A long overdue review but that's because literally the day Nosso Larr Hauling came, my mom had a serious injury resulting in ER visit that night and eventual trauma surgery on her knee/shin. She's ended up with two other serious injuries, but I promised Nosso Larr Hauling a great review and so wanted to finally to take the time to do it. These guys are hard workers and honestly for the best price. There's only one other hauling company I use also, but these guys are definitely someone I'm contacting for quotes for any hauling job. I'm glad to see they're gotten more reviews since they hauled off our misc. junk. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The main owners dont speak English but they had a translator come with them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I have a feeling we probably could have gotten by without a translator since most of everything was pretty straightforward. And I just have a lot of respect for how much backbreaking work they do, they actually filled up the whole truck and spent hours doing the job. Honestly, even though we look like we have money because our house is pretty nice, we're actually fairly low income and don't have a lot of cash, so it's just nice not to have to do the work they did myself and that they aren't charging us like we're these AI millionaires. I mean they should seriously charge those people like 10x, but I'm glad that they're doing work for the "barely surviving" segment of the Bay Area. Nosso Larr Hauling was one of two services that quickly came back with a same-day pickup time and a very reasonable quote. Their prices were very competitive and they were quick to respond. Really appreciate them coming out the day of to pick up my items, and then scheduling with us to come back tomorrow for the second pick up (since we had more items for clean up than originally planned for). I reached out to this company for a tree removal estimate and was quoted $600. Based on that estimate, I coordinated with my landlord, adjusted my work schedule, and planned everything around their arrival. When the crew showed up and saw the tree in person, they suddenly increased the cost to nearly $4,000 -- almost seven times the original estimate. The tree did not grow overnight, and nothing about the job changed from when they gave the quote. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I even tried to work with them and offered an additional $400 to simply cut the tree down and leave the logs for me to dispose of, which matched the next best estimate I had already received. They still refused and walked away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]As a result, I lost a full day of work and now have to start the process all over again, including scheduling another company and coordinating with my landlord. This was a major inconvenience that could have been avoided if they had been upfront from the beginning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If their estimates are only rough guesses and could jump by thousands of dollars, they should clearly say that before scheduling someone and causing unnecessary stress and lost time. I posted an accurate description of the things I needed to have removed. This vendor responded and offered to do the job immediately and was the lowest bid. Clearly, a "bait and switch" operator. Because of my urgency, I agreed to his new figure. The worker was prompt, energetic, courteous and clearly doing the best he could and a credit to an otherwise questionable character as is his boss. If you use this guy, give him pictures before you accept his bid so that he can't use the same tactic as he did with me. read more
