Yesterday I went there to buy another gallon of Benjamin Moore that the contractor left behind so I could paint my porch again. Gary at Townline advised me I was using the wrong paint. This is one of the few Benjamin Moore stores in the area and I would rather buy from a local small business in my home town than online, but I will NEVER buy anything here again. I have been there multiple times. There is an employee who seems to always be at the cash register. He always has a miserable look on his face and acts as if you are bothering him when you ask him to ring something up. I bought a gallon of brown paint there recently. When I opened it at home, it was oozing green goo. I have never seen anything like it. The man was unapologetic and said it just needed to be mixed again. He mixed it. I brought it home and tried to use it the following weekend. Same thing. I brought it back the following weekend and the man at the cash register said he wanted to take a look. As if I was somehow responsible for the problem. He offered to mix it for me again. I couldn't believe it. When I asked for a refund, he grumbled, but finally gave it to me. I ended up going to the Ben Moore dealer in Medford called Modern Hardware. They were unbelievably nice and even kept the store open a couple of min late so they could finish mixing the paint I needed. read more

We just bought a house. This was our second trip here and both times, the staff has gone above and beyond. They truly care about your project, and give real advice- not real expensive advice. Nothing they recommend was the most expensive in the store and the owner took time to go over different options for finishes and colors, as well as make sure we were getting the exact color we wanted. (Leave it to me to pick a very specific color) but it all worked out well thanks to them! read more

Amazing service! We bought a house with a half-stained deck (there was a vine growing in/on the deck, which we removed, discovering unstained half of deck), previous owners told us the brand of stain but not the color. The salesperson at Town Line looked at a photo we had, grabbed some stain, and painted a sample piece of wood for us. I wasn't so sure of the color, but he was pretty confident it was right. We stained the remainder of the deck and you can't tell which part is newly stained vs the original! It turned out way better than we expected. Also the recommended paint brushes were really nice. This paint store cannot color match paint needed for touch up work - they cannot be bothered. Go to HD they have the technology and know how to create a perfect match for your touch up work saving you time and $$. These folks will tell you it can't be done and that you have to re-paint so they can sell you more product. read more

This place is our go-to anytime we have some painting to be done! My entire family swears by Joyce's recommendations. I have never met someone who is so spot on with color selections. I purchased my first home this past year and she seriously helped me pick every single room. Make sure when you visit you bring tons of pictures so she really gets a feel for the space. Hi, I bought my paint at a hardware store that sells Benjamin Moore paint. I wanted to paint a wall with 2 tones of green because I had a chair rail that separated the wall. The color the hardware store made (I won't mention names) totally messed up the matching top color paint, when confronted they said they could not help me, there was no way they could fix it. I was basically going to have to go somewhere asap and buy another $55 dollar gallon of paint. I went to Townline and met Gerard and Gary. They both looked at the paint and said no way does the greens go with each other at all. They looked at both greens and added tints to my top color and WOW what a gorgeous match. They did this for me at no charge. I literally cannot believe how nice they were to me and how they saved me (painters were basically waiting for the new paint) had it not been for their expertise and kindness, I would have blue and green walls!!!! I just purchased a new home and to say the least was completely overwhelmed by the hideous wallpaper that I thought would never end.. Layer upon layer of wallpaper that reflected the times chronologically. I found Townline Paint while searching the web and I was intrigued by the selection of brands that were available there.
