Had a great experience at this urgent care. Making an appointment was easy online. Checkin process was straightforward and the gentleman at the front desk was helpful and friendly. The nurse Beth was super sweet! And finally the PA Miranda was fantastic! Super kind, curious, helpful, and explained everything beautifully. I was seen immediately at my appointment time (I think it may have actually been a few minutes early even). Came in at 7:05pm with my 10 month old baby who I suspected had pink eye. I quickly learned this was an "appointment only" immediate care. The doctor "Dr. Horne (?) did not have a 7:15 or 7:30 so the front desk coordinator went to ask if she would see me and the baby. She returned to tell me that I QUOTE "has paperwork from the day she would like to catch up on". Appalling. We sped 4 miles away to St Charles to WellNow who was open until 8. Over the phone most of the administrative intake was done on the ten minute drive over. When I arrived I was taken to the back we here my cut was cleaned, numbed and stitched up by an efficient crew. So even if you were dying do not come to this urgent care, first it is not urgent they make you wait forever, secondly the staff are so rude and very unprofessional. We walked in with my three years old nephew who hurt his face playing and he was bleeding all over the place yet we still have to sit for half an hour because that excuse was that we have one tech, so because they suck at managing that center we had to wait with a three-year-old who is frantic, crying and the scariest o all he was bleeding. Don't buy their posted hours for their lab; on the weekends, it appears to be optional whether or not they man their lab. I called today to find out if they were going to be in this weekend and they said they won't know until tomorrow, so you can't plan on going on a weekend. Unfortunately I did not receive good care at this clinic. I hurt my back badly I was in so much pain. I was prescribed Naproxen aka Advil. The physician did not have adequate bedside manner. Which made it difficult to advocate for myself. I was in the clinic for 4 hours. Had I known that I would have waited so long I would have gone to Northwestern Delnor hospital. I am blessed to have choices when receiving healthcare. My business goes to Northwestern. It's upsetting this immediate care visit. When northwestern gave me exceptional care throughout the years. I went here for a UTI and was charged for 2 visit levels, never saw a dr. and then was charged $750 for a urine culture!!!!! What!? When I called to ask about the doubel charge and request reason for high price for urine culture i was told it was "customary" and "typical" WHAT!!? Maybe for an ER, but not for an Urgent care! Unfortunately my husband had gone there few days before and before we received any billing. He had injured his hand and only needed to update his tetanus, but instead they forced him to get an x-ray. they stated they couldn't discharge without it. So, my bill was almost $1100 and his was almost $900! If you have no other option just go to an ER, it will be cheaper, but stay away from Northwestern and Delnor Cadence. Never again. I would never step foot in here again. This is very simple. Went to have staples removed for my elderly family member after an injury. The MD was quick to take them out and didn't put a band aid or clean it up even though if had started to bleed a little. She could have been a little kinder and gentler to be honest. Why one star? First, it is a production to bring my family member anywhere at all as they are wheel chair bound. The "doctor" left a staple in that was glaringly obvious. It wasn't noticed for a week until I went on my next visit. I happened to notice the area looked reddened and then noticed the staple had been left. I can't help but think if there had been more care taken by that doctor, I would have not had to make another trip to (a different) urgent care. Northwestern Medicine are a bunch of crooks. We were visiting Illinois from out of town when my son developed a very high fever. We took him to Convenient Care (which says right on their web site URGENT CARE) and it turns out he had strep throat. I get a bill for $845 for a 5 minute visit because they REFUSE to bill the visit to my insurance as an urgent care visit. When I called to ask them to resubmit, the rep even said to me, "You're calling about the urgent care visit, right?" How it is not fraud to market yourself as an urgent care center but refuse to bill as such is beyond me. They said, "but you signed a paper...". Seriously? FU. My son was in agony, you lie to get us in the door and then you inform me in legalese that I don't understand when I'm at my most vulnerable moment that it really ISN'T urgent care? No one even said anything to us. This may be legal but it is FRAUD. They know darn well they are tricking people. Shame on Northwestern Medicine. read more

