Never heard of a furniture store where you have to hunt down the owner to purchase furniture before but that's what you get with NOVA The owner seemed so helpful but never heard from him again after we had picked out several items and he was supposed to get back to us to see of it was in the warehouse. We called the store 4 times and emailed as well more then three weeks has gone by and we never heard from him! Very very strange, talk about bad customer service! I would put 0 stars if possible! The worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The lack of communication from both the company and then the third-party shipping company is absolutely insane. It's impossible to find anyone via their website company phone number OR email to speak to. They do not answer ANY calls, do not send any tracking information, status update, etc. They push you off to the third-party shipping company who is no better. They lie about dates and times your items are arriving just to appease you then hang up on you when you start questioning what is going on. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!! We just built a brand new house in the greater Boston area and we needed to furnish our entire house. Last January we went to Nova Interiors to buy a leather sofa - they carried the brand that we were interested in. They were very nice and we decided on a set and the price was right - Vitaly - the owner was incredibly helpful etc. Our set was supposed to be ordered right away becuase it is 8 weeks and the furniture is made in Belgium - We returned from Florida early and Vitaly said that the furniture is on the dock in New Jersey but was not approved yet to come off the dock - we have tried and tried and tried to reach him - he even gave me his cell number and I have texted numerous times but NOTHING - once he responded that he had to leave the country for a personal emergency - still nothing - we have been without furniture since March! we have now had to get new furniture and we are trying to get our deposit back - THEY NEVER RETURN PHONE CALLS!!! Me and my hubby went to nova furniture in danvers,ma . Vitaly made us go through thousands of designs , originally from california from the catalogue.. WE picked our bedroom furniture , dinning set and 3 bar stools for our kitchen island .... Delivery arrived on time. he and his friend assembled the furniture and dinning set. We were very happy as it looked awesome . When he opened the package for the bar stools , he only had 2 . one stool was missing , he called the company where we were told they forgot to ship the third stool. He said not to worry as he will ship it out soon in a weeks time and he left..been more than 7 months now neither he answers our calls nor he has sent us the third stool. still waiting on it and yes we paid cash for all our furniture , so there is no way he is giving us our money back. i wish we would have paid cc , could have stopped the transaction . i would have given him 5 stars , but just because he messed up i don't even feel like giving him 2 stars. I bought a dinning set here and was happy with the price and quality. Excellent choices for a contemporary and modern taste. He does not have a big showroom for all the products that he has access and can order for you and I wished the store was bigger so you'd get to see more items but I know that's sort of unpractical. If you're into modern/contemporary design, you may not find that many stores around that would offer that with a reasonable price. I live in Boston and stores around here charge you way more for the same products so worth the trip. I had to edit my review and knock it down to 3 stars because it's impossible to get Vitaly to call you back once the item(s) are delivered and paid for. I agree with the other reviewers, great prices but if anything goes wrong,you're on your own. Nice guy in person but that's about it. So if you want to take the chance, go ahead but be prepared to be disappointed, frustrated and/or angry if something goes wrong. read more

Stopped in with my girlfriend lookin for furniture. The owner, Vitaly, was there and was ridiculously helpful. And was honest, which is nice in a salesperson - didn't feel like he was pushing anything on us. Nice guy. So the stuff - nice stuff. It seems to mostly be European and pretty modern. A couple were like 70s modern, but the vast majority were current and a bit edgy. I really liked nearly all his stuff, but my girlfriend was less enthusiastic (though still quite enthusiastic) - so I'd say that it's a bit male-focused. My guess is it's stuff Vitaly really likes...and he's a guy. The prices were quite fair when compared to the nicer furniture stores. In fact much better than I expected. And it all seemed to be high quality stuff. Some prices much better than Crate and Barrel. It's not that big and it's hidden in a neighborhood of Danvers that's sort of surprising to have a modern furniture store - but definitely worth a visit! read more

An excellent experience. We live in Peabody and Lighthouse Point, Florida. We know the store well but what we needed was for Florida. Vitaly told us no problem as they deliver to Florida all the time. I measured the spaces carefully and found a gorgeous contemporary bedroom set and a wild dining room set as well. The delivery was made on the second floor, no elevator, without issue. When the delivery guy discovered my wife is a gourmet cook AND a huge football ball he even offered to trade me his beautiful wife for mine. A fun experience. Fast forward three years later and everything is still in mint condition. I would highly recommend Nova to friends and relatives. I went to Nova Interiors after finding them through well known home design website. I was looking for a contemporary buffet and found it there at the cheapest price compared to other stores. I was told they have the buffet and it would be delivered in two weeks, 3 weeks tops. Well, over a month past with no follow up phone call from the owner or the sales clerk after several attempts from me to reach them. I paid for my item in full mind you! I got a little worried as I sense they were not being truthful to me. I decided to do some research and found a negative review on line where the customer had a similar experience to mine which made me more nervous. I decided to cancel the order which they never did and would not return my payment. I then decided to proceed with a lawyer and it is only at that time (I am happy to say) that my payment was refunded to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more

