Did a very wonderful job on my bridesmaid dress in a very reasonable amount of time! Noss' is pretty busy with lots of work and rightly so. She was able to get me in a day after I called with about a month to go before I left for the wedding. My dress was a Bill Levkoff dress. I needed the top taken in quite a bit and of course the bottom hemmed. She got my top fixed up while I took a two weeks to find some shoes for the wedding and for us both to get back from some personal travels. Once I had my shoes, she took the fitting for the hem, and finished that up within a day since I was on a tight schedule at that point. All of these changes came to a total of $52, which is way more reasonable than anything I could find for the big box stores. She was very flexible and professional. A couple of quick notes: she works out of her home and has a dog and cat. They keep her company while working so maybe keep that in mind if you have any allergies. It's not a spotless house (but who's is :) ), though her work is wonderful! She takes many precautions to keep any fur off the dresses and things so I wouldn't particularly worry about that. Karen Noss is amazing! Her work is flawless and her prices are very reasonable. She completely reconstructed a bridesmaid dress for me a couple years ago, and it fit like a glove afterward! She's also hemmed jeans and suit pants for me and my husband. Most recently, she did a beautiful job altering my wedding gown (I bought a store sample that was two sizes too big). Noss sewing provides timely, professional alterations. I've used her several times and her work is clean and lasts. Her prices are also very reasonable and if you have an emergency she will do her best to fit you in. She recently sized down a personalized jersey my husband received as a gift. The work was amazing - she went so far as to shorten each different colored stripe of fabric so that overall it looked as if it was always that size. Her work is so good that I couldn't even tell the jersey had been tailored until I tried it on - and it was easily 2 sizes smaller, just as requested.
