Can't say enough about my visit today. Went in sick as a dog, dreading that it was an urgent care. To my surprise, the minute that I walked in, there was peace that set me at ease. Chris at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful, as were both of the assistants that triaged and helped with procedures. Dr. Cindy was amazing: professional, competent, wise, terrific bedside manner. Everything was fast and expedient, a definite 5 stars!!!! I honestly don't understand all the bad reviews. Everyone here is fantastic, from the front desk to the Dr's. They are friendly and caring. I've been here multiple times over the years for various reasons, back pain, ear infections, illnesses. They have always helped me. Yes, it's a walk in place so you MAY have to wait. Early Fri a.m. my husband woke up very dizzy, off balance and vomiting. When the symptoms did not improve after 4 hours we went into this urgent care. There were 5 people ahead of us. This was at 11 a.m. We completed the paperwork and paid our fee. There was nothing that resembled triaging of need. We sat there watching two "receptionists" take co-pays and paperwork, listen to music and seemingly do little else. We saw 2 people come in with possible COVID symptoms get rushed to a backroom and given masks, but no one attempted to to wipe down doorknob or other touched surfaces. We saw an elderly man with a loosely wrapped right arm who was in pain, sit there for hours. We a family of three try to keep a very bored child occupied while the mother sat in pain with a bad ankle or knee in the only wheelchair available in the facility. We watched a Myrtle Beach construction worker with flu like symptoms sit for hours clearly miserable, dabbing his eyes, and his runny nose. We also watched one woman bring in another woman who was unable to put weight on her right foot. They could not put her in a wheelchair because it was still in use. And I continued to watch my husband, I'll, with no hope of help, for almost 5 hours. Finally, we are called to the inner sanctum! There is 1 intake person, 1 physician assistant and 1 xray tech/ekg person. These staff people were professional, friendly, thorough. AND ridiculously overworked. My husband's ekg was abnormal and as we are leaving we are now referred to the ER! REALLY? If he needed that, he should have been sent there 6 hours ago! To be clear, this is not the staff's problem. This is a management problem. If your purpose is to urgently provide medical care to individuals in need then your staffing numbers need to increase during busy times to do so. Furthermore, all staff need to work at capacity to assist patients, even if you are helping them walk in the door, sanitizing door handles or periodically cleaning the bathroom that the patients and families use. I went here and ended up finding out I had two ear infections. They told.me to put ear drops in my ears twice a fay. That's less than any ever doctor ever told.me to do when having outer ear infections. They also said it was 150 and I received a bill for 267 dollars after already paying 88 st the time of visit. Needless to say my ear did not vet better and when I called to request a refill they told.me I had to come in again. I'm not spending another 350 dollars to get my problem solved. I'll just sit here for a month with an ear infection until I can vet to my primary care doctor. Thanks for nothing. read more

I'm in vacation so I did not think I would have to go to an urgent care, but I did. While the wait was expected (2 hours), I was not greeted in a professional manner. When I completed my paper the receptionist threw it aside and said I would have to wait until she got to it. While waiting, k overheard the doctor say that she should not have signed up for today. I took my husband to doctor's care July the 25th on Tuesday he tested positive for covid they would not put him on any antibiotics the nurse practitioner had no bedside manners very rude her name was Hristian Dixon very rude nurse practitioner I would not recommend her at all I was in there on Sunday I tested positive for covid the doctor there put me on antibiotics and she said I should never went on antibiotics the staff there is very nice but the nurse practitioner she is very rude I would never go back to that place if she's working there read more

Don't go here. Chiquita Jones just lied and said she was the manager of doctors urgent care when my mother just called them about the treatment her granddaughter got there. She left crying and unable to breathe and not seen because Ms.Jones yelled at her and wouldn't allow her to wait inside the EMPTY waiting room after being informed the patient has severe asthma and NO A/C in her vehicle. She insisted she wait in her vehicle. When asked to speak to the manager she Chiquita Jones was yelling and rude and stated she didn't care about her. This office is a joke and I believe I was racially profiled by ms. Jones because I am American Indian. The granddaughter also has brain damage and is disabled from head cancer and they knew this and still treated her so badly. Then another patient with her son came in and were allowed to sit inside. I absolutely LOVE this doctors care.. I saw they had a one star review which I think is crazy! They always get me in the day of, and have always gone above and beyond at a very small price! I just moved here from California so maybe the appreciation for a good urgent care is taken for granted by South Carolinians because back home it takes countless weeks to get into even an urgent care. Worst walk in ever. Idk how it has good reviews. The half bald guy in the front wish the mesh mask was an asshole and really doesn't deserve to work with sick pts . Every other drs care has treated me with the upmost respect but clearly this place doesn't know anything about respecting their pts. Also they told me an hour I waited 2.5 hours and left came back first thing in the morning and waited another 2.5 hours. Wish I could give zero stars that's how trash this place was. Didn't even do anything to help me when I have a 102 fever. I honestly don't think the "dr" is even a dr bc she had no idea what she was talking about. read more

8 people ahead of me so I waited a while. Employees were all nice. Had an X-ray. They listen to your concerns and try to help you with what you need. Blown away by the staff here. The nurse was fantastic and Dr. Rhoades brought actual tears to my eyes with the way he treated my son. He was so kind,caring,compassionate and funny! Lied about taking my insurance, I asked the front desk if they take my insurance. I waited before I was seen as front desk "looked it up". Said they do. Paid my $15 copay and went on. A Nurse PA(not a Doctor) saw me. and I went about my way. I went here versus CVS under the indication I was seen by a doctor an they take my insurance. If I known they were going to charge 155 for visit to see a Nurse PA, 75 for weekend, 30 for oxygen totaling 250, I would have gone to CVS minute clinic across the street for the same exact services. I had a cold, nothing more.In the end they did not take my insurance and I received a bill in full. I called to dispute the charges, they had no concern for lying to me about taking my insurance and did not tell me all the charges for night and weekends with oxygen up front. I checked in online and got my text 45 minutes before my appointment time. I arrived about 20-30 minutes early so I filled out the paperwork and paid my copay. It's Doctors care so you can expect to wait, even if you check in online. I don't mind that so much because I was seen quicker than if I had just walked in. Overall, this is a nice office because it's new. The staff is friendly. And the time waiting wasn't horrible. I always recommend checking in online if possible though. Because you can expect to wait longer if you don't. read more

I had to be tested for coronavirus since my child was exposed at work and as a precaution I wanted to be safe around others. I was told 48-72 hours and here we are 6 days in and the lab they use is so far behind they said they have no idea when it will be back. The people at Doctors Care are nice but they need to rethink the lab they are using because time is money. I had two people in my office go on Monday to 2 different places and they both got their results back in 4days this is totally ridiculous! Come to find out they tested us Sunday and the samples never went to the lab and were dated until TUESDAY really????????? read more
