Party Time is the name on our receipt and it resulted in a great time. He was very helpful especially when explaining to me that the Caesar was a Bloody Mary type drink and not the salad I thought it was. That aside the Caesar and Monkey Suit, an Irish Stout paired well with my Mushroom soup. My spouse had the Mushroom soup and a Route 26, Brown Ale. We shared Beer Barbecue Sauce Chicken Wings that had carrot and celery sticks plus fries. The decor was great inside and the view of the Blue Mountain Ski Lift was unique. Food was overpriced but that was expected because it's blue mountain village. The food was average. The tex mex burger tasted burnt. The kids cheeseburger was actually quite good. Honestly, this may be the best restaurant at Blue. Every year I come I say that about another restaurant, but none of them are consistent and they never live up to expectations the year after. What I like about Northwinds is that it doesn't try to be any more than a pub - the menu is exactly as expected (heavy on burgers, wings, etc) and they have an extensive beer offering. The prices are good for Blue Mountain and the service is fast. I had the Spicy Dill Burger ($26) which was a generous portion and a huge mountain of fries. The burger was great but I really could not finish it. The fries were fantastic. I also ordered a Brewhouse caesar ($16) which was fantastic. I wasn't a huge fan of the cauliflower bites ($15) that I ordered, but that may have been because I was extremely full and could not stomach any more food. My friends' meals also looked good and I heard no complaints. Definitely will be back next year, if we can get a seat! It's always packed, and for good reason. read more

Considering this is a brewery, along with the fact the restaurants in Blue Mountain aren't the greatest, I didn't have high expectations coming here. I was gladly proven wrong. The building itself stands where the volleyball court used to be. The interior has the appearance of a slightly upscale sports bar. The brew kettles are on the second level and are visible from the dining area on the main floor. As for the exterior, you have a great view of the millpond. The service was attentive and friendly both times I was here. As for the food, I only had a few appetizers, but all 3 (pretzels, calamari, and jerk chicken steamed buns) were definitely above average. The drinks I tried were enjoyable, as well. Based on my first couple of impressions, I intend on having an actual meal the next time I go. P.S. There's another location in Collingwood that is apparently known for its Detroit-style pizza. Amazing pub that has a microbrewery right at the Blue Mountain Village. My family and I visited on a weekday for lunch and were greeted by a friendly staff. The interior of the pub was chalet style with TVs all around so it's nice to watch sports. The menu was available for QR code and on paper. The list of taps were on the wall as well. I got the smashburger which were two wagyu shaman patties with toppings dill pickle, lettuce and mayo. The servings were huge. Lots of fries and patties were extremely juicy. It was very busy when I got here but the waiter took down our number and texted us when the table would be ready. It was already late in the day so my friends and I decided to grab a few appetizers to share. We got the Tuna Lettuce Wrap ($19), Duck Fat Fries ($14), and Pretzels ($14). The sauce on the lettuce wrap were good as were the fries. The pretzel would've been better if it wasn't covered in all that salt!! IT WAS WAYYYY TOOOO SALTYYYYY. We had a terrific experience at Northwinds. I normally find the food at Blue Mountain to be very underwhelming, however, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the food here. We also had the skate flight and were able to sample 14 of their current beers. It was nice to try a variety of beers, but we will opt for smaller pints of each beer as there were quite a few we didn't enjoy. Nonetheless, Northwinds will be a safe go-to when we visit the Blue Mountain village. read more

I would like to score this as 4.5. Great experience. This place is relatively new to Blue. Beautiful wooden tables and large comfortable booths. Staff is welcoming and professional. Drinks are really good (they have Bourbon. (maybe Canadian). I'm a burger fan. This is in my top 3! Smashed is always my preference. We had a five year old who polished off his Bacon Cheeseburger. 1st time ever! Wings were also very good. Fries are exceptional ( fried in tallow). Too full to even ask about dessert. Came here on a late Monday night and luckily this restaurant was still open at 10pm compared to others. The kitchen were still open but they offer a night/bar menu which isn't bad. My sister and I got 2lb of wings ($16 per lb), what amazing is the wings comes with a side so we got fries and a garden salad. We got the garlic BBQ (so good) and something mustard sauce (it was good but it was kinda dry). I really loved the garden salad, the dressing was yummy and the pears made it fresh and sweet which balance out the fries and wings. The fries were good too. Was crispy and not dry. I got the beer flight 4x 5oz each and it was like $10 so worth it if you're new to their beer and want to try some of their flavours. I will definitely come back to try that full menu! read more

