The associates here are always pleasant and polite. On this visit there were about 5 people in 2 different lines. Someone who I believed to be a manager came from the back to help and get the line down. It was very refreshing to get that type of service. There cakes are always good and I like the different new flavors they tend to roll out. Some of my favorite have been discontinued which I'm sadden about. The place is always clean and it gives off a cool vibe when stepping inside. The employees are always nice and professional with no problem whatsoever. I like that you can get the Bundt cakes without the icing which can be too much for some customers. I just wish they could make the accommodations to have your cake with little icing since I'm tasting more of the icing and not the Bundt cake. read more

Since I received an email that the Key Lime flavor was back, I stopped by while in the area. I actually walked to the store after I finished eating at a nearby restaurant but parking doesn't appear to be a problem. This was my first visit to this location and I was promptly greeted once I entered the store. I have my fave flavors and Key Lime is at the top of the list. There are not enough words to explain how good this place is. It's a small spot, but it's kept clean with tasty treats. The staff is lovely! I highly advise asking what they recommend, as that's what I did for one of the cakes I got. This worked like a charm, and I was pleasantly surprised by what they offered. I recently had the opportunity to try one of the mini Bundt cakes, and WOWZA! Very impressed with the red elect cake that I picked. I loved the chocolate chips inside. This will not be a normal review. My wife and I are on the Keto Diet. We are having a very hard time during this Covid-19 situation. We go off our diet from time to time just to enjoy life and food. Today, we were off our diet. I ask my wife, what do you want for dinner. She said Cheese Burgers and Fries. I want to Publix and got the best ingredients. We go all out since this is a treat night. As I am shopping, desert is important. I found nothing I wanted. I kept on going to the Bunt cakes and passed. Then I said, "If you are going for a Bunt Cake, get the best". I got home, put the food away took a Sunday afternoon nap. When I woke up, I got in my car and drove 20 minutes to "Nothing Bundt Cakes". We always buy four little ones. We cut them into 1/4 and each have 1/4 of each flavor. Today we got Lemon, Pralines, Chocolate chip and Carrot Cake. I wish I could tell one one was better then another but I can't. Sadly, this is my first one star review. Here we go. I was in the area a few weeks ago, and decided to go through my list of "gotta try it" and there is Nothing but Bundt Cakes. Yeah Baby. I love some dessert and cake, oh yeah. Bundt cakes - Happy dance. So many choices. I sampled the red velvet but decided to go with lemon. Yes I love lemon everything, peach everything too, but that's another story. I placed my order and Jennifer the clerk reached under the counter and pulls out a cake already in the bag labeled lemon raspberry. Not from the display from under the counter, oh well, no biggie they're just organized, cool. I get to the car, and can barely wait to rip open that bag and taste some of that lemon raspberry bundt cake. Much to my surprise as I pull the cake out of the bag I feel it is cold, cold, the cake is cold. I'm thinking, is this not baked fresh every day! I just paid $7 for a cold, partially frozen cake. I look carefully at the container and noticed there's condensation all around the container, condensation! You know like something has been frozen and now it's thawing in the same container. I turn the container upside down and notice the cake was gooey on the bottom because it was wet. I grabbed this cake put it back in the bag, go back inside from the parking lot, explained to the clerk Jennifer why I would like a refund. Jennifer told me she would replace my cake with another one. I asked Jennifer if the all the cakes had been previously frozen and she told me No. That the cakes are baked fresh the same day and the hot cake is placed in it's container and that's probably what happened. I asked her why is the cake cold and she just kept telling me all the cakes are baked fresh the same day and she wasn't sure. It was 6:45pm on a Saturday. The manager comes over after Jennifer explains what happened. She didn't apologize, she just gave me my money back and I left the store. Well, I will not be back to this location of Nothing but Bundts in Birmingham. I was really disappointed in this experience and how this whole situation was handled especially because I'm sure Jennifer was not quite honest. It was very obvious that was not a "baked the same day cake". Oh wait, maybe it was frozen fresh and thawed the same day, oh yeah, NO! read more

If I could give zero stars of course I would. Visited the tore around 2pm on a Friday. Very light traffic in the store. I brought a friend in from out of town so she could experience the greatness that I've come to love from this store. Let me also add that I've never visited this location, only ones in Georgia and Louisiana. After looking over the menu and the flavors we decided we would build our own dozen of mini bundt cakes. We let a few people go ahead of us before we could finally decide on something. We got up to the register and proceeded to order a dozen and we were told we could only get four flavors. I asked if that was just at this location for the number of flavors per dozen and I'm assuming the owner, manager or someone in charge responded "yes that's here and my other location in Hoover". At this moment me and my friend took a step back and said we needed another moment to think about our order. I was still talking to my friend when I told her that was news to me because I've always created my own dozen. The same person who was about to take our order responded "oh heck no, not here". This response was confusing for two reasons. One, not sure how appropriate that response is for a customer having a conversation and two the tone was so rude and unpleasant that it took me a moment to decide if I even wanted to place an order. After considering the conversation given, I decided not to purchase anything and my friend purchased a personal cake for $4.27. When you walk in, they have a a tray of free samples. It's usually a different flavor every day. It was red velvet at my last visit. So delicious. Then, I got a white chocolate raspberry bundtlet. So yummy! I had to share some with my parents. My dad thought it was too sweet, but my mom loved it too. They offer different ways to drizzle your cakes, and have so many different sizes. So many different options to fit any craving that you or your fellow shoppers may be in the mood for. I love this place. They have a great selection of flavors, a great staff and an extremely clean place. I would drive across time for their products every day if there was a way to remove the ingredients that lead to gaining weight. I have to force myself to have self control because I love love their cakes. My son likes to surprise the women in his life with their favorite flavor cupcakes but my daughter in law and I both appreciate his thoughtfulness but can't eat them due to out waistlines. Wow. These are some seriously good cakes. So far I have only tried the strawberries and cream but one bite and I was hooked. They have regular size bundt cakes if you need one for a lot of people but they also have personal sized ones so you can get a variety to try. Even still, the personal cakes are so rich that half a cake was enough for me. The icing is of the cream cheese variety and very rich. I will be back for sure.
