They do plow when it snows, which is appreciated. However, when snow blows back into the driveway and accumulates to around three inches or more, they will not return to address it. Since they are being paid for a service, I believe they should be willing to come back if a customer is not satisfied with the condition of their driveway. Unfortunately, this lack of follow-up is not acceptable to me, and we will be canceling our service. Communication is also inconsistent, as calls are not always returned. Overall, it feels like customer concerns about leftover snow -- especially when it is too heavy to shovel -- are not taken seriously. read more

We have used this No Snow NY since 2021. In 2023, we had an incident where the team blew snow directly at our lamp post in our yard, destroying the fixture. This fixture was brand new, as we had just replaced all of our exterior lighting in 2021. We contacted John Rodick (owner) and he indicated that their policy was not to replace any damaged items. We were left to replace our $300+ light fixture at our own expense, in addition to paying full price for snow removal services. John only offered an assurance that he would speak to his team about not blowing snow directly at light fixtures in the future. Fast forward to 2025, and in February of this year, the incident happened again. Our light post was once again destroyed by the No Snow NY team (photos included in this post). We reached out again to John, asking for him to contact us. He had another employee contact us, rather than call us himself. In that conversation, I was informed that I needed to understand how difficult it is to control the machinery, and that he would need to speak with John about reimbursement. We did not hear from them for weeks, so I reached out again. We then received an email offering us $100, which is only a fraction of the cost to replace the lamp post between the parts and labor. We kindly responded and asked them to cover the full cost of the lamp post, which is over $300. We never received any response, and only were sent a $100 credit to our card on file. We tried to be civil and offer John Rodick and his team the opportunity to do the right thing after repeat damage to our property. Apparently saving the $200 or so was more important to them than their reputation. read more

Not reputable. Sent me an unsolicited quote for lawncare and snow removal. When I contacted them for service, Scott told me he needed to review the property in person. I'm like okay, you're not planning on honoring your quote. Therefore, I expected Scott to get back to me with higher price. He never called called back. So after I called after a week of not hearing from Scott and he gave a very bogus reason for not wanting to take on snow removal or mowing. My advice is if you get an unsolicited quote, throw it in the trash. Scott's word is not worth paper it's written on. read more

NOSNOW is not a reputable company. My neighbor and I have video of an employee of this company knocking over my basketball hoop that's out front of my house. When I called the owner to tell him and make a request for reimbursement, he said he does not cover anything that "breaks on your property" and he was rude. The answer to my review by John Roddick is still full of half truths and excuses. I was NOT behind paying his bill, and after I dismissed his services I paid the bill I had on hand. Yes threats to see me in court are still being made. We will of course, see him in court should the claim ever be filed--this threat is now over 3 months old. And he has laughably asserted that our "year-long" contract exists in his phone recording, not on paper. He was paid for the 3 times that he did manage to mow and we do not owe him anything more. And he was paid to shovel my 10 foot long sidewalk in the winter, and never touched it. Nearly all of my neighbors have fired him from snow shoveling for the same reason, a snowy and icy sidewalk. read more

I have not seen a single other landscaping company out working anywhere in Guilderland so I was seriously impressed. They left my lawn looking very tidy and clean! Everything Mr. Rodick just stated is a total fabrication. I would never give permission for him to take down a piece of my fence when I have an access fence that swings out for the entry of large equipment. He simply ignored my instructions or forgot them, at a huge cost to me to replace the fence. He is also lying regarding the outcome in small claims court. The case was dismissed simply because Mr. Rodick has an LLC based in Colonie, not Guilderland. I was not informed of this fact prior to our hearing date. The judge stated he didn't agree with the legilslation dictating this since he did the damage to my property in Guilderland and lives in Guilderland. He also stated in his decision that he found me and my son's testimony credible and that I was welcome to take the case to the small claims court in Colonie. I still have the option to do that. I found several other residents of Guilderland that had similar problems with Mr. Rodick. They never pursued a remedy, but wished me well. It's up to you if you wish to take a gamble on Mr. Rodick's services. It's your money, time and aggravation at risk. I'm just trying to save as many honest, hard-working residents from a dishonest scammer. read more

I read other reviews that are almost 100% like what my mother has gone through. This company does not offer a contract. But they do ask people to pay a year in advance and give a small discount. Thank God my mother decided to pay monthly. She would pay her monthly bills and they would still claim that she would owe money. She has kept all her canceled checks that they cashed to prove that she is paying them correctly. My mother wanted to show them personally but they asked her to email them to them. She doesn't own a computer and she's told them many of times. The owner refuses to meet with her but he keeps on threatening her if she doesn't send more money than you're going to take her to court. Which we welcome because we have every council check over the past few years. They also do not do a good job. They come no more than twice a month and never weed whack. They leave grass all over the driveway and sidewalks. We pay them to snow plow the driveway and shovel the walk. They do a poor job on the driveway and never shovel the walk. My mother and her 90s always has to go out and shovel her own walk. She is not a complainer and had to call them once during the winter to please come and remove the snow at the end of the driveway. The reason why she had a doctor's appointment otherwise she would wait. The owner said that he was up all night and he already came once and he doesn't want to come again. My mother asked again she nicely and reminded that she needed to get to this doctor's appointment. They reluctantly came. Any legit company that does not offer a contract but asks for a full Year's payment in advance is a company everybody should stay away from.