We were treated terribly here. My daughter and I walked in at 7:28 PM (they close at 7:30). I get it, we arrived just as they were closing. But we rushed to get there before 7:30 as my daughter was in pain. Immediately, we were met with a horrible attitude. My daughter started to check in while I texted the person that was parking my car. Megan (the receptionist) abruptly interrupted my daughter and looked at me and asked if I had a problem. I was shocked. She has glaring at me and and openly mocking my expressions. I could NOT believe what I was seeing. I told her I was texting the person parking my car and I wasn't even looking at her. Megan then said that she can no longer deal with me and asked the other receptionist to check me in. The other woman could not assist, so Megan had to finish. My daughter finished checking herself in and Megan was EXTREMELY rude, disrespectful, and condescending. I have never been treated this way here. After check in was complete, I politely asked for her name. She said that I need to hold on. I waiting for a bit, and she continued typing. I asked a second time and she reluctantly told me. I was not going to argue with her. I was simply going to fill out the survey that I always receive after my visits. Interestingly, I never received a survey after this visit. If that wasn't enough, when my daughter and I sat down to wait for her name to be called, Megan was telling the other receptionist (she was not being quiet about it), that she "does not need to be treated that way. Who does this mom think she is walking in as we are closing". She was so openly rude and disrespectful. We were there because my daughter was ill. We did not want to be there as much as she didn't. Did online check in today for swelling in my leg and a rash. My check in was for 10. I arrived at 9:45 and they assisted me with checking in right away. That process took less then 5 min and I was placed in a room. Nurse came in. She was extremely friendly and knowledgable. I think her name was Nora. After that the doctor came in. Dr. Meredith assisted me. She was also very nice. My condition did require me to get an ultra sound at the hospital, but they still were really pleasant assisting me while I was here. I left and went to hospital. I got my ultra sound results right away the doctor had me wait at the facility and she called with my results. Smooth fast process. Read the fine print on the papers you are signing! I recently took my son there who was ill on a Friday evening. We were there for 5 minutes - they gave him a strep test and sent us home. A week later I received a bill of over 300 dollars. While I thought it was an urgent care (as the signs plastered all over the building and paperwork note) they bill you as if you had a hospital visit. Not very transparent or clear! I would not recommend this health care facility to anyone who wants to find out about their health issues or even feel important to them. I was new to the Bartlett area about two years ago and looking to find a good, knowledgeable Doctor who would treat me as a person and not another number... which seems more and more common now-a-days. I had come across Cadence Convenient Care, 820 Rt 59, and made an appointment. Dr. Fredricks was the Doctor I ended up seeing the first time that seemed more annoyed by my visits rather than trying to address my health concerns. After not wanting to continue to go there I gave it another shot and ended up seeing Dr. Parik the next couple times. She was nice however, did not really seem to look into my concerns deeper when I would come in for something. At this point I decided it would be in my best interest to switch over to a different primary doctor, still in the Cadence group. After doing so I found that this doctor also treated me as another number, I would hate to think that the Dr's in this group are not as efficient as they should be, but after seeing three of them in the Cadence network, all with the same attitude, I wasn't feeling so easy about it. When it comes to your health you know your body even better than the doctor and when you go to them for your concerns you would expect them to spend a little more time looking into the problem and evaluating what's going on, rather than sending an order or writing a prescription.. then never even following up with you. I decided to give Cadence Convenient Care in Bartlett a THIRD chance when I was having concerns about my breathing, which had been going on for a while but it was not severe enough that I needed to call 911. I wanted to get checked out because I was going under soon for an outpatient surgery. I called to set an appointment with Dr. Parik to talk to her about my issue and possibly do some sort of breathing test to rule some things out and make sure I was healthy enough to go under. The receptionist I made the appointment with was very nice and helpful. The first available appointment they had was in a week, which I was fine with, but she said she would transfer me to a nurse just to make sure since it involved my breathing that I didn't need to