minutes there, this didn't happen in 5 minutes as you might be thinking) I did mention to him about closing time and he said no, we don't close until 6 pm so there was plenty of time for them to at least point us in the right direction and again just simply say if you need anything just let us know if we can help or assist you. I told the gentleman who came to our car, that this is poor customer service and it's ashame this happened as when the time comes for us to buy we would not be coming back to do it there. We also told him not being from Columbia, they are probably one of the closest dealerships near us but even with that being said we would go out of our way to go somewhere else to buy. I'd like to think that no matter what you look like and what you drive wouldn't make a difference to want to help. My husband drives a high end Ford Expedition, it was dirty from the crud on the highways, as he had just traveled north the day before with messy weather, LOL. read more

During the car purchase, the saleswoman told me three different times (once in front of the Sales Manager) that all map updates for the Kia Optima I was purchasing were free for as long as I owned the vehicle. Imagine my surprise, when I started receiving emails 2 years later telling me it was time to update my maps ... for $150. I sent emails to Steve Head with no response, then to the Business Development Manager, who responded but didn't help and followed up with two unanswered phone calls. I finally stopped by the service department and was told that the saleswoman lied to me and they would not be supplying any free updates. The Service Manager did offer to do the upgrade at cost - $100 instead of $150. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From November 2012 - After doing a great deal of research over about 9 months, I had the list of new cars I wanted to check out down to half a dozen. 2 of those were Kia; Soul and Optima. I also had Subaru Outback, Dodge Avenger and Mazda 626 and 323. My first time by, the salesman was quick to help. Answered my questions, got the keys for the two cars I wanted to look at and I was on my way in a few minutes, scratching the Soul off my list, but putting the Optima at the top. A month or so later, when I was ready to test drive and make a decision from the final three (Optima, Outback, 626), I stopped at Head Motor Company first. A friendly lady named Beth showed up right away. I explained what I was doing and in a few moments she had the keys to the car I was looking at along with a dealer plate for a test drive in an Optima. The car was nice, but I wanted to drive the other two and anything else that caught my eye, so we headed out. We spent the rest of the day looking at and driving the other vehicles on my list. It came down to the Optima and the Outback. I had driven and looked at so many cars, I decided to go back for one more drive of the Optima. Beth smiled, tossed me the keys and ushered me to the car, telling me to be back before closing time. I thought about the purchase for another few days. In the meantime, the other salesman I met were bugging me. Some several times a day. After making my decision on the Optima, I stopped by to discuss final arrangements with Beth. She smiled again, telling me she knew I would buy it all along. Whether she did or not, she really helped by not being a pest and by being friendly and efficient. The paperwork was done quickly and I was out the door in my new Optima. Follow-up and communication is very good and unobtrusive, only giving me the info I need. read more

I bought a 2006 Chevy Equinox in October 2014. This truck had all the bells and whistles, but was As Is. When I asked for an Extended Warranty, they said no. I've had the car for 8 months now and spent $1600 in a matter of two weeks. My air went out on this vehicle and the service department told me it was the A/C Compressor. The parts and labor on this was about $800. Once I got my car back from the shop, my air worked for 20 minutes. I then took my car back the next day and they said it was a Valve that get the air to circulate throughout the car. The cost for this with labor was $150. Long story short my air is still not working. Head Motor Company sold me a lemon and ripped me off! I'm so pissed that no one has fixed my car correctly yet. Don't get you car from here! I'm making sure that this gets out to everyone in Columbia! read more

I purchased my 2011 Kia from Head Motor in March of 2014. There was issues with the paint, tires, and the pin stripe. I asked to have the paint fixed, pin stripe removed, and tires replaced. The salesman and the manager both said the tires were fine. After 5,000 miles I was told the tires needed to be replaced. At the same time I found out that the 100,000 mile warranty was an extended warranty NOT the factory warranty I asked about. They said the vehicle was certified...I asked SPECIFICALLY if the certification was FACTORY or from them. I was told it was KIA certified. They did NOT tell me is was Head Motor Kia Certified! They refused to replace the tires and only offered me a joke of a deal for tire purchase, the "paint fix" was done, I swear, by a preschooler learning how to paint, AND they initially refused to take off the stuck on pin stripe. Finally when they did take the pin stripe off...the adhesive was left on and I was told it would "wash off!" Now I cannot fix a damn flat tire on the side of the road because I do not have the key for the locking lug nut! DO NOT BUY from them! If I could give them Zero stars I would! I do a lot of driving and have had to deal with their "certified tires" being certifiably bad! Told me they were 7/32 to 8/32 all the way around when they were borderline 4/32 & 5/32 all the way around, then it takes three trips to get the paint issue addressed and it STILL is not fixed, and finally got the pin stripe off! NEVER will give them the time of day again. Oh add on to that, the poor kid who bought my trade-in had to be told by my friends how to maintenance the car because the sales man did not pay attention when I explained the add ons. For instance...the oil catch can that was Overflowing! These guys are just looking for a dollar...not looking out for their customers! read more

Stopped in for a "promotional event". We are in the market for a new car and thought we would see what they had. Before they even showed us any vehicles they took down our personal info incl soc, address and income. I had to ask them NOT to run my credit. It appears that this promo was only to get people in the door with no concern for the person, you are merely a CREDIT SCORE. Upon the salesperson showing us ONE vehicle they disappeared for 20 minutes and we had to find them! Clearly they were unorganized for this promo and unprepared for the influx of customers. Bottom line : TYPICAL USED CAR SALESMAN! Go here if you want to be jerked around. read more

This was by far the best dealership experience I've had buying a new bike. Everyone was helpful without being pushy. I was shopping around for a bit between a Victory Highball and Indian Chief Dark Horse. After coming and talking to Steve and later Shawn, I decided on the Dark Horse. We were able to make a grest deal that I felt was mutually beneficial without too much negotiating. They were able to get me a better rate than my bank and didn't shotgun out my credit app like a lot of dealers do. Shawn was awesome dealing with my complicated parts order, adjusting things around so I could get the most out of the incentives. Stuart was great at explaining everything about the terms of my financing. There were a couple of rad ladies that were super helpful and gave me some glasses, regrettably I didn't get their names (ladies thank you both for your help and friendly attitudes). Possibly best of all, they have a groovy little dog chilling at the place. I'm really excited to be a part of the Indian family now and will definitely do business with them again. read more
