Seasonal cocktail: Old Fashioned Coconut washed Gospel Solera Rye, Broken Bean Coffee Liqueur, Crawley's Coconut, Bitters

Outstanding meal, one of the few we've had in recent memory that was excellent from start to finish. We had two seasonal cocktails, both delicious and well balanced, as well as a set of starters and one main course to split. Everything was brought quickly, presented impeccably, and tasted delicious. It is not inexpensive, but the quality of food and outstanding service made it seem worth it.

Lemon sour vodka - made to my HB's order for citrusy drink. A little sour but great to pair with the dishes

Great place for date night and a first night out in Sydney. Excellent service, delicious flavours and romantic ambience. Located in the hip Surry Hills neighbourhood, my husband and I ventured out for some light Mediterranean bites. As this was meant to be a quick meal, I felt a little under dressed compare to the other patrons, but the servers in no way made us felt out of place. The menu consists of starters, vegetarian and meat mains. Very good place for vegetarians. We tried the charcoal grilled eggplant and charcoal grilled octopus with harissa sauce. Our favourite of the night was definitely the eggplant ($22), it was very tender and went very well with the sauce as well. And as predicted by our server, we needed two orders of the fresh and homemade pita to complement the delicious eggplant. The octopus ($24) was also very flavorful, but a little in the dry side. The harissa sauce was good and I also enjoyed the spring greens that accompanied the octopus. We didn't find any drinks of interest, so the bartender made up a citrusy cocktail of lemon sour with vodka. A little on the sour side but great to pair with heavier dishes. Dessert was a Lebanese Bombalita ($15) - meringue covered avocado ice cream over a bed of tempura crumbs, nuts and sour cherries. Some caramelised fruits accompanied the dish as well. The avocado ice cream was a little rich for me, but I really enjoyed the tempura crumbs and nuts. Price is a little on the pricey side (over $22 for a starter or a main), but the excellent food and service means I'll be coming back to visit for special date nights or gatherings again!

I was incredibly impressed by this new restaurant- it feels like you are stepping into a space in Paris or London! Food was incredibly good and reasonably priced- recommend oxtail, prawn falafel, humus, charred eggplant, kohlrabi salad, and SHORT RIB was phenomenal. Desserts were also amazing- bombs Alaska and spiced cheesecake. Wished we had tried the baklava though! Staff were delightful and accommodating- I even charged my iPhone and they messed up our dessert order but handled it all like pros. Big open space but never got too loud to chat with a table of four. Such a pretty outlook in all directions so no tables preferable over others. Fabulous large group seating area if you are hosting an event. Would go back in a heartbeat- fave Resto in Sydney at the moment hands down!

The old owners of this place was terrible had no respect for the customers & the food was nothing…read morespecial... then it was taken over by a true entrepreneur (got to listen to his story.. book bio qaulity)!! Ever since he took over the place & made it his own by changing the name & making top qaulity pizzas/kebabs it's been nothing less but perfection :D!! I love all the food at this place & have neverbeen dissapointed & that goes for anyone I've ever taken to eat here & my family & friends that have came over for a big pizza feed :D!! They have medium sized pizzas for about $6.50 - $12.00 which all taste great & fill you up & the selection is big enough for you to have to visit a few times to try all the different ones they have to offer:)!! My 2 all time favourites that i normally grab on the go is the Zaatar pizza for $2.50 which is very popular for breakfast for alot of my Lebanese friends or even as just a great tasting snack:) & the other one is Zaatar special $5.50 which is a healthy kebab you could say with zaatar spread, fresh mint, tomato, cucumber, olives & shallots :D!! He's also started making kebabs which I've never seen any Lebanese bakery do, they are so great tasting that there is no time for photos haha. Pretty sure it was on his mind before but i think the locals pushed him in the right direction after they kept asking if he did kebabs :)!! This place is by far my favorite pizza/kebab joint in the area, definately got my hooked :D!!!

Anyway, I ordered a wrap and couldn't really understand the menu, it seemed to repeat fries, pickles and chicken in the wrap. Then when it arrived I understood. There is a mammoth amount of chicken, fries and pickles IN the wrap - fries inside the wrap. Fries. Inside. The. Wrap. I think I woke up 3 hours later from a carb coma. Go here. Be amazed by the fries in wrap. With pickles.

We appreciated the portion of chippies but they were drier than the desert of the jacoran and appeared older than the ghosts of benjamin past. The chilli dip didn't pair nicely with the chippies which is always a warning sign. The burgies tasted kinda yum but a little dry and could've used a bit more slop. One of the friendjamin ordered salad with his chicky but it came with chippie instead and the extra bread and garlic dip were deemed useless. It almost made him ascend into the hall of shadows and scream with anger...We even ordered the burger that Tayta himself designed...The Friendjamin 3 had never met a chicken man like Tayta to be so cavalier with his reputation...

This…read morecity has a lot to offer with different types of cuisines and specialities, so I'm extremely happy we stopped by SaltVine to check out their tapas. I'm a huge fan of hummus and falafel, and I can guarantee you that this place serves some of the best I've ever had. Delicious and the presentation was impeccable. We also tried their Syrian String Cheese Cigar. Back in the States we thought this would be similar to fried cheese sticks, but we were happily proven wrong. They cheese is fried with a flakey thin pastry around it giving it some serious crunch. The Scotch Meshwi was cooked to perfection. I barely could try any because my brother had gobbled it up so quickly. He's a pretty picky eater so the fact that he excitedly ate all of his carrot purée with that dish says something. It was excellent. We had a side of their Zaatar Fries with is topped with an amazing seasoning and served with your sauce. During our meal with sipped on their homemade lemonade, which we both agreed was probably the best we've ever had. SaltVine clearly puts a lot of thought and care into their dishes and really knows how to create a unique dining experience for their customers. Next time we are in Sydney, we will return!

It is a vegetarian platter but I think most of it is actually vegan so even better. Loved the hommous, potatoes, and fried cauliflower so, so much. Only fault is I wish they gave more of the cauliflower and perhaps took away from something else. It was a very small portion, probably only about 2 pieces from memory and it is one of my all time fav Lebanese dishes so I was a tad disappointed. But everything else more than enough made up for it, and I was actually really surprised with the falafel because I have had so many bad encounters with it I was just pretty sure I hated it, but here it was incredible! Like really really good. They also give you so much bread so you will definitely be full and satisfied by the end of it. Highly recommend this platter. The waratenib was alright, the lemon was very overpowering and hard to notice much else, but it wasn't too bad. Service was also incredibly lovely, so it really did make for an enjoyable meal and evening all around.
