My son is now in 1st grade: He loves his school and looks forward to hearing about God and reading his bible. His reading and math skills have caught up as last year he was behind when we started at Marin Christian. We are so grateful to see how great he is doing and my son is so proud of his achievements here. My daughter was only at Marin Christian for Jan 2024 to June 2024, then transitioned to high school. She says what she learned in those few months have stayed with her and that she is much closer to God and this has helped her find her way at high school. She also was behind as she was home schooled over covid. In these few months this school was able to help with confidences and taught her what she was missing to do great in high school. The education at Good Shepherd is very hands-on as the classes are smaller and more personal. Laura the principal, heads a group of committed educators who genuinely care about their students. They strive to educate without creating a stressful environment. The language arts is fantastic. It fosters the type of analytical thinking that creates critical and creative thinking. This is a wonderful school providing a nurturing academic experience. We are very glad we chose to send our son to Good Shepherd Middle School.

Update: Noah's Ark has been cited and fined by the State Department. This organization created…read morefalse documentation in our family law custody dispute. Marin Christian has been fined and admonished by the State Department for failing to support parental rights and for false reporting. Marin Christian/Noahs Ark administration got inappropriately involved in our custody case by being a trial witness for dad and made meritless claims. Their school administrator complained to the family law judge that I was a demanding parent by making a ONETIME request for my daughter's student file. All parents under the State Department have a right to request for their child's students file without being penalized. The administration also created false statements and willful misleading reports for our custody case filled with meritless speculations. I'm glad to say, my daughter no longer attends this poorly managed school since I am now the primary caregiver to our child resulting from the school's biased witness statements in our custody trial. Despite providing the administration a copy of our custody order, Marin Christian failed to provide me any information for my daughter for over a year. I had reached out to management and the board for early resolution but was blatantly ignored because the dad was on their PTA and had personal relations with Marin Christian organization. My recommendation is for Marin Christian senior leadership and board members review its policies and procedures to ensure their organization and the school administrators are adhering to State Department policies and guidelines to ensure the school is abiding by the law, not making baseless accusations, not getting inappropriately involved in custody matters and not having parental bias. Very disappointing actions from a Christian-based institution.

My own kid got int Cal :)From the exceptional Counselors (Laura T) , to the award winning teachers, this place is awesome! I am so grateful for the education my kids received from this High School. If you are lucky enough to get accepted into the STEM program, you will have Mr. Williams, who is absolutely wonderful. My son decided to study physics due to this amazing teacher. I love, Love, everything about this school. My kids were involved in Volleyball, football, baseball, Lacrosse, and wrestling. All I can say is the coaches and experience was great. The community of Novato is so involved in school activities. This is a place where the teachers actually care about the kids. Novato itself is a gem with tons of hiking trails and great weather. People really care about each other in this town, and I hope it never changes.

They recently installed solar panels for electric which is awesome! The stadium is great and it doubles as the running track. I'm not sure if you can run on it if you're just a local resident or not. The auditorium is awesome! They have 3 plays there per year all in the summertime. I've seen Gypsy, Into The Woods, and several other awesome plays and musicals. Anyone can try out! It's not just for school kids. The talent is amazing! I urge everyone to head to one of these plays during the summer. It's great fun and awesome to support local thespians! The price is right too! The school is really dated though and very uninspiring to look at. Whoever designed this campus should not be an architect. It's boxy buildings with dark wood siding and concrete columns. It's a fairly large campus and they have lots of space for their sports fields.

Why Does NUSD Own Land Off San Andreas?…read more You know that big lot on San Andreas, off San Marin Drive (near San Ramon Elementary)? The gynormous empty lot with the "No Trespassing" sign? NUSD owns all that land. It's one of their closely guarded secrets. They've owned it for over 20 years. Why? And why haven't they done anything with it? They give good (young) teachers pink slips at the end of the years and ask parents to pony up money "to save our schools," yet they're sitting on a piece of property that must be worth $15M. So... why not donate that land to the city and create a nice park over there? There are no parks on that side of town, just an elemntary school with Hell's Own Gophers creating holes that kids trip in constantly. Or create a Little Theater there that all the schools could use for various functions and performances. There are lots of things that could be done with it. But the first thing someone at NUSD needs to do is own up to the fact that they own that property. (Or just sell it and then ditch Common Core, which is ruining our kids.) Someone do something resembling anything, please.

I did as much as could because like most people I actually have to work a job that pays. After spending 4 hours there I told them I'm sorry I have to get to my other job. You would think that investing that much time would result in being hired. But no it did not. All I can say is any other place would have respected a persons time and not wasted half of their day. they would have gotten all the people together and had a panel interview. so I mean all I can say is that I feel really disrespected by this staff. Who does that? I dunno. if you like bougie people that clearly do not mind wasting your time this is the perfect location for you. And sorry I do have to say this because you must be an extreme elitist to think wasting half a work day doesn't impact the average joe. it does. if someone who has helped open wellness centers and is on the 40 under 40 list for the north bay business journal isn't good enough for them, then who is? thanks! Not only this but the person in charge Stacy Cohen, left me several times during this 4 hour stink to wait on the admin who had not received any copy of this interview schedule from the day before. She had emailed me the night before this schedule telling me she had been sick on her travels but when I got there and she was coughing all over the place she continue to tell me she wasn't sick. One of the people she had set up to interview me never even showed up. They were not even on the campus that day. So I sat for an hour of my time waiting for someone who isn't there to show up in a library while I could have been at my actual job. So not only is this snobby elitist behavior but inconsiderate and rude. If this is what you want from your admin staff of your school please go here. Not to mention being extremely combative over things that made no sense. She apparently got angered when I shared an answers from one of her staff as if this was my opinion. A major lack of ability to take any criticism, it was an extremely unprofessional interview in which at the end I still offered to come back another day to meet with these other people who could not be there that day and since I was leaving. Instead they just waited till after the holiday weekend to tell me no thanks.
