What a disappointing experience…read more I visited to address a minor skin concern (sebaceous hyperplasia). Upon meeting Dr. Davis, he told me that his practice treats sebaceous hyperplasia and all they do is tap the little bumps with a laser and they dry right up. Sounds amazing! He recommended prepping my skin first. What he failed to mention was that the "prepping" involved extensive (and expensive) products and treatments. I was presented by the esthetician with $400 worth of skincare cleansers and creams to "prep my skin". I explained that I wasn't comfortable spending that much money. We narrowed it down to $190 (I agreed to the retinoid and a mineral sunscreen), and I still felt ripped off. BTW - I could have gotten a retinoid from a normal Dermatologist, and it would have been covered by my insurance. I had a follow-up visit after a month and I was told I would next need several IPL resurfacing treatments (Intense Pulsed Light Therapy), to the tune of several hundred dollars. I do not have hyperpigmentation, I do not have wrinkles, I do not have acne. All I wanted was to address a few small bumps on my face, and I was told during my initial consultation that the office does offer a laser treatment for it. I have never felt less heard by a healthcare professional in my life. The skin issue I visited about was NOT acknowledged nor addressed. If I told them I wanted breast augmentation surgery, do you think they would have told me to wear padded bras for 6 months and then return to schedule the procedure? NO! They would have asked me how many CC's I wanted and would have scheduled the surgery. Steer clear of this place if you want anything minor done to your skin!
