Probably the worst experience one could have at a doctors office. Horrible office staff. Do not recommend this office what so ever!

You will be great if you talk cheerfully and don't ask her to explain why she is prescribing…read moresomething for you. Once you've crossed a line with her it is too late. I was asking her to help with a specific condition that she simply ignored. We talked about it at every single session and I guess she thought I was making it all up? One day I asked her about it and she looked down at her desk and gasped with her mouth open. It was too much for her? She then proceeded to ask me if I was still seeing my therapist. She told me she was going to talk to my therapist as if she was threatening and scolding me. If I had not been seeing her as my psychiatrist I would never have let her get by with that behavior. I would have stood my ground. I left her eventually and found a real psychiatrist who helped me in my first visit with him. I still cannot believe how unprofessional Dana Cochran Hoekstra was.

My daughter's PCP referred her to this office and told us they would be calling to set up the appt…read more About 4 wks later at her next PCP appt we let the dr know we hadn't heard from this office yet. PCP said they would contact the office and take care of this in hopes we would hear from them soon. After about a week I contacted the PCP office. They said they hadn't been able to talk to anybody yet so gave me this office phone number to contact them myself. Upon doing so, amazingly someone answered the phone, but told me "Jenny" schedules all appt's for psychiatry, so I was transferred. I was on hold and never got through to anybody and ended up having to hang up. Now, one week later, I'm attempting this again. I called this number 4 times back to back, requesting a different extension each time, hoping to talk to somebody. 2 lines say, "leave 1 message, we'll be sure to call back within 24 hours". one of those lines was the front desk who had to transfer me the first time I called. the other, I may call back and leave a message, (Maybe) hopefully it's the correct extension even though it wasn't Jenny's. But, I also tried the referral line and the office manager left a message saying she won't be taking any calls after Jan 30 - Feb 6 or 7th and would be returning calls from any msg's left, on the 7th or 8th. Today is the 30th... ugh... To be honest, this office must be w-a-y too busy to be available for my daughter if it's this difficult to even be able to talk to someone, let alone schedule an appt. I am very frustrated and wonder if I need to request a different referral from my daughter's PCP. I've been waiting to hear from this office, from the original referral from my daughter's PCP til now, approximately 4-6 weeks. This is very unacceptable. They are failing and falling short of being what they should be as a professional medical office. Good luck getting an appointment, let alone being able to talk to someone. MAYBE you'll get a call back.
