They loved shaky eggs and singing and listening to more books. We will come and max out our library cards... so I was glad when I could get library cards for the girls (max physical items you can take at once is 50, max online from Libby is 15 loans and 25 on hold). Now we don't have to worry about limits since we have 3 library cards. The girls love Crafternoon in the summer and the scavenger hunts around the kid's section in the library. We could spend all day here if I didn't have to work. The online selection is really good and allows us to save lots of money on books. We love the library and all our Cedar Bluff librarians!

Walking around I saw students studying, foreign people reading books or visiting, children reading with parents, those without home computers and smart phones using the free computers. The staff are super friendly. Books are available for a 3 week check out with an additional 3 weeks (2x) for a 9 week total borrow time. Call or go in to have your books renewed. The library offers children's activities, story time, and adult reading time. Books and media can be returned day and night at the outside drop box.

I wandered into the bookstore, next to the front doors. For $5, you can buy a bag of mystery books! I searched for two books for a friend, but didn't find them. They do have a very nice selection of children and adult books. Husband waited by the welcome sign while I wandered. He used their free internet to read his Apple News stories.

There is something…read moreinfinitely satisfying about walking through rows upon rows of books, even knowing you will never be able to read them all. My favorite time to come here is mid-semester, when no one is cramming and Hodges is relatively empty. At night is also the best, even into the witching hours of the evening, when you can see the Knoxville skyline from the 5th or 6th floor in complete silence. I've been visiting here for years and will not forget this place possibly ever, as it has been synonymous with my life in Knoxville during my early 20's. There is also a Starbuck on the second floor along with a Pod Market so if you're here for hours at a time like I am there are always options! There is a tech support station as well which always helps me out because I don't understand my computer sometimes, they're so helpful and never judgmental! When studying with my friends we love to stay on the second floor because we're able to talk more, the higher floor you're one the more quite it gets! Overall, Hodges has really helped me figure out my work ethic and I definitely recommend!

As there are over 10 locations in the Knox County area the Bearden one and the downtown one are my favorite locations. They have adequate space and you are allowed to be on the computer with Internet access for up to three hours per day, which is not bad at all. I've never experienced this one being over capacity or very crowded so there's always a good experience and enough books to check out here. If you want to just sit down with your child and read a few books while checking out some the maximum limits are very high and the service is great! Get back to the simple things in life.

Both OR and Knox library systems have beefed up their digital offerings due to COVID and my Kindle has gotten a workout. The Libby app allows you to request putting ebooks on hold and OR Library website allows you to place physical items on hold for easy pickup. There are racks of free books in the entry atrium, too. My kids love the child room, full of learning toys, a fort to climb, rocking chairs, crafts, and of course, books galore. There is a gorgeous view of the courtyard with a fountain and the great playground that lies beyond. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. They always have printables with puzzles, coloring pages, book lists, and schedules for events and story time. We love our library!

It was clean, had comfortable chairs, an outlet, and a whiteboard. The only thing that ruined this was the fact that it isn't enclosed at the top so the large study group next door would have been able to hear everything I said just like I was very aware that they're using all their smoothie and coffee trips and Kroger runs for their class. I ended up only writing my speech and filming in my car in the parking lot. It wasn't even private enough for me to be able to take a quiz or efficiently study. I thought being that it was so close to a college that it would have been a typical study room and be quiet with privacy.

This branch is on the small side but has a good variety of books and children's videos. They have an inter-library loan system which will deliver to your home library from another local branch, so that's convenient and can be done online. My favorite things about this library are the ereader free loans (I get a new book to read almost weekly) and the location. It is in the same lot as Founder's Park, which is amazing to explore. In our previous states/towns, we had tremendous programming for both kids and adults and kids sections with toys and areas for imagination play. I haven't seen much programming listed or any kids area (aside from books) at this branch, but I am crossing fingers that this is due to COVID and not the norm. I guess we'll see!

They had a children's section with a table and chairs as well as a teen section of books on the right when you walked in.