I have recently purchased a bedroom set from NOVA's and had one of the best experiences so far, both with the product as well as with customer service. If you are looking for great quality and unique modern design this is the place to go!!! I am a big fan of contemporary styles in home interior design and this place definitely has a great variety of products to offer. One thing I really liked about this place is that while walking around the store and checking out the furniture I did not feel pressured to buy anything - I did not have 5 sales people jumping at me trying to sell me something. The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly, and not pushy at all. The set that I picked had to be back-ordered and it was supposed to take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive, but I actually received it in 3 weeks. The delivery went great too, so I am very happy. I had a problem with the mattress - it was not good quality. It is hard to contact Vitaly the person who runs the store, he never responds to phone calls, although he is a nice guy in person. He did send his folks and added some wood panels to the bed. The store gives better deals than the competition, but if something goes wrong, you are stuck. When we arrived at the store, my girlfriend was more thrilled than I was. When we arrived after a short trip from the south shore to Danvers, MA, I was just a little hesitant to go in and stay inside because the store at 1st glance looked like it was filled with low cost imports. We were also concerned because we were the only ones in the store, and it was a Saturday afternoon. After looking around, we found a few pieces that my girlfriend liked. Shortly thereafter, we met the manager/owner who called himself Vitali who was proud to tell us he was from Minsk in Russia and a young entrepreneur. He wore a scarf and tried to sell himself as an interior designer. After browsing around for a while and thinking Vitali seemed pleasant (don't be fooled), we finally decided on a number of items for our new home including a dining room table, buffet and six matching chairs. Vitali had suggested we pay in advance, but we decided against that and placed an order a week later and agreed to pay upon delivery. We were considering a very expensive 3-piece white leather sofa set which was equal to the cost of everything else that we eventually purchased but were very concerned about the quality and more importantly the warranty in the instance of any defects. To make a long story short, a week later Vatali arrived with a rental truck with the furniture and made it clear he took pride in his business and liked to make the deliveries owing to his care and delicate set up. Following the setup by Vitali, in his presence, we immediately noticed that the base of one chair had been damaged at the base / metal foot with discolored dents and another appeared to have a black magic marker stain (after Vitali left we noticed a 3rd chair had a defect at the base where the leather was folded at the bottom - unlike the other 5 chairs). Vitali assured us and promised to return with 2 replacement chairs within 3 days after my girlfriend paid him in full by check as agreed at the time of delivery. After a week elapsed, we left several messages (978-762-6682 and 617-840-7519) and sent several emails that he failed to return. (UNLIKE HIS PROMPT RETURN EMAILS AND CALLS PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE). In my opinion, Vitali is not a designer, and he proved to be an unethical businessman who steals from his customers. I would strongly recommend against doing business with this store. Time and time again they would promise us that our furniture would be delivered next week, only to have next week come and go and not even a phone call to update us on the status. We then have to call them back to inquire about our order only to be given the roundabout again. It has been 3 months and we still have not received our entire order. It is extremely frustrating dealing with a store that has such poor customer service. The owner/manager seems to be willing to promise anything to get your business and then has no problems going back on his words once you place an order. If you do decide to buy from them, please please do not pay in full until you get your entire order or you will never get your money back. Even though my husband was little hesitant to order from this store we still ordered to take benefit of tax free weekend. While looking thru catalog we heard 3 different times 3 different prices from the store owner. As the prices are not published in the catalog we had to ask the price and when you ask what was the price he would say something else :). Finally we ordered and we were told the set will be delivered in 1 week. Every week we were told next week for more than 6 weeks. We would call the store and some one else would pick up the phone and will tell us that they will call back. No response to emails. After waiting for more than 6 weeks, we finally had to warm them that we would probably have to file a complaint. Still no response. Now we cancelled the order and waiting for the money back. We had people lined up to pick up our exisiting sofas that we had to reschedule. Lucky we did not give away as we would be sitting on thr floor! STAY AWAY - Owner Vitali ripped me off. In Nov. 2013, I went to Nova Interiors looking for gray and white furniture for my new contemporary condo. Vitali seemed very nice and helpful. He recommended that I order a particular glass dining table/chairs and buffet in white. Through the ordering process, Vitali was professional. Vitali told me I'd need to pay at the time of delivery. Vitali actually delivered and set up the set himself. At the time of set up, I instantly noticed two out of six defective chairs. Vitali said no problem, he'd come back on Mon. (3 days later) with new chairs. I also was concerned because the glass table looked very green rather than white. Since it was dusk and not bright out, he suggested maybe to try different bulbs in the dining room. The next day, the set still looked very green. I paid Vitali in full at delivery as was expected and because he agreed to come back a few days later to exchange the defective chairs. HE NEVER CAME BACK. I left several emails, texts and phone calls for Vitali and he never once responded in any way. I also asked if he had any other tables that would not look green since I was disappointed not to have a white glass dining set in my newly decorated white and gray condo, and he never responded to me. Minimally, he should have kept his word and exchanged the 2 chairs. Although appears nice when you are buying, he is deceitful and has no problem ripping off his customers. I am pursuing the BBB and Consumer Affairs regarding Nova Interiors. read more