We came to Northwinds to have dinner because we wanted to have a nice dinner in Blue Mountain Village with the group. It was fairly busy, which was expected for a weekend in the village. They had a walk-in waitlist and the wait was about 45 minutes. You leave your phone number with them and they send you a text when your table is ready. It was a pretty smooth system and that allowed us to walk around the village while waiting so that we didn't have to stand and wait at the restaurant. Much appreciated waiting system that they have. The reason for the low 3-star rating is mainly because of our perceived cleanliness policy of the kitchen staff. They had an open kitchen concept so you could see what chefs/cooks making our meals, which was a cool concept. Outside of the kitchen, there is another staff member who is responsible for garnishing the dishes once they come out. We noticed that on multiple occasions, this staff member used his hands to brush/scratch his beard and proceeded to continue to garnish our food without washing his hands. We wished we hadn't seen that and looked away from the kitchen because we decided it was probably better to not know what happens in the kitchen and just enjoy our food once it comes out. It was a busy night so our food took a while to come out (about 30 minutes), but we understood and decided to overlook the slower food service. Our group got a large variety of foods: Fish and Chips, Calamari, Salmon Sandwich, Butter Chicken Grilled Cheese w/ Tomato Soup, and Fresh Pretzels in a Mason Jar. All of the food was amazing with the exception of the pretzels. I heavily recommend AGAINST getting the pretzels. The pretzels were hard after just sitting out for 1 minute and basically unchewable. The sauces it came with were good, but it's just not worth all that effort to eat something that feels like you're chewing on a jawbreaker candy. read more

If you're in the village this place is a good stop for pub like food. The Wagyu Burger was good but over cooked. The staff forgot to ask temp type and I equally forgot to mention it. In the past, I have enjoyed this restaurant's food but today's food was so bad I couldn't finish it! Two "wagyu" burgers with bacon and duck fat fries with two cans of beer at $66! The burgers had no flavour at all! I could taste the meat, the cheese had no flavour whatsoever, the fries were soggy and tasteless as well... Hard to fault this place. Definitely a gem to have in blue mountain. Reasonably priced for the area and filling meals. Perfect for a busy day of activities. Loved it. Would have it again. The warm Mediterranean salad on the side was great. Liked the combo of the Israeli couscous and quinoa. This was a great fit and the noise ( though normally Id say was too loud) was perfect for giving u some blending in in case the baby started to cry. If there is a negative option I would select that. I am not sure if it's post COVID, services are definitely going downhill. I arrived requesting a table of 3. A teenage-like girl took me to a seat with high table which is considered as inconvenient for my son. Right next to it there is a booth available so I asked if I can wait for it to be cleaned. She agreed. Then I went back to the front. Next thing you know they took someone in to the booth. So then I expressed the arrangement to another teenager like girl at the front. And her attitude was what really set off the fire. She basically gave me a cold shoulder and said "it is what it is , it's first come first serve, there is other table if you want." Then I asked could you please communicate with the other girl. Then she came out and both accused me that I left the restaurant. I really wish they have a security camera handy to verify my existence inside the restaurant before accusing me. The issue I have is their attitude. No apologies, cold shoulders, don't care. Then I asked for the manager. This is even funnier, he was right behind me which I stood in front of him at all time. All these young adults then gathered a total of 5 basically said I was over reacting. Omg with this kind of service I would never come back to this place and clearly they do not care about customers. How unprofessional! Food is mediocre overrated anyways. If I want a beer there are other choices. I booked my group in for lunch at Northwinds during a recent work conference. Although it's quite small inside, it wasn't cramped or uncomfortable. There's large screens on all of the walls showing extreme sports and the like, which was entertaining to watch while we waited for our food. I had the smash burger with duck fat fries. Damn! The burger was huge, and I might add that I wouldn't really call it a smash burger...the patties were a little thick, and it was missing the nice crust that I'm so craving. It was very similar to a Big Mac. I guess it could be like a fancy Big Mac, if you will. The fries though?? A different story altogether. Might have been the best fries that I've ever had in my life. Crispy, delightful, tasty, savoury, scrumptious, ...how many more words can describe how amazing these were? The tiny kitchen was able to serve my large group quickly, and I haven't even mentioned the numerous beers they have available (since I don't really drink beer!). They have snowboard/skateboard themed decor. A lot of their seating is bar stools, which can be pretty uncomfortable with a jacket and everything (considering blue mountains peak season is winter) FOOD: 4/5 Surprisingly for a place in BM (wouldn't be in Toronto), they have a menu of fusion bar foods. Stuff like wagyu beef burgers or Korean flavours for their chicken wings. Nothing hit it out of the park, but they were tasty enough and was probably still the best option in the area. I'm gonna say it, this is the best place to eat in blue mountain! This restaurant being in a town in the middle of nowhere, surprisingly had very good nachos. We tried the lobster mac and cheese, it was reasonably priced and had a good amount of lobster. Chicken wings are fried with Duck Fat and so are the fries, and as with anything fried with duck fat, it tastes really good. Service is a bit on the slow side and they do get pretty busy. read more