come in sooner. The nurse came on the line to talk about what I was experiencing, Margareta was her name. I explained to her what was going on, how long, how it was affecting me and my concerns about going under. After she heard all of that she said that she see's that I saw a different primary doctor recently and wanted to know why I was coming back to see Dr. Parik...WHAT?! I didn't know I was kicked off the team because I decided to go see a different primary doctor (to see which one suited me best) or even needed to give them an explanation. And I have a PPO so if I wanted to go see 20 different doctors I should not be questioned about wanting to come back to see a previous one, after all I'm paying for it. I was then told that I should go to the emergency room if I was experiencing issues with breathing, which I explained to her did not start over night and was something I was experiencing for months. I asked her why I could not come see the Dr and she again repeated herself saying I should go to the emergency room and then I could make an appointment with them also again throwing in that I saw a different doctor previously. Mind you this whole conversation was in a bitchy and rude tone by her. Instead of wanting to address my needs it felt more that because I had seen a different doctor they were giving me a hard time. Confused and basically dumbfounded by the way this was being handled, those little red flags went up. Never in my life have I EVER had a doctor/ nurse refuse to see me because I switched doctor's but decided to come back. I told her to cancel my appointment that was set for the next week since obviously feeling like I was being rejected, did not want to come into the office. Not to mention the way she was handling this was completely unprofessional and there was no way now I was putting my health in their hands. She ended up calling me back about 30 minutes later saying that she talked to Dr. Parik who also said I should go to the emergency room, which my response at this point was I will not ever be coming into this facility again nor will I will refer anyone I know to them. Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE! I'm still in shock that I was refused to be seen by a doctor because I went to a different doctor but decided to return to them. Very unprofessional. read more

My sister took my mom to this urgent care because she had a mild cough and chest pain. They took a chest x/ray and gave her a breathing treatment and said she may have the start of pneumonia. They gave her an antibiotic and inhaler and sent her home. My mom called me later on that night and say she was feeling worse so we sent her to the hospital (CDH). Turns out she had a blood clot in her lung and she could have died. Can't say enough about CDH Hospital and staff but if my mom didn't call me that night she'd probably be dead. Misleading crooks! First of all, when you are convenient care you charge according, not what you want! I went there after leaving the ER in Hoffman Estates with no service on Dec 27th. to be served here with the FLU going around. I was told since my insurance doesn't cover this my expected bill would be $200-$400. I would have to pay $200 to start services, I agreed. With that in mind, I proceeded to receive treatment with IV therapy, Labs. Fast forward to March 9th, received a bill for get ready...$2,359.25, with "adjustments" of $707.78. Called up billing to be told that it is correct and I would need to start a payment plan today or pay in full by March 22nd if I didn't want my account to go into collections. I told them I am self-pay and can't pay this. I stated to them that I would be writing a letter to NW and the BBB for the erroneous statement and charging a patient this grossly overcharged retail bill of $1651.47! Interestingly, they are charging like a hospital ER also, without "technically" being one and they claim they don't have to state that on the building or getting services. At the end of the day, you think your receiving general services like an IV..Infusion into a vein for therapy, prevention, or diagnosis up to 1 hour...$304. I did online checkin and choose this location because I could get in sooner. I was greeted upon entering and was started on paperwork as soon as I walked in. They had a room ready for me when the paperwork was finished. I ended up having strep throat and was concerned my young son had it as well. They checked my son in from the room so I could get him tested right away. Nurses were friendly and efficient. The urgent care facility in Bartlett (not the physician's group) has been speedy each of the 3 times I visited. They were careful and accurate in treating me, as I have a chronic health condition which can make regular illnesses more complicated. Personalized follow-up from a nurse after your visit and also, in my case, I had a bad reaction to a med, called in, and got a personal call back from the doctor. Pretty good for a walk-in clinic which is not a full ER. read more
