TLDR: Hire Carly ASAP. She is an exceptional doula, and I (and my husband!) couldn't have had the…read morebirth experience we had without her. If I were to ever move, I would fly her to wherever I would be giving birth to be by my side. I have so much to say and don't know where to begin! I truly believe Carly has a calling to do this work and support women through these transformative experiences, so much so that I think she should train other women to be doula's. I had an unmedicated induction made possible by Carly's physical and emotional coaching, encouragement, and support. There is no way I would've been able to have had the birth experience I had without her. It would've been easy for Carly to sub out and not come to my birth. I had a short notice induction 3 weeks early, and called her no less than 36 hours before I needed to go into the hospital. I informed her as as she was walking out of another birth!! Not only did she show up at my house 5 hours after leaving her other birth, she attended my full 24 hour birth having just done a birth two days prior. The energy, kindness and focus she brought to my birth despite what I can only imagine be immense exhaustion is truly remarkable. My husband was by my side my entire birth hip squeezing and providing other physical and emotional support he wouldn't have otherwise been able to provide without Carly's coaching. And without me knowing, they were in constant flow of communication about what I could use/need. Carly is also utterly professional - I gave birth in a hospital and you never know how doctors and nurses will feel. Carly, however, made friends with the nursing staff!!! She also helped ensure I advocated for what I wanted with the doctors, which you really need... I didn't think I would, but it's true -- advocating for yourself (even in amazing hospitals) is really hard in L&D rooms (and I had an uncomplicated labor)... Also, while this may be obvious, Carly is on YOUR team. Though I wanted an unmedicated labor, as soon as I was in transition and requested an epidural (ultimately I couldn't get one because there was no time) she was ready to help me get me one asap! On top of all of this, I had terrible post partum insomnia and Carly extended her stay with me during her last visit to support me and gave me a ton of resources. You'll be in great hands with Carly :)

We recently moved to the Reno/ Sparks area and had no support system locally so decided we needed to hire a postpartum doula. We interviewed a few different doulas, but connect with Carly right away. She's extremely knowledgeable, great at communication, and is overall just so easy to talk to. She truly just felt like a friend coming over to help out. She taught us things like baby wearing, properly prepping bottles, bath time, breast feeding and pumping, how to get our baby burped and into nap time.. Honestly she helped with too many to even list. One of the best perks was her cooking. She is an incredible chef (her Italian dishes are her specialty!) she offers meal prepping for a low fee which kept us fed when we barely had time to think about food. She even handled light cleaning around the house. Hiring her allowed my husband and I to finally have a chance to catch up on sleep, get things done around the house, and gave us a perfect person to coach us through all the hands on stuff. I cannot recommend her enough!

My 6 day old son had a rough start with breastfeeding, not latching well. Lots of tears were being shed by not only my frustrated son but by me as well. Within minutes of sending her a desperate text, she responded with kindness and concern. She even went out of her way to come do a late evening consultation with me, taking her time, answering any questions I had and working to figure out the issue with my sons latch. Needless to say, last night was the first night since bringing him home from the hospital that we had not one but TWO successful feedings, and have kept the momentum up ever since! Krystal checked in with me today to see how I was doing and to answer any other questions I had. Thank you so much Krystal! Not only did you help calm my nerves and make me feel so much better, you helped my son and I achieve successful nursing. You are the best!

This was our second child (our first we didn't use a doula, but wish I had now!) and, as much as I love him, my husband just wasn't enough alone for me the first go around. I knew I needed some added support. That's where Jamie and Stevie came in and filled that much needed gap. My birth experience was extremely positive, full of love and support, smooth and without any regrets or feelings of inadequacy. I know I couldn't have done it without their preparation and commitment. Gosh, the number of times I pinged them in the middle of the night, even well before my delivery... I was always so apologetic about that, but they assured me it was no big deal and that they were there for me any time I needed them. Please, hire them. You won't regret it, I promise!

In addition to Doula services, we decided to take the Evidence Based Birthing 6 week course taught by Stevie, the CPR class and the breastfeeding class taught by Jamie. The EBB course was extremely informative and helped us prepare for the type of delivery we wanted. I felt confident in my decisions around the type of birth I wanted but also prepared for any unplanned changes that may occur. The CPR class was something my husband and I planned to take through the hospital but enjoyed having Stevie come over to our house and receive 1:1 instruction. The breastfeeding class was extremely informative and useful for not only myself but my husband as well. Due to covid restrictions only one doula was allowed in our hospital room so Stevie joined us since Jamie had just given birth to her 4th baby a week prior. Stevie knew our nurses, anesthesiologist, and OB which was comforting. My birth plan changed from what I originally intended and Stevie made sure I was comfortable with the change and helped me feel confident with my decision. My baby's heart rate dropped extremely low a couple times during labor and she helped us stay strong and reassure us that we were in good hands. I couldn't have asked for a better team for our delivery and I think that Stevie is largely to thank for that. 3 days after my baby was born, I became concerned because he hadn't had a wet or poopy diaper in 2 days. I got an appointment with our pediatrician a day earlier than originally scheduled but still had a day to care for my child. I reached out to Jamie and Stevie for advice and Jamie got me connected to a Lactation Consultant and helped me make the decision on a feeding plan until our appointments. She even brought over a bag of breastmilk since my milk hadn't come in yet . I found out that my baby wasn't able to get enough milk from my breast due to some latching issues and worked with the lactation consultant Jamie recommended for the first 2 months of his life. I am now almost 6 months postpartum and now have a great breastfeeding relationship with my child - something I again largely attribute to Jamie. As first time parents, getting a doula was the best decision we made and we couldn't be happier with the services provided by Jamie and Stevie!

