Round here dogs get left cash in their owners wills, lots of it and they get edible Christmas cards that they share with their mad owners for supper. What they sell is pretty basic but it's extensive, baskets, treats, collars, toys and bowls. They also sell stupid things like suitcases for poodles and a Santa outfits for Labradors. People must buy them though right? It's probably those mad people again that eat Christmas cards. Round the corner they have another shop too that specializes in dog grooming and slightly ironically has a deli counter. All the food is natural and apparently delicious. Ask the mad people just how delicious it really is. The dogs just wag their tail. Course a lot of this is indulgent and frivolous but we love our animals here right and we wouldn't want to see them go without a superman outfit or a cap to keep the sun out their eyes would we?

When I said it wasn't normal, I've been told that many dogs feel uncomfortable for 4 days in the genital area. My dog has been crying for 5 days, licking and bleeding (despite creams, Elizabeth collar and etc). So the big question-is a normal groomer is supposed to do things like this? And not even to apologise. I am still shocked of this treatment after all these years of trust. Be very careful who grooms your dog in this place. Maria

She's not the easiest dog to walk - her recall leaves a bit to be desired and she mostly just wants to chase squirrels - but James has been very patient and enthusiastic with her, and great at keeping us updated on her progress. She is always delighted to be collected for her walks and comes back to us a tired and happy dog. The twitter and Facebook updates are great for seeing what all the dogs are getting up to, and for seeing who she's hanging out with. I have no trouble at all recommending Hyde Park Hounds. They are reliable, enthusiastic and fun and they go the extra mile with communication, all at a very competitive price.

This is the first time I have felt 100% confident and trusting of using a dog walker. Within two days - James stole Ruby's heart ! I can honestly recommend James professional and personal service, along with his natural passion love for dogs , very hIghly! . Hydepark hounds is exactly what our area and our local pouches need! Thank you James!

I find the staff to be very welcoming, to me and my dog, he certainly thinks so with all the attention and treats he receives! This in particular is import to me, as he has always had a lot of anxiety around going to the vets. The quality is high and a nice bright practice that has food and other pet necessities in the waiting food. There are areas to improve on, with the consult room being a bit dated, and it takes a while to buy anything, so don't pop in if you're in a rush. All round very good though.

My cat was given a minor tummy operation and was not sewn up properly, he had a major tummy infection and ballooned up like a football, he had to have a blood transfusion but had to wait over a week there because they did not keep blood donor records on their system and could not find a match! I went to visit my cat once in the maida vale branch and they told me he'd been taken to the hampstead branch overnight because they were short staffed... i never gave them permission or even knew he was moved every night- i demanded they left him be and didn't move him again. To make matters worse- when i went to hampstead to see him there were dog patients in the same room...bad considering it was a so-called cat only vet clinic at the time. My cat died a slow and painful death and they cancelled my £3000.00 bill because they understood that it was there mistake. My sister recently had her dog done there. He has since got an open flesh wound where his testicles were and it looks like it needs tucking in and sewing up, they said they could do so but she would have to pay a consultation fee...a bit of a joke considering they obviously did not preform the operation right the first time round! When i speak to local pet owners they have said it does not surprise them... PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS VET CLINIC!!!

If anything I like the veterinarians taking their time to look at each animal ensuring they haven't missed anything. This time I was late by 5 minutes to my scheduled appointment. They refused to see my cat, and told me they are rescheduling me on Monday (today is Thursday). I am appalled that they have rejected to see my cat, I am worried for him and it is their job to see if anything is wrong. I would understand if I was late by 20 minutes plus. This just shows me, this place is a business and the veterinarians don't really care for animals but actually care about income. I'm not sure whether my cat will be ok or not but if he does get better it's no help from them. Would leave 0 starts if possible

Some were super expensive and didn't provide after care and other clinics were just too far. Finally I found St Helens. I phoned them up and they were super polite, helpful and answered all my questions. The night before her operation they called me to see how the cat was and to remind me not to feed her that night . The price of the operation was around £200 but the service was incredible. I dropped off the cat at 9 am, she had her jabs done, deworming, her operation and they kept her there until she was fully awake and they were absolutely sure that there is no problem to send her home. They gave me special food -like special post operation food- pain killers, meds, protection collar, next day free check-up and another free checkup after 2 weeks. The place is very welcoming and big, big windows- loads of natural light, there is a small waiting area, a little shop area as well and just incredible people working there. Very professional.
