We are in NMB on vacation from out of state. Our son fell off his skateboard and injured his wrist…read moreand we were afraid it was fractured. We waited for probably an hour and a half on what was a very busy night for the office. However, everyone was exceptionally friendly and we received multiple apologies for our wait. When we finally saw the Physician's Assistant (PA), she was EXCEPTIONAL! She put my son at ease immediately. She did a couple of movement tests on his wrist to determine what hurt and what didn't. She took the time to explain to us what the bones in an 11 year old wrist look like and what her concern was, and then ordered X-rays. We sat for another 15 minutes or so while we waited for the results. She advised us that she wasn't a radiologist and that we'd hear officially from the radiologist within 48 hours, but she saw no fractures and was confident it was just a sprain. She applied a splint/brace and prescribed Motrin and ice and sent us on our way. We've been to our share of urgent care facilities and this PA's bedside manner was simply amazing. At no point were we made to feel rushed or like we were just another in a long line of patients. The PA took her time with us and made sure we, and more importantly our son, walked out feeling like we'd been listened to. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Yeah, you'll have to wait, but I defy you to show me an urgent care anywhere where you don't have to wait your turn. We come to North Myrtle Beach every summer and I know we'll use Doctor's Care for any future medical needs while we're in town.

I said No I'm not going to a hospital I'm not that sick just have gas and upset stomach. She told me I could treat that over the counter. I needed Bloodwork and sonogram and what hospital do you want to go to? I said No I'm not going anywhere but back to my BMW! I was made to sign a waiver refusing transport to hospital. Yeah she's one of the best Dr's I ever seen and wouldn't go back there if you paid me Stay away from this Dr I don't know where she got her license or if she has one. Seriously go to Market Commons location my husband says that location is better. The next day the Dr office called me to ask how I was feeling? Didn't bother to answer-talked with my sister in law who is a nurse in Dallas, and told me what to do. Feeling much better. This Dr doesn't need to continue to practice She doesn't know what she is doing!! Save Yourself the money go somewhere else! Also reporting this to BBB & Medical Association.

Literally a joke of a practice. Do not get into healthcare if you are not willing to help the sick…read more I walked in at 6 and their sign says open until 7. They told me that they couldn't see me because they were at capacity. I look around and there is a mother and her son sitting in the waiting room. I ask how they are at capacity and the lady at the front desk tells me that they have 5 or 6 people waiting in rooms. I let the lady know that I will wait until 7 and if the doctor can see me then great but if not then fine but I'm willing to wait. She wouldn't allow me to do this. She told me that if they couldn't let people in otherwise they would be here all night. I asked her why the sign said open until 7 if they are turning away patients at 6. She told me that she isn't turning me away that I can come back tmrw. Really? No thank you and I don't ever plan on going back. You get into healthcare to help people and you understand that sometimes you may have to work a bit longer. You take all the good and bad that comes with it, not only the times that you feel like doing it. The thing is, I already told the lady what was wrong with me and that I just needed a prescription wrote. Taking my business elsewhere

The billing practices here are horrible!! You don't receive bills and they force you to pay prior…read moreto getting your EOB. We received a refund from an overpayment and the next time we went we were told we had a balance due with no explanation. I emailed their billing department numerous times asking for itemized statements including payments made so I can compare with my EOB's and did not receive them. When I called their billing company the owner was extremely rude and told me she would not send me the itemized statements so I told her by law she had to. At that point she told me I was "threatening" her business and hung up on me. Prior to that my BCBS advocate emailed her and called her several times with no response. Three days after I was hung up on, I was sent a letter by Rachel saying she would no longer see me because I violated the patient standards agreement. Honestly, if they are going to terminate you as a patient because you question their billing policies, it shows you where their first concern is!! I have been going there for over three years and never had a problem until this new management/billing company took over. Even their staff complains about them!!!!! Welp, I believe everything happens for a reason! I wasn't planning on going back anyway until my billing situation was resolved.
