Amazing Lebanese food. I come every time I'm in London. And they are open late which is helpful. Will be back!

Unclear to me why this place doesn't average out to 4.2+ stars. I had a great Lebanese meal here, hummus, pickled veggies, kofta kebab, and some sweets on the house to finish. On my first night back in London since 2019 I wanted the cuisine that Noura served but opted for another nearby place (Iran Restaurant) with a similar menu after quickly scanning Noura's yelp reviews. I went to that other place, as I had in 2019, and found that the prices had skyrocketed while the food and service were subpar. Weeks later I returned to Noura and had an experience that far exceeded my experience at the other place. Everything I ate here was excellent and the service and ambiance matched the food. That is, I liked everything about Noura no matter what the overall yelp score for the place indicates. At lunchtime, two of us opted to share a large Mezze platter (£19.50) and Kefta Kebabs (£20.50; substituted tomato rice for salad). Despite crowds on this day - the Queen's funeral - Noura offered polished service and a leisurely, thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. With its white tablecloths and quiet ambiance, Noura at lunch feels like a bit of upscale indulgence which I imagine appeals to workers at the nearby Saudi Embassy as much as it did to me. Next time I'm in the Mayfair area I won't need to check yelp reviews for Middle Eastern fare in the area. Noura throughly won me over. read more

My second visit to Noura in the past five years reinforced my impressions from my first visit then amplified them. This time, I explored the menu further - at dinnertime - and tried some things that I've not seen on menus where I hail from. The results? Excellent. Fattoush Salad was light and lemony. Lamb skewers (Kafta Meshwiyeh) were delicious. And a hot, yogurt-y dish studded with eggplant brought it all together. What a wonderful meal. They make their own ice cream here and while I applaud that fact I can't say I was a fan of the Pistachio flavor; it was more pistachio than ice cream. Service remains quirky but it grows on you. Oddly, even though the restaurant was basically empty and I sat near the door, the servers opened the door wide after I was seated and left it that way throughout dinner. Dress warmly to prepare yourself for this. Noura has a lot of competition for the same type of food in the immediate area with seemingly everyplace, including Noura, offering the opportunity to do hookah. I've only tried one other place in the area and it's not as good as Noura. Very good food here will keep me returning, probably each time I'm in London. read more

Best chicken kebab of my life. Hands-down with zero question. It totally melts in your mouth. There is zero fat and this is super high-quality. The service by Marianna and Mohammed is second to none. The place is totally romantic. Cannot recommend them enough. read more

This restaurant used to be quite good. Not anymore. Now the food is very inconsistent and, at best, mediocre. Service is also quite poor.

I am so unbelievably sad to write this review. I happened upon this place when I was in London on business in 2006. It was so good and I found everyone to be so nice. I recommended this place to everyone I know who was visiting London. Then I excitedly brought my fiancé (now husband) back in 2008. He loved it too. In August 2022 we were in London with our two young children and walked very far to come here and they refused to seat us outside. There was no one at any of the tables outside. I was so so sad. Because of Covid we relied on the Apple and Yelp designation of "outdoor dining" before walking over - PLEASE REMOVE THIS DESIGNATION AS IT IS MISLEADING. The waiter literally looked at me over the empty outdoor tables and told us we couldn't sit outside. I can't believe I was so loyal to this restaurant for so long and then treated so badly by their staff. I even took a photo as we approached in the hopes this would be a happy, joyful review because I loved this place so much. You can see the outdoor area was empty. Why would they do this to a nice family with two small children? We were forced to leave and I am devastated. read more

Not the kind of place you want to go to.. Unbelievably arrogant and unprofessional - both wait staff and host. I would never recommend a place like this to anyone - aside from food, why subject yourself to this? From most comments and people I've spoken with - food is not very worthwhile here. Have also been to their other location and this kind of approach they have seems consistently poor. I'm in shock at how they run a business like this - aside from maybe certain clients they give a different treatment to. read more

