The chairs we sat in were covered in towels, who knows if they were clean. My massage was just ok, My husband enjoyed his foot massage, he said actually "that was great" I was not keen on the rubber gloves and massage cream that kept drying up on my skin. Before leaving my house, I carefully counted my cash and brought the exact amount needed for the massage. When I handed him the money, he did not count it in front of me. A few seconds later, he came back and claimed that I was $10 short. I am certain I gave the exact amount, so I believe I was unfairly charged an extra $10. The situation felt dishonest and very upsetting. In my opinion, he handled the payment in an unprofessional way, and I felt as though I had been taken advantage of. Guys be very careful when paying cash make sure to count in front of them before leaving the counter. On the other hand, the female receptionist I spoke with was kind, polite, and helpful. At this point I have to admit that I'm getting a little confused about which one is which as they are all starting to look very similar. To add to the confusion, some of the staff move around so if you find someone you would like to use again, you need to ask for their card and contact. They sometimes work at one spa, and then move to a different one in the area so you need to ask for their availably and not assume anything. As well, their business cards may be from another spa, and not the one you were in. And since their technique and training vary widely, it helps to know what you're in for. The reflexology was done in the massage room, which wasn't quite as good since she skipped the soaking in hot water part, which is good in that there's more time for massage, but bad in that the soaking seems to help relax your feet and feels great! Ask about the soaking when you put in your order as you can choose to have the feet first, or vice versa. And ask if they include soaking in the procedure. Nice spot in the north strip of Chinatown!

I think the best way to describe how Manuela treats you is she listens with her hands - she never just goes through the motions or just sticks to a checklist. While she asks you at the start where the problematic areas are, she is also always hyper-aware as she goes through the treatment on areas you never thought needed a bit more work. We both have coverage through benefit plans and paid a $25 premium for an RMT massage. King Thai Massage did not mention that they would not be covered by SunLife and when my husband put the claim in through later that night it was rejected as King Thai Massage is a delisted provider. I am now out $60 on something I assumed would be 100% covered. I requested some accommodation by just refunding me the $25 RMT premium and the location refused. Needless to say I will never go back and I hope to warn others ahead of time as well.
