Music and Arts had them on display at the location right by us (Bridgeton), and we special ordered the colors we wanted. The guy who helped us (Favian? maybe?) just made every part of our purchase wonderful -- like he was thanking us for our decision to take up music. He asked the kind of instruction we were going to use. When we told him YouTube, he complimented us again, and then shared that ukulele lessons are available at Music and Arts - who knew?!? They are super friendly and welcoming. We have two girls, ages 7 and 9. One is taking Guitar lessons and the other Drama, 30 minutes a session, one-on-one with their teachers. Both of their teachers are fabulous and both girls look forward to Saturdays just because of this. I really feel they are both learning a lot, have more confidence and enjoy having a creative outlet. It is unbelievable what art, music and self-expression can do for young children. I also wanted to mention that this place is probably half the price of what you would pay for other private lessons. We'd asked him to email music in advance, he advised that he had his necessary music on his iPod, but it didn't work (he claimed in a response to another review that our sound system wasn't working, but we'd been playing music from an iPod prior to and following his performance, and the music he ultimately mumbled over was played from this device). When he was able to perform, his speech was so slurred it was unintelligible. We ended up sending him home after one song. I'm amazed that this person has any positive reviews, and question the authenticity of them based on our experience.

For those that don't know, Bob Kuban's group had a few singles make the Billboard chart, but they will always be remembered for their big hit, "The Cheater". In fact, they are on the permanent exhibit of "One Hit Wonders" at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland. Lead singer Walter Scott may be long gone, but Kuban and his band can still provide many great times at any event. I saw them live at a couple occasions, and they were telling stories between songs (which I enjoy). They also perform many covers, and I have a couple of their CDs as well.