Noura has an excellent reputation among Lebanese who live and travel abroad. I'd never been to any of the locations in London (been to the one in Paris), so on this trip, I decided to give it a try for lunch. The food and service were both excellent. Originally, I wanted to do the Shawarma Platter - the Maitre D, said since it was Sunday lunch, they had not made a fresh skewer of Shawarma and what they had was from the previous night - used as a hummus topper only. I appreciated his honesty as he recommended the mashawi (grill) mix. I ordered that with a side of fattoush. Being gluten intolerant, he ensured no bread was added on the fattoush. After finishing my meal, I requested a cup of mint tea - black tea with fresh mint leaves. In classic Lebanese style and hospitality, he brought a complimentary, and rather large, cup of milk pudding (m'halabiye). Normally they offer a piece or two of bhalkawa, but since I was gluten intolerant, they brought the pudding instead! It was a great experience and would recommend Noura. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars, is probably the price. Even with the complimentary dessert, the bill was 50pounds ($75) - granted I ordered a glass of arak as well, it seemed a little steep for the meal itself. Went there for dinner after a movie at Curzon Theater right across the street. The food was good. My friends and I had a variety of vegetarian mezza, including hoummos, Moutabbal, chopped salad, Falafel etc. Everything was delicious. I also ordered a lamb skewer, and I liked it as well. Overall, I liked my experience there, but that wouldn't be a restaurant that I crave. read more

We have never been treated so poorly or had such a negative experience at any restaurant before. Our family of four walked in to dine before going to the theater, and it was apparent from the minute we sat down, we were not welcome at this restaurant. The wait staff was so frosty rude to us, we could cut the tension with a dagger. We did not understand why, but could see we were the only blond haired diners. The other "local" patrons appeared to be treated better. After a couple of appetizers, that were less than mediocre, we made a hasty retreat and got out of there. I wish we could review the restaurant based on going, but we got shut out on Christmas Eve. I made a reservation online two weeks prior to coming London for Christmas Eve dinner. I received an auto-reply indicating I would get a confirmation. I never got a confirmation. When I tried to call from the hotel in London, I got nothing but a dead line signal. The reception tried calling, but he got an unassigned number. Finally the concierge got through, only to be told that they were closing at 19:30, which was before the time of our reservation! It would have been nice to have been informed before the night of our reservation that they would not be able to honor their online reservation system! read more

I've been to two of the three "finer dining" Nouras in London - Piccadilly and Mayfair (the third is in Belgravia and Knightsbridge has a cafe/deli) - and while the atmosphere could not be more different (big and glam in Piccadilly; small and austere in Mayfair), the food, prices and staff are all consistently top-notch. I find Noura's food a head above what some say is its main competition (Maroush and family). Traditional Lebanese dishes are fresh, not too oily and executed perfectly. Their menu is extensive, but I tend to stick to tried-and-true dishes like grilled halloumi (or the Grilled Kellaj which is simply bread filled with halloumi), hoummos, tabbouleh, chawarmas etc. - and a bit of post-dinner baklawa hits the sweet spot. read more

By far the best Lebanese restaurant I've ever been to. I used to work in Mayfair so this became a favourite place rather quickly. Love the location right on Curzon St. - where you might spot a celebrity or two. I've never had such fresh food in my life. Fav items include hoummos beiruty, mousakaat batenjan (aubergine), labneh (yogurt), moutabbal, and lahm bin ajine ( a lebanese pizza with minced lamb). It's authentic, fresh and the decor is really nice. Well worth the price. Upscale but quite a treat if you want to try something more than your Edgeware Rd fare. A marginal experience in Mayfair. We ordered several dishes for take out. Their Shawarma (mixed) was very dry as if several days old - Aubergine dish was insipid and sad looking, vermicelli rice were tasteless, pita was dry and stale. All the talk about them including baklava and what not, there did not even include any decent (usual) condiments to accompany the dinner. What a waste of a dinner. read more

Wonderful Lebanese food! We ate there 3 times while on holiday as the food was so tasty. The fresh hoummos and fresh-baked pita were just perfect. We felt very welcome at Noura -- even as non-Lebanese regulars. We found the waitstaff very courteous, attentive and very kind in answering all of our questions regarding the food. We've eaten at the other Lebanese in the Mayfair area and highly prefer this one! read more

Delicious food, very friendly staff. Came here with a party of seven on a quiet Tuesday night. Ordered two bottles of wine and they gave us a complimentary third, plus an extra dessert. Delightful experience, everything was tasty. I was impressed with the quality of the Lebanese wines on their list - I'd never had wine from Lebanon before and it paired very well with the meal. read more
