2410 Hoffmeyer Rd. My wife needed documentation of her Covid status before going to work. We have regularly gone to McCleod urgent care but the wait is horrendous minimum 2 hours. I have passed this Doctor's care just never registered in my mind to visit until now. We either got lucky or other people forget it too as there were only 2 people in lobby area ahead of us. I think the point of urgent care is to be seen quickly and get prescriptions called in which this location delivered on. The seating/chairs are less than McCleod. read more

As a healthcare provider. I would have to say NO. I think management and all licensed clinicians should evaluate their contribution to healthcare and the mission to provide for this community. I checked in online at doctors care/Hoffmeyer around 9am. They gave me an estimated arrival time of 12:45. Then I get a text message saying they're running 70 minutes behind. At 2:32, I get my text to arrive within 30 Minutes. I pull in 20 minutes later and get a text (while in the parking lot) that ive been removed from the queue. I walked in and explained what just happened....they said it wasn't them, the system removed me and that I go back to the bottom of the wait list. They literally put the fault on me for not calling and verifying that there was a delay, saying no one should ever wait that long. read more

worse doctors care by far in florence. Registered online at 11, was text to come to the office at 2:55pm. Got there to have to wait 3 hours to not be seen because I schedule early so I could pick my kids up from daycare. Asked could I be tested and finished virtually just like they did during Covid and was told no. Wasn't even many people there, walked to the back and everyone sitting around not even trying to look busy. read more

Not surprising as a VA walk in clinic, worse than the VA. double booked CORVID shots. long wait time. Forgot about in treatment room for 30 minutes. discovered by accident when tech was bringing back another pt. did not see any sanitization of rooms between patients. tech who performed injection prepped post injection band aid by opening sterile package, exposing the sterile band aid pad, placed one tab end on scrub sleeve for easy access contaminating the sterile pad. did not let him use on me. No positive ventilation air flow to keep virus and bacterial contamination down. temp extremely warm for a medical treatment office combined with poor ventilation, makes the office a incubator for germs. I had no option for the vaccine. Never again Irby St location was better when it was open. If my primary MD had the CORVID vaccine, I would have used him. read more

In light of the negative reviews I see on this site I felt I needed to post my experience. I have been to this Drs Care twice. I was bitten with a spider and had a severe reaction. I had a short wait time, the front desk people were okay, and the doctor was very good. He took his time with me, listened to me and seemed quite compassionate. He treated me aggressively (in a good way!) due to the severity of my condition and my medical history. I was given an injection and a couple of prescriptions. When I did not respond as quickly as I should have I returned, as I was told to. The doctor gave e a different injection and a different prescription and I did much better.ce I would recommend them based on my experience. I am grateful they are there. read more

My wife and I had our first Covid vaccination at the Hoffmeyer location. They scheduled us for the second vaccination in three weeks. We drove two hours to return for the second shot only to find out that they had no vaccine. They did not contact us to let us know not to come. They told us they would call us in in three days at 8:30 am to see if they could get us the second shot. After not being called, we called them at 8:45 am to ask about the vaccine and were placed on hold for 40 minutes. After not being responded to, I called them on another phone and finally got resolution to my issue and a promise of the vaccine in three days. Meanwhile, I received a call from another Doctors Care location, closer to my home, saying they would provide the vaccine to us immediately. We accepted the invitation because we do not ever intend to visit the Hoffmeyer location ever again. There was quite a difference in that location and the one that gave us our second shot. The people at the other location were friendlier, more professional, and were completely open and forthright in what they could and could not do and answered our questions with respect and dignity. read more

I called to see if they perform a specific procedure. They said yes so I came in at 9:00am and waited for 4 hours to be seen. When it was my turn I was told they no longer perform that procedure. They charged me for the assessment just the same though. Terrible people. read more

While I was waiting here, I saw the front desk clerk apologize to another patient that she had given her medical card and drivers license to another patient but that she had called the other patient and she would be right back to the office to switch. I wish I could say differently for the doctor. I had a sore throats and tried to explain that I had a partial tonsillectomy. She told me "I don't know how told you that honey but you don't have any tonsils back there." I had the surgery when I was 21. I tried to explain the surgery but she still didn't seem to believe me. How can she diagnosis my illness with her dismissal of my health history. If Doctors Care would pass along the following article to educate their doctors it would be greatly appreciated. I had no problems with my visit to this location. I was a walk-in without an appointment. I watched as the other patients ahead of me were called in a normal timely manner. The receptionist seemed busy but was not unpleasant. The doctor was focused and attentive. I was satisfied with the service. I have since called to inquire about booster shots. The receptionist was very pleasant. Again, I felt as though I was treated well by this location. I will continue to use Doctors Care. read more

I really don't recommend them. They were no help and the nurses seemed pretty clueless. After an office visit and two phone calls I was told I "might" need to go to the ER. I never saw or spoke to an actual doctor. The online check in doesn't actually work, I'm not sure why. You will still wait a considerable amount of time. Try a different urgent care place, this is the worst one I've ever been to. read more

I would definitely not recommend going to this location! I totally understand that sometimes doctors may be running a little behind and you may have to wait especially if you are just walking in, but I had a 4 o'clock appointment and, I checked in online in hopes that it would be a little faster. I was told that there was only 2 people ahead of me. Just TWO people! I waited from 4 until 5:45 in the waiting room, then I got called to triage and put in another room to wait for almost another hour and a half with no explanation of such a long wait which is completely ridiculous. They are completely unprofessional, the receptionist doesn't even have the capability to even talk properly. While in the waiting room she takes a call from what I assume was someone she knew who was asking to speak to an office manager, and she responded by shouting "why you calling here for that, you know ain't no office manager here gone work on the weekend, they gone take Friday Saturday and Sunday off!"...so maybe it's just a mess on the weekends when there is no management obviously. It really baffles me that this is the kind of staff that works along with people who supposedly have a phD. Not to mention that my pharmacy had even closed by the time anyone came in to see me, I would have been better off by going to the ER, it probably would have been a lot faster! I am extremely furious at the service from what is suppose to be doctors office, there is absolutely no patient care! Honestly 1 star is actually way more than what they truly deserve. read more