All I can say is - I don't know why anyone goes to a hospital!! Before baby arrival - Amanda made me feel like a human being, not a baby production factory. I never had to deal with an underpaid front desk staff - I always had direct contact with her. She took time for all my questions, never made me do extra, or coerced me to do something. When I was late or needed to reschedule there was never a late or cancelation fee, just understanding that I was a busy person. During and after delivery- I made all the choices, I was allowed to follow the flow of my body, and Amanda just gave me confidence I needed. She of course had all of the expertise to keep me safe, but she never made me feel belittled or like I couldn't do it - which was the experience I had during my hospital delivery. So all in all - she helped me have the perfect delivery experience! I felt empowered by what my body could do, in the comfort of my own home, and had a healthy baby.

Sarah took time to meet with us and get to know us before offering her suggestion of which team of doulas might match best. I felt so comfortable with Gianna and Sierra from our very first meeting, and really appreciated how they supported us with two people, opening up options for support during labor and delivery. They provided so many resources and information, and were available for any questions at all which meant so much to me, again, having so much unknown my first time. Gianna ended up being there to actually see me through the labor and delivery. I wasn't sure what to expect, but she came when I felt I really started to need extra support and I cannot IMAGINE having done it without her. She helped me through the hardest parts and helped me feel so supported and safe; she gave me what I needed at points when I didn't know I needed it. Her gentle and calm presence and, even at times laughing with her made such a difference in my laboring. It also was a huge help to my partner and allowed him to take care of things that needed to be while she supported me. She stayed until well after the birth, and even helped wash and clean the sheets and helped my daughter and I with our first breast meeting! When I had a lot of anxiety surrounding breast feeding issues after, Sierra answered so many questions for me that were helpful and at the postpartum visit, they answered so many questions I couldn't have anticipated. They were both an integral part of this miraculous journey and I am forever grateful. I highly recommend either of them if you want extra support and if I ever have another baby I'll be calling them again.

I was recommended by another friend who used her services and from our first meet and greet, I knew she was a great fit. This was my 2nd home birth and I knew I wanted to try a new midwife with my 2nd pregnancy. Tiffany is attentive, real, extremely supportive and knowledgeable. Home birth is about choice, power, safety, spiritual, honoring the birther and child. Tiffany touched on all these and so much more. She delivered the facts, research and left the choices to the parents. From a young adult, I knew I wanted a home birth. After watching the "The Business of Being Born" it solidified my desire. Then covid happened and I was sold on home birth. Now, I can't imagine having gone through labor and birth with the restrictions of a hospital. Thank you Tiffany for showing me care, kindness, protection, and reassurance that I can do it, I did it, we did it and now I only wish I wanted more and more babies so I can go through this scared experience with Tiffany again. And the fact that she brings her business partner, Amanda who is another practicing midwife to all births really portrays the support every birther should have

The last experience pushed me to try something new this time. And I'm so incredibly grateful. Tiffany gave me all the information to questions I asked in a very non-biased way. She gives you lots of time at appointments and is so easy to talk to. She lent me books to read and helped me feel empowered that I could have exactly the birth I wanted. When I had prodromal labor after my due date she came to my home for a non stress test and predicted that the cord was around the neck and suggested getting monitored at the hospital just to be sure everything was ok and that baby could withstand birth at home. She didn't take any unnecessary risks. The birth was at home, calm and perfect - even better than I had hoped (and Tiffany was right - the cord was loosely around the neck). She connected me with Meredith at Nourish Nevada - the most amazing lactation group that has blessed my life after 4 failed breastfeeding experiences with my others. She recommended an amazing pelvic floor therapist that helped my birth be amazing and my recovery even better. I'm actually mourning that this is my last baby because I'm finally surrounded by this incredible team of women who know how to help you have the best experience with birth, have a strong body, feed your baby like a pro and feel so proud of yourself and what your body can do. I can't express how much I wish I had found Tiffany and my team sooner. But better late than never I suppose.
